We just purchased a home that was covered in wallpaper that must have been up for about 40+ years. We had contractors trying to charge us insane amounts to remove it and even had someone suggest that we had to rip out all of the walls and get new ones because the wallpaper removal would be too timely and labor intensive. We reached out to the three companies on yelp that specifically specialize in wallpaper removal. Left a message for one company and the owner called me back and left me a quote over the phone. She couldn't be bothered coming to my home and giving me an accurate quote. Nope! The other company came out sent me a quote and didn't follow-up. Next! The poor customer service that I received out of the gate from the other companies didn't really matter because as soon as I spoke to Steve I knew he was the one. Super professional and friendly. Do not ever hesitate to remove old wallpaper, especially using this service! I was initially told by a painter to just paint over the old wallpaper, and every instinct in my body told me not to do this. When I talked to Steve, he said I was absolutely right! When I took the old paper off, I discovered that all the old wallboard was, moldy around some of the living room windows. It's not an inexpensive endeavor, but an absolute must be done endeavor! Got a new house with a beautiful master bathroom - except it was covered in a horrific wallpaper, including the ceilings! Found WRS on Yelp, started a conversation with Steve over the weekend and scheduled him to come on a Tuesday morning. He was able to give me an estimate just by looking at the 3d walkthrough on Zillow, which was a great timesaver. Estimate was very fair (better than the others I got by a fair amount) and he said they could get it done in about 6 hours. We communicated about various complications (no hot water at the house currently either) and he was always very responsive. He gave me updates today as they finished their earlier job, and they showed up right on time. Wow!! Steve is great! I live in a house built in the 20's that has been renovated a number of times, leaving me with both the good and bad choices of the previous owners. When I began removing the wallpaper myself it was obvious someone had made some bad choices and if I tried to remove the whole thing myself it would take forever and I might damage the wall. Steve quoted me a price range which sounded great and we set a date. He called early and was eager to get my job done. He confirmed that the wall was messed up and said I'd probably need more work, but he was prepared to do his best.
