The technician put in the earrings, so I never actually held them or saw them. After five days my ears started itching and feeling ugly. When I took out the two earrings, I found that the backs (and the part that actually goes into your ear) are titanium to which I have a sensitivity. $500 for two small earrings and they won't give me a refund or give me the gold backs I asked for. I looked into Alchemist based on the fact they have solid, high quality jewelry and good reviews. Aileen's track record looks legitimate so I decided to take the dive. My husband running a half marathon brought us to Bismarck, and I thought it was ideal timing to go get my piercings while he decompressed form the race. They will take appointments but since it was 10 AM, I figured the wait for a walk-in wouldn't take long. I was promptly greeted by a nice fellow at the counter and soon met Aileen. She was quick to tell me what would or wouldn't work from my options. She was so professional, yet, engaging and funny. I filled out my paperwork and shuffled to her backroom. I got the spots for the earrings traced on my ears -- perfect placement and exactly what i was going for. After laying down, Aileen kept me relaxed and slipped the earrings in. Yes, it hurt -- but it's a piercing, guys, so that's expected of course! I have zero complaints about my experience and may return if i have a tattoo in my near future.
