This is one of the older Walmart locations and not a Supercenter. We found everything we needed nonetheless. The employees are very friendly and helpful. So happy I found this Walmart while I was on the road heading to California. This Columbus, TX, Walmart is sweet and petite. I did not need rollerskates to get through a gigantic mega store. It had something for everyone and had everything that I needed. read more

This review is written solely as a traveler, and not as someone who lives in the area and needs to actually shop here. We have stopped at this Walmart a few times in the last six months or so, usually in need of a Coke, Sour Patch Kids, and/or a 5-Hour Energy Drink as we drive from Houston to Austin when we can't quite make it to Ellinger. This is one of the smallest Walmarts I have ever been to, and I've been to some small-town, teeny tiny Walmarts. However, none of the Walmarts I have been to have employees who are as friendly and helpful as this one. Every employee I have encountered is eager to help, and they do it with a smile. They have a plethora of movie theatre candies, sodas, and iced coffees. Though I'm not a fan of Walmart in general, this is indeed a great place to make a pitstop for a bathroom break and some snacks. read more

Tiniest little Walmart we have ever been in. Did our produce shopping next door, then came over here to buy toilet paper, paper towels and a few other items. Was very surprised to see how limited this location was. Really no grocery items. As for the paper staples we came to get, they only carry the large economnby sized packs. We were looking for the 4 packs of things not twelve. So this location is more of a general store than a grocery. read more

Very small. Defiantly needs an upgrade. You can get some items here more home and clothes than food. Food wise there is a small section of items such as sandwich meats, some frozen, can goods, snacks, and little items like thag but thankfully there is an H-E-B next door for produce and meats. The H-E-B isn't any bigger. Neither have a meat market, deli, or bakery. One of these stores need to be turned into a superstore, so you dont have to go between both when shopping. read more

I love this Walmart... but Man the lady in the jewelry dept needs to find another job... she acted like she didn't wanna help me... I had to ask her to come to counter ... she was right behind me and saw me at counter ... then said she couldn't put a battery in my watch yes I'll be back but not for jewelry!!! read more

Went to this Walmart 4 days in a row to buy a shotgun. Each time I was told "the register in sporting goods is broke" . One clerk seemed to be glad about it. Went to La Grange and had no problem. They actually like customers there. read more

It is one of the original Wal-Mart locations. Not much in groceries but there is an HEB right beside it. Prices are ok but variety is lacking. Great stop for travelers because there are several restaurants within walking distance. read more

For over 5 years we have had a huge event called the Liz Cook Trail Ride in Columbus County and with us bringing over 5,000 people in for three days it gets busy!!!
