I hope our review helps because as it turns out we are not the only family that Lone Star Painters has either done poor work for and/or taken money from. The paint team showed up late, left early, used the wrong color paint, did not prep our home properly and did a nightmare of a job painting. The way they tried to cut in the paint on our walls made no sense, they would start in one spot then stop and start in another. Leaving incomplete sections here and there. We are glad we stopped the work when we did but we are now in the process of taking legal action for our money back as the owner is refusing to reimburse a portion of our deposit. They only actually worked one day for maybe four or five hours but he's trying to charge us for two days. Then he explained that he had to charge us for the paint but failed to explain why he kept all the paint that he's charging us for. It's a shame because he came across as a nice genuine person but after requesting him to stop the work he has been untruthful and aggressive with his emails. Don't use this company, there are other companies that will paint your home without taking a penny till the job is complete and you are happy with their work! Save yourself the nightmare and headache and reach out to us if you have questions.

Kevin McGrath and his entire team did an excellent job from beginning to end. He responded to my initial request for a quote within an hour and set an appointment and showed up on time. He had a quote back to me within hours. I requested quotes from five other builders, one never called me back one schedule appointment but never showed and three came out to do a walk over to provide a quote. One quote was more expensive by a third the other was competitive but took three days to provide me the pricing after I had to request two additional times and one to this day still hasn't provided a quote, I guess there is such a thing as having too much business. The competitive bid and the absolute excellence in customer service Kevin showed is the reason I went with him. The results I got in my product is second to none. My covered patio turned out better than I could have a dreamed. On time and on budget!

After our initial review, Steve (the owner) immediately called to make things right. He offered to come out immediately with his team to fix the issue free of charge. Steve came out early the next morning and quickly got us up and running. While we had a negative prior experience with Penco, the fact that Steve was wiling to stand behind his work / company name and work to make sure we were happy was so important! After this experience, we would definitely be willing to give Penco the benefit of the doubt and assume that our prior bad experience was just a one-off! Thanks Steve and team for responding quickly.
