I did a lot of research to find the right person for the job when I had the unusual request for a mini split stand attached to our RV. I was very impressed with all of the pictures on the Walker Welding website of all of the fine work that Jerry has done. From my first phone call to Jerry, I knew he was the right person for the job. He would always answer my call or text and if he wasn't available when I called he would always get back to me in a timely manner. Other welders that I had spoken with just wanted to quote me a price, but Jerry wanted to come out and meet with me to see the RV and determine what was best. I had a wonderful experience with Jerry and his lovely wife, Yolanda! I needed to have my back patio rail and gate repaired, so I called him and he came by that day(Thursday) to give me an estimate. They live just down the street, so of course they want customers who are neighbors to be satisfied. Like many here in Central TX the frigid weather created new problems to address. My pool heater froze and the copper water lines split. I talked to several pool companies. They all said I needed to just buy a new heater ($3,000) but they didn't know when they could get to me. Fortunately I heard about Walker Welding. I pulled the heat exchanger out of the heater (not really that difficult), brought it to Jerry Walker and he welded it up for me. I reinstalled the part and everything has been running as good as new! For a few bucks and a few hours I am back in business. Jerry is an accomplished welder...over 30 years in his trade. I had Jerry replace the bunk supports on my boat trailer. He also fixed a fender that had been damaged and replaced the wooden bunks on the boat trailer. Jerry did a very professional job...the trailer looks almost new even though it is 16 years old. I thought it would take him a week or two to complete but it was finished and ready to be picked up in four days. Other places that gave me quotes couldn't even look at the trailer for three weeks. Jerry and Yolanda at Walker Welding are very personable and were great to work with when I needed a trailer hitch for my ZTR mower. They took my design idea, significantly improved on it and welded/fabricated a sturdy hitch that met my needs and looked liked a factory installed hitch on the mower. Jerry was quick to pick up and take on our not so usual request - repairing weak weld joints on our rebounder which were failing. Our kids had gone just a few days without it and didn't know where else to get their energy out. 10-12-18 Two of the cast iron grates on our stove had cracked and a third was broken in two. I did a bit of research and knew welding cast iron can be difficult. I also had a rough idea of the cost. By the time Jerry got done, I had trouble finding where any of the damage was. Jerry doesn't do his work for free but his price was fair and within the ballpark.
