It was beautifully decorated, the place is like new, clean and roomy. The sitting area up front is great for quieter conversations, the kitchen has what you need, the tables, chairs, linens are perfect for a medium size party or wedding or banquet. It's easy to get to and because everyone liked it so much, we are renting it again for our next summer party and next Christmas party! And the owner is very communicative and a delight to work with!

Interesting surprise when we checked in was a wine/beer/pop and snack reception in the lobby. The host said it was something they did on Tuesday and Wednesday only from 4-8p. Nice bonus. The room was clean and spacious. I had three minor issues with the room. One, the chain was missing from the inner of two window shades (the other one was the black-out shade) which meant to couldn't be opened or closed. Two, the toilet had a samll leak between the tank and bowl which meant to kept cycling (refilling) at odd intervals during the night. Finally, it appears that HIE has stopped putting clocks in the room. All relatively minor issues but enough that they don's rate a 4th star.

Parking was not a problem now that the parking lot across the street was finished. The menu that Taylor suggested was perfect. We had desserts and fruit along with cheeses etc. the carrot cake was to die for. Plenty of seating and very accessible even for all guests. This worked well for our family since some of my siblings are out of town. The only thing we brought with us were flowers for the tables. No clean up! We were able to stream music of our choice on their equipment. The venue was clean and was decorated great! My wife and myself have attended many weddings both in town and out of town at some very special places. I can tell you this space was among the best. There is a private museum inside with artifacts from every content on the world. The founders of the space traveled the world in the 40's -60's. Wanting to be considerate of the staff, I called ahead to see if we could place an order in advance without causing them to stay open longer than necessary. Alecia, the restaurant manager, handled the call with both professionalism and thoughtful attention. After asking about our expected arrival time, she explained that she would time the preparation of the order so the food would be served hot and at its best quality when we arrived. She also informed us that Zack in the bar would assist us since the bar remained open later. Her approach reflected a clear commitment to both customer service and the integrity of their dining experience. Upon arrival, everything was exactly as described. Alecia ensured our order was ready and confirmed that Zack would take care of us going forward. Both Alecia and Zack were courteous, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout the interaction. Their efforts stood out in a time when exceptional service can feel uncommon.
