And since it's no longer "everything for a dollar," you're some times unsure how much you'll have to pay. Also, aisles are absurdly long. But that's not really something they can fix. The bad: almost always a line-up at the cash. So if you're looking to just dash in, grab a cheap snack, you may have to wait. The fantastic: I haven't checked recently but they typically have Reese's Peanut Butter Bars. Not cups but a full-on bar. It's a rare find and they usually have them.

The outlet line is not quite up to the same standard as the regular retail line Overall I was very pleased with my shopping experience. Don't go in expecting to be greeted immediately at the door and assisted throughout your entire shopping experience as you are at the BR flagship stores because it's not going to happen- it is an outlet after all. The quality of the outlet line is slightly lower than the flagship line, but still on par with Gap or better. I was able to put together several outfits in under 30 minutes and left feeling as though my time there had been well spent.

The good news is that their prices are actually very reasonable for the most part. And I walked in right when they were having tons of deals! The sad part was, none of the clothes I wanted fit right or looked right on me. There were some interesting jackets but I wasn't in a "jacket buying" mood. Now onto the staff. When I first walked in, I couldn't find them. So I looked around and looked around some more and still couldn't find any. I shrugged, thought about how security seems pretty relaxed, then went over to the changing room to try on some of the clothes I would eventually find out didn't fit me right. I did then find staff, but they simply gave me a number and told me where I could go to try on the clothes. They weren't rude and had a pleasant sounding voice. But here is a list of what they didn't say or ask: 1. Can I help you with anything? 2. How did that one fit? 3. Could I get you another one in a different size? 4. How about orange as a color? I never found any staff who were at all interested in me as a customer. I looked around just to check and see if someone else was having better luck but no one was. When I walked by staff they were talking and coordinating with each other. But they simply acted as if there were no customer's in the store. H&M does have some nice products and even though the clothes didn't fit me perfectly, they will fit someone. So they deserve three stars for having a good variety of clothing and having deals from time to time. But two stars are missing because customer service was down right nonexistent aside from someone handing me a number and letting me know where I can get changed.

Even though the women's inventory probably triples what is available for guys, I found that the selection and style was much cooler than the girls. The dressier section of the women's clothes are a little to flashy for my taste, I did pick up a nice grey cardigan which I love because it's not a typical v-neck, and instead it buttons all the way up. Prices vary, some of the more casual clothes are pretty cheap, but the formal selection can be really pricey. This is still a fairly new store so I've found that their sales have been few and far between. Hot Hint: I found a really cool (and durable!) umbrella on sale here. Keep and eye on the accessories and you can find some great deals.

But after being in the store, spending about 20 minutes filling my cart, a woman comes rushing up to me, yelling, "ma'am, ma'am! You can't be in here without a mask or a shield!" I told her I have a medical exemption, and my husband tried to tell her that the guidelines allow for exemptions, offering to show her on his phone, but she was having no part of it. She kicked us out, making us leave our cart full in the isle. Disgusting customer service, discriminatory behavior, making me feel like I was some type of lesser person, and my money was no good there, due to a medical condition I have no control over. Horrific treatment.

I dare you to walk into a dollar store and not walk out with something you didn't know you needed. Like that hose nozzle for the backyard garden, or that broom for the garage. Or that cute dog statuette for the office. I'm happy this one opened, as it's in spitting promiximity of my weekly shop stop, so I can often stop in to pick up my monthly supply of plastic cutlery or get that Christmas collar for Murphy that just can't wait while I'm out getting my groceries. It has a really good selection of household items, party supplies. candy and food for the junk basket at home, and seasonal items on the cheap. I often go here to re-stock my Party Kit (a bag of steamers, balloons, and hats for whipping out for co-workers' or friends' birthdays at the last minute). They also have a good selection of chips and chocolate bars you can't always find at the grocery store (nacho Bugles are my friday night kryptonite!) For the most part, staff has been efficient and the store is clean, and very early in stocking up for holidays and such. For instance, in mid-January's cold snap, they're busy stocking up their seasonal aisles with camping gear and pool toys. Perfect for that February pool party theme party?

This Walmart in Halifax, Nova Scotia is one very large supercenter! Made a quick stop here to buy…read moremy favorite Canadian snack! I just love Ketchup chips!! I can only find them in Canada. Hardly ever see them in the U.S. The place was packed with people during our Sunday visit. Surprisingly clean and organized despite the ton of people here. They had a lot of check out counters, and I believe they were all open with lines of customers. We chose to go to the Express Lane. There were about 30 people ahead of us, but I liked their set-up for the express lane. Customers lined up and would wait for a checkout register to become available. A screen would light up with the register number that is available, and a speaker would also announce the number as well. There were at least 8 checkout registers that were dedicated solely for the Express lane. We waited less than 5 minutes before it was our turn!! Very cool indeed!! Got to admit that I like this Walmart. Sorry, to all my Walmart hater friends out there!

I heart Envy. I heart it sooo much, you guys…read more I love the fashion here, I love the occasional sale item I score, I love the helpful employees, I just love Envy. This is a place that's slightly upscale, so you will be paying a higher price than you would at some of the other clothing boutiques in this mall. However, I believe that quality is worth a little extra now and then, so it's always my first stop at HaliShop. They carry all kind of great brands, but they no longer carry my guilty favourite, Juicy Couture. Sad face. Still, the rest is pretty awesome. I've gotten so many of my staple items at Envy, from my awesome squirrel dress to my formal winter coat. I do wish they would carry more accessories, however. High fives to the ladies who work here, as they're always willing to track down an item or check other stores if they don't have something. They're also totally honest with you if you ask them about an outfit you're trying on, which is so helpful when you're shopping solo, such as I usually do. Seriously, check it out the next time you feel like a splurge. It's easily one of my fave places in Halifax for clothing.

Envy's style closely mirrors what I wish my wardrobe looked like. Did I mention they have fantastic sales? Almost every time I'm in here there is a huge sale section happening for one reason or another... fall clearance, summer clearance ect. With every new season comes a new wave of sale seasons I can't wait to browse through. From casual to prom formal, you can bet you'll find something in here to fit with your style, and probably at a great price to boot!

Also I could try as many different brands if I needed to find the right ones. The Dr. Suggested a brand that I have used before, and they were comfortable immediately. The Dr was super nice, and friendly. He ordered my lenses for me , as well as another trial pair as the ones he had in office to try where a bit weaker than my prescription. The price was the same as ordering from those online places. I was very happy with my visit !

I make no secret of considering its maze of aisles my own personal hell on earth and I generally enter fight-or-flight mode as soon as I pull up in the parking lot. Still, yesterday I had the good fortune of having not one, not two, but THREE positive interactions with friendly, polite, and helpful staff! I could hardly believe it. Not an eye-roll, not a heavy sigh, not a dismissive point in a vague direction - I actually received real, live customer service. So, while Walmart may still not be my jam, I have to give credit where credit's due. The folks I talked to knew exactly where the obscure items I was looking for were hidden and actually walked me there instead of sending me on my way. Plus, I was rung through by someone who was genuinely nice and knew better than to hit me with a 'hon' or 'dear.' No complaints for once!
