Very cute little book store! the inside is very decorated and there are lots of books to choose from. The worker I encountered this afternoon was a very friendly woman. There is also a dog inside and he loves to show off his toys and receive pets! I overheard a conversation going on between a customer and the owner/worker where they mentioned that there is a book club where they bring food/snacks to it, which sounded pretty neat. Really great book shop tucked away but a gem. We came by to browse and found a really nice older book and map. The shop has a lot of older novels and local ones too. Great variety of genres from travel to fiction and westerns, nature and more. The lady at the counter was also nice and store even had an adorable mascot! read more

If you are book lover this is a great shop. The owners were amazing. Lots of older books to choose from. Great vide with small secrete corners to just sit and read or look through the shelves. Not a lot of newer books but plenty of loved books. A must see if in the Downtown Main Street area of Waynesville. I got 3 books and some awesome bookmarks that were very unique. read more

Sweet bookstore with diverse inventory and a frequently replenished $1 book shelf. This is a used bookstore with a well-curated and well-organized selection of inventory. You'll also find stickers and buttons at the register. We were greeted at the door, and cheerily guided to the sections we were seeking. The shop is on the lower level of a building on a hill so for flat access enter at the street access; you can also walk down a passageway from the main Waynesville drag if you are ok with a slope. I accidentally found myself at this spot and was instantly charmed. I found this spot while wandering back to my car after eating in downtown Waynesville, when I saw a sign that said "BOOKS" with an arrow. Like...if someone wanted to kidnap me...a sign that said "Books and free wine this way"....would get me in a heartbeat... One street off the main drag, and nestled in a cozy lower level of a building, it is exactly what I want a second-hand bookstore to be. Dark, a minor semblance of organization, twisty turns and books in every nook and cranny, a local artisan kvetching and gossiping in an aisle and leaving me to my own devices. I spent a good amount of time browsing and poking around, but ended up not finding anything I was really interested in. I would be back here, and often, if I lived in the area. We really hate to see this book store move from here . It's a small heaven on earth and the owners are very nice and accommodating. Husband is an avid reader and trades books at least twice a month. I enjoy the NC section where you can read about the history of the Blue Ridge Mountains and pretty much any thing else about the state. Wherever they move we will follow, but sure will miss the ambiance of the little shop. read more

They were not easy to find. They are behind the main drag, down a hill and around a corner. Once you do find them, they are floor-to-ceiling packed with all sorts of things. And organized enough to find the kind of books that interest you. read more

Love coming here to get books. Such a large selection of books it's not even funny. Everybody is nice and will help you with finding a certain book. There is also plenty of local stuff they sell too, which is amazing. read more

Adorable, well-stocked second-hand bookstore on Wall Street! You can sell/trade books with the owner, who is always happy to have patrons!

This used bookstore is stacked wall-to-wall and 6 feet tall with gently-used books - of all genres that I've ever looked for - I get the biggest kick out of exploring this place. I enjoy just wandering through the stacks searching out gems I didn't know I was looking for. Prices are incredibly reasonable, they take trade-ins, and the proprietors are friendly and knowledgeable. There's even a children's book section! Worth the time to check it out... read more

no stars if had negative star rating they would receive the lady there was rude unprofessional and rude, and yes so bad where I got rude back. took in 6 fairly good books picked 4 out she was rushing me saying was a sign on door saying be back in 15 but if I hurried could do no sooner did I reach section she was hollering she had to go[first clue of rudeness] just grabbed the 4 books of authors I knew went to front she tells me I had about 10 dollars worth and owed her 8 dollars thought that expensive but she said come back we figure out anything later so paid 8 and some change took boy to couple appointments went back took 2 books back explained I didn't like books when in first person gave them back was informed I owed her 2;12 more paid and told her that was the most ridiculous thing I got 2 used books traded 6 used books and paid 10 dollar difference told her could of kept my books and bought 2 new and the claws came out, I will never go back never recommend and in fact tell all I know never to trade there the worst business attitude and business practice I have ever encountered in 50 years of shopping and trading all over globe read more
