Barbara bought two pairs of walking shoes. Super comfortable, well made and really whacky looking. Woven material of many colors. Looks like party confetti on her feet. Store has other items in addition to the sizable inventory of shoes. Hats, tee shirts, sunglasses. The store is crammed full of stuff. If you decide to go hiking the rigorous Na Pali coast trail but left your boots at home, this store is the best place to buy a pair. They stock Merrill's, Hoka, Timberline. Employee was not the most cheerful person, yet helpful. read more

Unusual for this shop. We walked in and the clerk was at the counter talking to her friends in French. Not a hello, may I help you, eye contact, or even a wave. We've been visiting the shop for 25 years, and never had this experience. Hopefully the owner adresses this so that the shop remains a fixture in Princeville. read more

Absolutely ridiculous service & tried to charge me more than stated!! Total rip off - DON'T GO HERE unless you want to be be lied to & stolen from or at the very least taken advantage of!!!! My son vomited on his clothes so we had to pull over and they had 1 pair of shorts for him without a tag. She asked me to come back which I told her I couldn't. My son vomited on his shorts I needed something now. I asked her if she could charge my for something comparable & she said she can charge me $85 which I said fine. In addition I had a pair of shoes. Then instead of trying to charge me the $85 she pulls out a tag for $135 and tries to charge me that for the shorts instead of the agreed price. I pointed out she told me $85 and then she gave no explanation just said she needed to charge me $135 now. I am not typically a person to haggle over price which is why I didn't argue over a pair of $85 5T Shorts but she was taking advantage of me & my honesty over the situation by trying to charge me $135 instead of the agreed upon $85. Still in utter shock & I hope they fire this woman or they will go out of business soon. read more

My dog ate my shoelaces. I had no good backup pair for a kayak and hiking trip. The lovely young woman working there helped me find the perfect pair, Merrell. Then I found another pair and a hat. They also have an amazing selection of flip flops and jewelry. She was sweet, helpful and wished me luck with my dog:) read more

Buyer BEWARE. We purchased shoes that needed returned. This store has a policy only written on the receipt after the transaction that they do no accept returns and exchange only. I was in a hurry so I went straight for the shoes I spotted at the window. I didn't even notice the guy behind the counter, but he hollered out to greet me. I needed help getting the right sizes for my 2 boys and the husband, and he was very efficient about it. Two other families came and everyone wanted something. All in all, he was juggling the needs of about 10 people, and I have to say he did a good job! Even better, the shoes were not any pricier than at other stores, and the shoe selection was amazing. I bought 3 pairs that day, but made a mental note to return for more on our next visit to Kauai:) read more

Pleasant service, wide selection. I found the perfect pair of sandals after searching several places, but they didn't have my size. I really appreciated that the salesman didn't try to sell me on the wrong size. In fact, he talked me out of getting the size up, which would have been bad for my arch. They really went above and beyond to help us get these sandals in time for our hike. The staff were kind and professional. I am giving this place a review. Not only that- but an AMAZING one at that! I guess I am slightly flip flop obsessed, but the selection here is the best I have ever seen. Olekai's, Reefs, Sanuk's and countless others. I am not a small person so I swear by Olekai's and reefs. I bought a pair each and was assisted by someone very knowledgable and helpful. It was a great experience and I am so glad I stopped in here. They literally made my stay on Kaua'i SO much more enjoyable with good flip flops to wear. Friendly people, and a nice little stop. Needed a hat, and they had all kinds ranging from $25 to $250. Found one I liked in my size, rest is history. Now my head well have a little shade in the sun. It should be called "Walking with a Stick up your Ass". Snooty person working the register, I could tell I wasn't her element of people..... BUT I was a paying customer so that should have been enough. I found a sweet pair of sandals priced at $99.00. Kinda pricey but what the hey, I'm on vacation. The usual ski sled size I wear was a bit bigger than normal so I asked for a smaller size. ...... crickets. I waited 15 minutes patiently while she waited on three other customers and once finished with said three customers. ..... Still crickets. I walked right in front of her as I left. ... Not a peep. I swiftly went on Amazon and purchased the same item for $81.00. Free shipping, free returns. I always give people the benefit of the doubt but this was clearly the snub of all snubs. Very professional staff, kind and helpful. Let us look for a long time ... They have well made shoes and good brands. A little pricey but not horrible, they have to survive on the island too! If you want cheap flip flops or water shoes go to the market food land next store. But if you need keen or teva etc check this place out, great selection! read more

Great shop with amazing selection. I love good quality shoes and was very happy to find brands like Mephisto, Merrell, Keen and Naot. New owners have the store now so I dont think the reviews about the stick up the ass is still valuable (cant imagine being about the awesome people I met there!) The family that owns it is nice, down to earth and soooo funny. They have a cute frenchie and we played with him while shopping. read more

My husband and I walked in last week and we were not greeted by the female clerk. We were the only ones in the store, it had just opened. We looked around and my husband wanted to purchase some shoes. The clerk proceeded to be on her phone talking about all the inventory she has to unpack and never even acknowledged us after she finally hung up the phone. Worst customer service of my life ! I walked in there was about 8 people in the store and no sales associate? Where was she? She comes out of the back area about 10 minutes later and sits down at the computer doesn't even acknowledge anyone in the store. I went to the register with 5 pairs in my hand and I intended on buying all 5 I'm a very wealthy woman! She gave me only 2 pairs to start with then when I asked for my other three she asked if she could put any back I said no after that moment she watched me like a hawk I felt very upset I did put one pair back because it bother my feet. I asked her if she received commission and she said yes (at this point I wasn't gonna buy anything) I'm not giving her any of my money with that poor customer service! I asked her when the owner would be in and she said the owner doesn't live here and that she is the manager. Good grief! Who would allow you to manage there store! In the amount of time u took getting my shoes and when she was on the phone giggling in the back for 5 minutes when you have a store filled with customers I could have stole all the shoes I was trying on. Or anyone could have in that case. I bought one pair and it was $120 I needed it for dinner that night. I don't recommend this place your better off going to Payless shoes the service is better. The shoes I got are great but if I had another option in princeville to buy shoes it wouldn't have been there. I give this a bad review ! read more
