Jesse and his team not only offered me an affordable solution but do a beautiful job every time. INITIAL QUOTE Jesse came over the same day I contacted him. Because my lawn is so large he needed to measure it to determine a special price package for me. I opted to pre-pay, which provided me with a generous discount. On the whole, Jesse actually under-priced the job per the time it takes to execute. He preferred to err to the benefit of his customer, and he refused to increase the charge after he committed to it. We agreed that we would do less cosmetic trimming to cut down on time, but Jesse still aims at perfection and he never leaves before everything looks perfect. MY LAWN & PROPERTY NOW Jesse has a huge mower that cuts the majority of the lawn. This is done without a bag, which I have no problem with. Jesse comes every week during the lawn-growing season here in Minnesota, to keep the lawn beautiful and manageable. In addition, he uses a smaller mower to get to areas that are tight (as between my tree line and fence). He also cut down and cleared a path through the woods to a wild spot behind my yards, then mowed it. I saw him bumping like a boat in a storm because the land was so uneven. He had to change the blades after that initial trim. From here on, he will keep that space roughly mowed for me and my dogs so we can enjoy the wilder part of our property. COST As I've mentioned, Jesse's prices are very reasonable; plus, when how much time and effort he spent, I was really impressed. I will continue working with Jesse and his team from here on for all my yard needs. I am hoping he can help me with lawn pest control as well and tree trimming as well.

I regret hiring them to build a screened in porch…read more The quality of work is poor. Parts of the construction are failing less than two years after construction. The roof already leaks and they say they'll try to fix it if we sign a new contract with them. They say it's ice dams but cannot explain why the leaks occurred when there was neither ice nor snow near the seam they say is leaking. The exterior door repeatedly sagged and could not be opened. They came out to fix the door this summer (after many phone calls over a period of months) and nailed a big plywood board over the screen door to strengthen it - that's the permanent solution. The current door and frame are still both visibly crooked. It looks completely unprofessional and we feel like we're going to need to hire another professional to have the door reframed and replaced. The porch was not built according to the original agreement. We paid for helical screw pilings, but Miller Construction switched to cheaper concrete pilings without any notification, did not offer a refund for the difference in cost, and would not talk to us during construction to discuss the situation despite repeated requests. We paid for insulation throughout the addition, but the building was not framed to allow space for insulation in many sections of the room, so we have an addition that is only partially insulated. The communication with Miller Construction has always been poor. We've had multiple promises to call or come out to look at the various issues, but the promises are rarely kept. For the first few months after contracting with us, communication was so lacking we seriously questioned whether the company had run off with the initial payment. They hadn't, but they didn't reach out to us until months later when a crew showed up at the house unannounced. I wouldn't hire them again.
