I had to bring my older Toro self-propelled mower in for service in 2020 for replacement of the kill switch and have the blade sharpened. Service was done in a timely matter and reasonably priced. I just returned in 7/2023 when the mower quit running. They performed the necessary services to get it back running and, and in addition, found a broken drive spring. I was advised 7-10 days at drop off and got it back in 5. They did call and leave a message about the spring and called back when it was ready for pickup. read more

I called October 11, 2022 to have a snow thrower picked up, repaired and serviced. I was told I'd be put on their list and contacted when they would be out to pick up the machine . After 4 weeks and having heard nothing , I called back to inquire . I was told that they were busy and did not have room to keep machines there and was told that I had not been forgotten about . After a couple more weeks of hearing nothing I had another company pick up the machine, service it and drop it back off. I am still waiting for their call but I wasn't forgotten???? I decided to write this review after 3 years ago I went to have my Ariens mower repaired and I was told that it would cost about $175 to have the drive rebuilt. I asked if they would accept the mower for a trade in and they offered me $10. I didn't trust their assessment so I travelled to another Ariens dealer further from my house in Lancaster county just to get a second opinion. We'll guess what, they told me that it would cost about $80 for a normal tune up and drive adjustment and if I wanted to, they offered a $100 trade in for a new model. I used Walker's for years for my mower repairs and even purchased a mower from them some time ago. However, It appears that over the past 5 years they've become very independent and feel that they have a lock on the local mower repair business and certainly not trustworthy in their dealings with customers. read more

I called an inquired about an oil change for my lawn mower. I was told that it would cost $120. I was a bit surprised but it was further explained that this package deal included blade sharpening, changing the air filter, spark plug, etc. I was told that they don't just do oil changes. I have also been having a problem with my self-propelled mower not releasing the wheels when the handle is released. I was told that they would check that and it was included in the price. My mower has never been fully serviced so I decided to do it. When I dropped it off, I confirmed the $120 price for service and that the issue with the self-propelled mechanism would be checked as well in that deal. When I went to pick it up, my bill was $145. I inquired about the price difference and they said that they don't even have a $120 deal and have no idea where I got that information. They explained that the price was all based on parts and labor. I then asked if I would have been able to have an oil change since they base prices on parts and labor. I was told YES!!! I was in complete shock. I told them that all I really wanted was an oil change and would not have had any of the other services performed if the information would have been presented accurately. When I asked about the problem with my self-propelled release not working, they seemed a bit confused. He did check it there on the spot, but who knows if any work was done in the shop. Overall, I thought they were very unprofessional. I did not misunderstand the information that was presented to me regarding price and services. I am not sure why I was told the $120 price on two separate occasions or why they continued to debate it with me. I will not be going back to them for further business and would not recommend it to others. read more
