But what truly made my experience exceptional was the customer service I received from Sheila. I was in dire need of two tires. I had gone to nearly every used tire shop in Lima, as well as several auto wrecking places, trying to find what I needed. Finally, one of those places suggested that I check with Kenny's Auto Parts. I called, and a lady named Sheila answered the phone. She told me she had three tires in the size I needed, but unfortunately, they were all mismatched. I went there intending to purchase two of them, but after thinking about it, I decided I really did not want mismatched tires. So I thanked her and decided to leave. Now, let me tell you about Sheila... Sheila is not the kind of person who simply comes to work, puts in her hours, and collects a paycheck. She genuinely cares about helping people. I think she could see how disappointed and distraught I was. I had already searched all over Lima, and at that point, I really didn't know what I was going to do next. I was just about to pull out when Sheila came back outside and said, "Hold on just a minute. Let me look one more place." She could have simply let me leave. She had already done what was expected of her. But instead, she took it upon herself to search again. And lo and behold, after doing some more searching, Sheila came back and told me she had found THREE MATCHING TIRES! I was absolutely ecstatic! THAT is what I call exceptional customer service! There is a big difference between simply doing your job and genuinely caring about the person standing in front of you. Sheila went that extra mile for me when she didn't have to, and that meant more to me than she probably realizes. I purchased two of the matching tires that day, and I was so pleased with them--and with the wonderful service I received--that I went back the very next day and purchased the third matching tire. I have never gone to a business where someone worked so hard to help me find a matching set of tires. Sheila's patience, persistence, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond turned what had been a very stressful and frustrating situation into a wonderful experience. I just pulled in to get the oil changed and get the some air in the tires. But the operator look at…read morea little smoke coming out from under the hood and told me to pull out because the smoke could go down into the pit and harm his worker. So I knew emediatly that this man was no mechanice because he didn't know basic physics of smoke and he would not listen to his customer's explaination that the car just sat in the barn for 9 months. It was just a little dust and debris from sitting no fire just a little smoke from a hot exhaust manifold. Anyhow I will never go back so they just lost my next 66 oil changes by being stupid. I only have ~22 years left and 3 cars. Good luck to the owner!
