Super small parking lot, super small place. Walls aren't as tall nor are they plentiful, but it's super homey and the staff is super helpful and available. Wish the routes were clearer/knew where the finish lines "should be."

I've been frequenting WC since August and am still loving it. The staff is laid back and personable and the routes are definitely challenging enough to keep me interested. On Friday nights they have a student special with discounted prices and are open later than most nights. It usually isn't too crowded on Fridays, so it's a great time to get some practice in without having to wait too long to use the route you want. Disclaimer for beginners: The bouldering routes - even those marked as VEs and VBs (very easy and very basic, respectively) - can be tough for beginners, but there's a pretty good amount of skill-level variety on the top rope walls. I've heard this place referred to as a "climbers' climbing gym" - meaning that the routes are set to a difficulty level that caters to those "real" Spiderman-esque climbers who go on trips every weekend and compete and such. I'd have to agree with this assertion, but don't let it discourage you from checking out the gym for yourself. I'm certainly not a pro climber and I've always enjoyed myself.

Very fun place. I took my niece and we are beginners and had a splendid time. Minus the Girl Scouts there on that one Sunday lol.

It was giving "looking for the outdoor boulder" vibes. So here's my notes for anyone that will likely need them. PARKING: Trust your GPS to guide you to the entrance of the parking garage. The entrance and exit are two separate doors, so do not think you can enter and/or exit through both of them. The garage is for the 715 Peachtree building and CRG has a sign on the garage that lets you know to park there. Once you pull a ticket and get inside the garage, park anywhere. Don't forget to take your ticket with you to validate inside the gym! GYM ACCESS: Once you park, get to the same level that you entered the garage. Follow the garage signs to enter the 715 Peachtree building. Do not be alarmed if all the lights are off. Continue down the long hallway until you see the elevators on your right. If you hit the coffee shop, you've gone too far. Go DOWN on the elevator to LL. Once you exit the elevator, you'll see the gym there. General Notes: I would advise budgeting at least 10 minutes to get out of the building and garage. Keep this in mind since parking is only validated for 2 hours! Exiting is also a bit of a doozy, but ultimately just follow the garage signs. If possible, CRG should put up additional signage within the 715 building to direct people. I felt like there was no way I would've known to go down on the elevator a floor without the advice of others. The gym itself is solid - it's mostly inclined walls and a few slabs. One interesting area that I've never seen is one of the walls is set at a greater than 90 degree angle, and is quite scary since it relies a lot on feet. Great wall to train on. I appreciated how much cleaner this gym is compared to the Chamblee locations.

Didn't know they set new routes on Tuesdays so it was packed when I went on a Tuesday night. Only got a few climbs in before leaving. Tried again Wednesday morning, and was able to do more. It is pretty small, but enough to get a workout in. Definitely bring your own water, no vending machines or store to buy some. Did spy a water fountain towards the back of the building, but one of the traditional ones.

The new facility is sparkling and definitely worth visiting if you haven't seen it yet and becoming a member if you swim work out regularly. We paid about $250 for the family to join for the year and the bonus is that it gives the whole family access to all Atlanta public pools. The building is very open, bright (lots of natural light come in through the glass), and beautifully built. While ATL isn't the Northeast, winter is still somewhat more of a period of hibernation for a lot of people and the opening of this center provides a very nice public option for continuing to be active. It seems like they offer a wide variety of classes and activities for kids. While I can't speak to the basketball gym, workout facilities, and indoor running track on the second floor, the pool is great. It's helped our toddler develop an appreciation for the water and we haven't even tried their infant swim program yet. Some highlights of the pool are that the water is very warm, they have a beach front walk-in, a separate family changing room, a variety of aquatic toys for kids to enjoy, and a few fun sprinkler type poles in the pool. For parents looking to entertain their kids this could be a great drop-in option too at just $5 a visit I believe. My only complaints are 1) We've waited months to get our membership cards and the machine that prints them is always down or unavailable for some reason. This is obviously not such a big deal but 2) As this "undiscovered" gem is no longer so undiscovered, we've seen more and more swimmers come to the pool and it can be difficult to find a free lane to swim in now (especially around peak hours weeknights after work). This may just be what happens as you become a victim of your own success. The pool is huge but it's unfortunate that the way they built it the lanes cannot be expanded or added easily because the free swim section has a giant physical barrier from the lanes part.

There is paid parking on campus, and since it was the summer, there was not an issue finding any. We entered through the main entrance and there were students working out on the main floor that you could see and the facility felt updated and modern, with high ceilings. It was exciting to say that we swam in the same pool used for the Olympics in 1996. They proudly and rightfully display that fact for everyone to see. The pool is huge with bleachers (with real seats, not a bench) on one side. The pool was huge of course and was split in half due to the shorter lengths that my kids were swimming. The views were great from the seats no matter where you were and the diving end was also clearly visible. Hope to be back!
