Ahhhhh CANCEL MY LAST REVIEW. WORST AND MOST INCOMPETENT SERVICE DEPT. I won't be buying another Acura due to this horrendous service department To bad. I really like this car. But my future car will come from a dealership that has a good service team. That's my criteria going forward. Although I hear New Orleans has a poor reputation all around for dealerships service DEPT's. They mislead you about when they have parts and if services are being taken care of. I'll tell you the whole story when I calm down. I'll post another one star review with it. Okay on a recent Development the Service manager has taken my account over in order to get my issue resolved. Will follow this up with Yelp reviews.

Car being loaded on flatbed at Walker Acura to be taken to Acura of Baton Rouge.

TL; DR -- If you are in NOLA and want an Acura, or need service, GO TO ACURA OF BATON ROUGE. SKIP THIS PLACE ENTIRELY. Walker Acura is grossly substandard in every categorical way. I've had two experiences with this dealership (sales experience in 2022 and now a service experience in 2024) and both have been disasters. From the manager level down, these guys have no concept of what customer experience is, or what it should be. When dealing with Walker Acura, you, the customer, will need to exert maximum effort to get the absolute least from them. I'm not sure what the New Orleans area did to deserve this awful dealership as its only Acura option in the city. How Acura allows these fools to continue destroying their brand's reputation is breathtaking to me. The many negative reviews for Walker are well-earned. PLEASE ACURA USA - pull the license from this clown show and the incompetents who run it -- they simply don't deserve it, and your customers in New Orleans truly deserve better. My two experiences with Walker Acura are as follows: First, when I purchased my TLX new from them in 2022, they damaged the car right off the delivery truck. They fixed it, but were in no rush to do so and getting updates from them was like pulling teeth. It took over a week to get the vehicle back. Additionally, I was refused an Acura loaner but they gave me a not-so-gently used Accord from their used lot. It was so disgustingly filthy, I had to wash it myself. A manager never called me to check in. This was unacceptable. Unfortunately, this week my TLX started exhibiting weak starts. I could not get to Baton Rouge this week, so this leads to my second experience with Walker Acura. I arrived at my 11:30 am service appointment for a battery check. Unfortunately, I had to wait there since Walker Acura sometimes has a courtesy shuttle for customers, sometimes not, it "just depends" as I was told. Lisa, the lady at the front desk, did not give me a time estimation like she said she would and did not provide me updates as she said she would. I had to approach her. Ultimately, after three hours, they determined it was a battery and replaced it (under warranty) and I was on my way. Except the battery wasn't the issue because the vehicle was still giving weak starts. So I made another appointment at Walker Acura (against my better judgment). I dropped it off Thursday after work, and Lisa assured me she would have an update for me by lunch time Friday. Plot twist... she didn't. I called her at noon, she had no update. She called me back at 3:00pm: fuel pump is faulty, the car cannot be driven, the part will take 7 business days to arrive. Nice to know I drove the car for 5 days when it shouldn't have been thanks to their misdiagnosis. Since under warranty, I asked for a loaner. Lisa said there were none available, and I was #24 in line. When I asked for other options, Lisa said she'd email Chip (IDK who that is). Instead of CALLING me back, Lisa texted that, per her service manager, I would need to call Acura's 1-800 number and plead my case for a rental. I asked Lisa to have her manager give me a call to discuss. Lisa never replied and the manager never called me. I won't do business with a dealership that conducts business this way; that cannot diagnose a problem correctly; and I don't trust them to safeguard my vehicle for 7 business days since they've damaged it once (and now I see reviews from others alleging the same). SO AT MY OWN COST, I arranged for my TLX to be moved to Acura of Baton Rouge on a flatbed truck. No one thought to ask me why I was moving the vehicle. But I sure did see them watch as it was loaded on the flatbed. Lisa obviously knew the wretched experience they provided me because she would not acknowledge me and evaded all eye contact. But she did turn very red. Attached, pictures of my TLX on the flatbed at Walker Acura. Major props to B&M Towing in Nola!

When I've needed minor things done before such as oil changes or tires patched, I've ventured to other people because they are closer to where I live. This was when I was younger and less intelligent, of course. I stick to who I know I can trust. Automotive Services is the only place I go to for my maintenance, repair, questions... everything. I took my car over and spoke with Mike and Henry on the issue. I was really surprised on how well they treated me. When they looked over the problem they were able to quote me a much lower price than expected. Furthermore, I really felt as though they were looking out for my best interests. They saved me a ton of money on getting the car back to a driveable state without pushing additional unneeded repairs. When I picked up the car, not only did they fix the main problem, but also tightened my belts that were squealing with no additional cost. These guys are AWESOME!. I brought my vehicle to Allen's Automotive Services after leaving from another shop that had done a…read morediagnostic test and it determined that I needed transmission work/repair done. So I was able to drive it to Allen's Automotive on Utica St. in Metairie, La. I explain the repair work according to the diagnostic reading from the first shop who weren't able to do the work, the employee asked what code did the diagnostic machine give, I called the other shop and the tech sent via text, the code as well as a picture as it was still in his machine I shared it with D. DillenKoffer at Allen's Automotive Services, who then said to me yes we can take care of it for you. So I left my vehicle there at Allen's Automotive. Couple days go by and I get an email from Allen's Automotive in the form of a bill for $3,557.37, which I didn't have but I was relieved to see that there was financing available, so I had the work financed and approved in late January (2026) I got a text that my vehicle was ready to be picked up and because I had the work financed that all was a go I had filled out the necessary documents for the financing part and that it was cleared and I was able to come and get my vehicle, however when I arrived I was told by V. April that it didn't go thru (financing) but actually what he did was added the labor for a part I had supplied which I did not have a problem with but it was just the way he went about it, stating that the financing didn't go thru. I had started receiving emails asking to review Allen's Automotive Services at the time I wasn't quite ready to review Allen's Automotive Services. So I have my vehicle about two months and I noticed oil leaking from the exact spot where the work was performed, so I brought the vehicle back once I noticed the transmission oil leaking, once back at the shop explaining the oil leak I noticed that I was treated differently from when I initially went in for the work to be done, the tech got on it and tightened the bolts of the transmission pan, he used a small hand held battery charged rachet to tighten the bolts. I then get in my vehicle and left, I think that was in mid March, on or about August 4th or so I noticed another oil leak in my driveway under the vehicle so I took pictures of the leak under vehicle as well as oil on the transmission bolts on front of pan and on the rear pan bolts as well as the side pan bolts also, I got under vehicle and touched my finger on one of the bolts that had an oil droplet on it and rubbed it between my fingers, the color of the oil was red as in transmission oil. I called the office and asked if I could get a copy of a receipt that I had misplaced, the lady asked my name or number she located the receipt and sent it to me via email I wasn't sure if work was still under warranty so I brought the vehicle back to the shop again. I was explaining that the transmission was leaking oil again one of the techs said he'd come out and check transmission oil and top transmission oil off and that they weren't able to do anything else that day because they were full. The tech check trans oil and topped it off. He and I walk back in the office and he checks the work order just to be sure it was covered under the warranty the tech then tells me to bring the vehicle back Tuesday August 11th so I asked the tech if I could get something in writing because if I had gotten a trip out of town that it might've brought me over the warranty miles and another guy in the office answered as if he was irritated with my presence and questioning concerning the warranty and he snapped at me saying look we're gonna honor your warranty alright and I asked who he was and he replied in a puffed up manner oh I'm the GM over the shops, and if I say we're gonna honor it we will, it was V. April. So I leave the shop drove to New Orleans and then back to my home in Laplace, La that was Friday August 7th. I came home and parked vehicle and didn't move or drive it till Tuesday August 11th when I brought the vehicle back and it was parked across the street from the shop in back of some Banquet Hall, Wednesday (today) I get a text explaining inspection performed and that it was found to be motor oil blowing back on transmission pan bolts and oil leaking from valve covers on engine and I was sent another bill totaling over $6,000.00 for that work which I declined. I really don't/didn't feel they handle this properly and my warranty wasn't honored, nothing was done about transmission leak cause I know what I touched on my fingers was red transmission fluid, no one can make me think it was anything else.

Bought the OEM replacement part from the Subaru dealership and Allen's was able to install the customer provided part in a timely fashion for an insanely affordable cost ($~250). Got me back on the road and didn't bleed me dry, can't complain! Top tier customer service. Would definitely come back for more work in the future.
