Normally I hold this WM in high regard, but this morning's shenanigans really have reduced my opinion of it. I am an action figure collector and sometimes Walmart has exclusive toys you can only get on their site and/or in their stores. Their web site was sold out of the specific figures BUT they showed as available to order and pick up at this store so I put in orders for four toys total, two of each character. For your reference, one of them was the "Retro G1 Gears" in my attached pics. I drove almost 40 mins to get to this store (my local Walmart had nothing) and when I get to pick up, the people there were very busy but perfectly nice (which is why this is a 2 star review instead of 1). They brought out my items and I instantly knew they were the wrong ones (see "Studio Series" Bumblebee in my attached pic). The items I wanted were on bright, colorful cards with bubbles attached. The ones they brought me were in black boxes. The character names were not the same either. Concerned, I took them over to the aisle where the correct items should have been and of course, two of the four items I wanted were sold out. I wound up purchasing the two items I DID want and cancelling the online order. You don't need to know anything about action figures or collecting to have gotten this right. All you need to do is know how to use your eyes, look at an order and match up the item in the Walmart.com listing to what is one shelf. Don't want to do that? Use your handheld scanner and scan the SKU to make sure it matches. Clearly none of this was done. Whoever pulled my order just thought any old Transformer would do which is bizarre. If I ordered a $200 vacuum cleaner, would they just randomly pick say, a $100 one to give me? No. Customers should get what they ordered - full stop. I really used to like this Walmart but this kind of elementary screw up is really surprising. Clearly whoever pulled my order had little to no regard for customer service. Be warned. If you put in a pick up order, you may not get what you paid for. read more

Never go on weekends . It takes 20 mins to enter / park and another 20 mins to get out. It's in the same place as Costco and hair gets crowdedddddd .. As with all Walmarts , you get all basic stuff. I visited this Walmart when I had to return some items bought online and use their customer service at this place. The customer service agent that we got was decent but took a lot of time to get our refund processed. She kept on checking the item and then cross checked whether it had a return policy available (it did because we got the item within a few days and it stated online that it had return protection for up to 30 days) so that was a little baffling. Nonetheless, we got the item refunded. Once you're in a Walmart location you really can't just leave like that without checking what they have in store so that's what we did. We went in to check the produce section (which was utterly lacking here at the time), we checked the frozen section and everything in between for grocery hunting. One thing that I did notice is that they lack organic sections for their grocery products be it chicken or eggs or dairy. They do have a few but the options are far less then other stores. If you shop at this Walmart purely for groceries, you might want to visit another dedicated grocery store to get all your items from your checklist. This Walmart has all the COVID precautions in place with the mandatory mask on policy and social distancing. They have different sections such as electronics, house improvements and many other. Overall, this is a huge store with all the necessary things that you'd need available to you along with a decent grocery selection. read more

Very limited grocery section with a row of fresh items but mostly shelf food and nothing seems to be in stock in other sections in the store as half the shelves were discombobulated and disorganized. Very crowded upfront at the cashiers. And sharing a lot with Costco... Such parking crowds. Lots of cheap discounted items though, so hard to beat the prices on the generic items. Noticed some areas smaller now, and no fishing licenses sold here. read more

Do they offer many products? Yes. That's the only positive point. Things are always misplaced and prices are always mixed up (seemingly even the way they mark it on the boxes). It would definitely be helpful if they were to add price check machines all over the store (pointless if they continuously make mistakes when marking the boxes and packaging though). My family had recently purchased one of the baby monitors from them. The price on the shelf was around 40$ or 50$ but when it was time to pay, it was scanned and showed a price of $70+, displaying a completely different brand!! read more

i went into walmart on 2220 st route 27 in edison on friday sept 13 and made a purchase and asked for 100 dollars cash back the casheir hand me a 100 dollar bill that was totally countefeit. I returned to the store saturday sunday and monday to be told they can't give me my money back even though i had the receipt i was told to take the fake bill to a bank and they would replace it which the bank said is not true so i have to take a loss there was no reason for that or any store to be in possession of counterfeit money at all. Walmart selling smoke they have no clue about Tires I call headquarters about the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season 215/65R17 99V Tire. ( on the description they have a summer tire) Moreover, the picture is different from the one in the manufacture so the model ( I call on the 8th of Dec to confirm if the tires are all-season tires, I spoke to Alex she put me to wait but later she confirmed she said they are all-season tires). I purchased the tires online and I went to the manufactures website to look for the tires and they show up as summer tires. I call back on the 14th to the headquarter I spoke to a rep they told me "the same" then I request to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor Wendy (headquarters) said that they can not warranty the information on their website. She said that I have to call the tire center, I ask if she can call for me since she is a manager. She transfers the call to Mike in the tire center in Edison NJ. He said that they do not sell that type of tire, therefore, he had not to clue about it and he can only tell me what the website says about the tire. They are all-season tires but they can not warranty that until the tires get there and I have to go in google and look for the tires and the description. Summary, the customer service on headquarters doesn't know and can not warranty what their website sells or said also the Tire center can not warrant what the website says. I think at this point the customer service is obsolete so the tire center professional should be at their houses and Walmart webpage should hire people from amazon to teach them about website sales and the customer service and the tire center should request a training form Costco store and invest in a software that knows about tires. Tomorrow is my install day 15th and on the 16th we have a storm of 12 to 18 inches and I have to drive my family with those tires. If the Customer service from headquarters and the local rep from the tire center can not trust their website information on Walmart. How can a customer like me trust a misleading website or customer service that has no idea about what they selling or the tire center rep that has no clue about the product? Bummed because I'm a huge Walmart fan and have shopped here my whole life, but now I live in a city where I don't have Walmart and drove over an hour to one. None of the deals were marked correctly and I was incredibly overcharged at checkout. I was so excited to find some cheap overalls for $3....but then the tagged was marked as $11. When I checked out it was $17. I told the man at the checkout and he made me go look for another pair to show him another tag. He looked at the tag and still charged me full price. Hey Hey my awesome Thursday Adventurers! I normally come here for my daily items since this place seems to be the only clean and organized Walmart in the Tristate---except maybe the one out in Sparta, NJ. Though this past time I stopped by here they had the Customer Service/Returns closed with no explanation other than the General Manager on duty said to close it. This really isn't acceptable considering I'm driving at least a half hour than the five minutes to my local Walmart in Woodbridge. Yes this place is that nice. This Walmart employs many local young adults, mostly to stock shelves. There are people who say don't shop at Walmart (some of whom may be vacantly repeating a message), but from a micro perspective, they aren't that awful. At least they give the jobs to people from the community. The Target in East Harlem did that as well and it worked. You can see that people are comfortable there. They see their friends and neighbors, and it makes everyone happier and better off. It probably attracts people to the store, too. A couple of stars off, though, because I get the feeling that there's too much surveillance here. I swear I'm not doing anything wrong. But I just have reason to believe that there are people who pay a bit too much attention to who's who and use it for gossip reasons. So now I'm not going there any more, despite the convenience. I won't say that I'll absolutely never go. They do have just about everything you might need, and you can get it in a pinch at Wal-Mart. Also, sometimes you just need to get out for a walk. It's dark early now, so there aren't that many options. read more

Walmart online order and Edison Tire Center bad experience. I ordered 4 Tires online during 2023 Black Friday and had scheduled installation on Dec 16 at Edison Site but when I get there I was told that only 3 tires was delivered to the store and 1 is delayed. I was told to wait for the 4th Tire and to come back. I went back there today January 6 just to get an update as I never received a notification about the delayed order, and after waiting for so long in line I was told it wasn't delivered yet. I told the front desk associate that I would like to cancel the tires that was delivered but she told me that they cannot do that and advised me to call 1-800-walmart. My wife called the 1-800 and she was told to contact the Tire Center Dept. again to cancel the order but the Dept associate transferred her call to the customer service. It's very frustrating they couldnt point us to the right direction its very unacceptable Ive been waiting for a month and my old tires need to be replaced as soon as possible considering there will be snowfall this weekend. Ordering online should be convenient not a hassle, It wasted my time and fuel just to get to their store for nothing. I will never going back to their Tire Center again. read more

Beware- store is filthy has I've seen roaches in the bathroom. I usually have good experiences at Wal Mart and it's a fun place to go to kill time. I like their products and they have a spacious parking lot. However, I purchased Mr. Clean Magic Eraser at this store. When I opened them, there were roaches burrowed in the Magic Erasers. Gross! There were also roaches in the restrooms. I look forward to coming back to this store once they clean up their act, literally. read more

I would like to say that I am absolutely disgusted at the way that the "supervisory" staff in this store operate and speak to customers. I have had my own negative experiences in this location but figured I should Voice my distaste after not 1 but 2 infuriating experiences that my daughter had in the last 2 week period. I was on the phone with her both times as she was upset, frustrated and needed someone to calm her down. Both times at self checkout I heard and listened to the "supervisor" (2 different employees) yell at her and refuse to listen to a word she was saying. NOTE: my daughter is 17 years old and non-confrontational. On both occasions I was ready to hop in my car and drive there myself to crush the person responsible For the fury I felt. In the end of both situations another employee (not sure on the positions they hold) came over and rectified the "problem " in mere seconds. Once was over a partial payment on 2 cards and the second was over a gift card purchase. I submitted a complaint to corporate today after calling not 1, not 2 but 3 times and getting no one on the other after endless ringing and a hang up. Don't know who's job it is to review and interview applicants or train these people but that treatment is downright unacceptable!! Anyone else experience this at the edison Walmart on 27? Also has anyone noticed that only 1 out 10 customers AND staff are actually wearing their masks properly and no one says anything about it. read more

Their Returns Dept needs to hire people that are professional and know what they are doing. Their computer system is a joke. It took an act of Congress to return 1 item there that I clearly had all the proper documentation for. Plus they charged me return shipping and a restocking fee even though the vendor return policy clearly states there is no return fee(s). Even the Returns Mgr on Duty is extremely rude and she obviously had better things to do that day than to help her customers. Needs to take a class in Customer Service. The employees here are superb!! They were friendly and super helpful!! It was my first time shopping here and all of the employees that I was in contact with was very nice. I waited for my apple watch to be picked up but unfortunately it was still not ready and I told the employee that I needed to go back to NY before 5 pm. She was very helpful and looked for a way for me to be able to get the apple watch on time. I was also looking for a dog's orthopedic bed while I was there and another employee noticed I am lost so he also offered help. My boyfriend purchased a grill from Walmart's website because they advertise free 2 day shipping. 4 days later he still hadn't received the grill. He called customer service and the representative informed him it was in a different town and knew nothing else but offered to send him another one that would be shipped and delivered within 2 days. A week later he still hadn't gotten the grill. He called to cancel the order, was promised a refund within 6 business days, and purchased the grill elsewhere. 8 business days later he still hadn't gotten his refund so he called customer service for the fourth time just to find out the refund wasn't even processed because the order was never cancelled.. but weeks later it still was never delivered. Terrible customer service and rude employees at the Rt27 Edison, NJ store. We had an incident with a walmart.com order /site to store and had nothing but issues and lack of communication. When we requested help from a manager to assist with a price match, he was insensitive and condescending, reminded us that Walmart.com is a separate entity and that they are going out of their way to help us. He made my sister upset and he comments, "you looked like your about to cry , you don't have to cry" That did it for me. Literally the most incompetent and non customer focused employees I've have ever met. I called 5x on my way over there and no one picked or when someone did pick up I was put on hold for 10 mins. When someone finally answered my call they said they didn't have the item. I was already in the parking lot at this time so I decided to see if they had the item. They had multiple. Bought the item and left got home, the item was damaged. After that I went back I arrived at the desk at 10:03 when the customer service desk closes at 10:00 I asked if she could just do a quick exchange really quick all I need is just do an even exchange for a single item. They said no and sent me home. I really can't believe it, especially someone who has come from a retail background. Sometimes whenever I drive back from H Mart, and have the urge to stop at a Wal*Mart, I end up stopping here. This is one of the more newer versions of the store, and everything here looked nice and most of the shelves were very well-stocked. The prices here are competitive as well. Just keep in mind that this store gets crowded at times, and it may take a while for you to get in and out of the parking lot. Otherwise, it's worth stopping by! read more

This is the local "good" Walmart. What separates a "good" Walmart from a "bad" Walmart? They seem to have actually placed orders for things and stocked their shelves. Novel right? They also seem to clean up messes people make. The shelves are in a somewhat ordered state and not a total disarray like they are in PIscataway or North Brunswick. That said, the restrooms were totally closed the last time I was here. Also it's still a Walmart. So the lines suck, the store is mostly awful, but it's the best Walmart in a 20 mile radius for sure. read more

I'm only giving this 5 stars because of the AMAZING people watching that can be watched here :) It really is a circus before you even leave your car, which is a good and bad thing :) If thats not your thaaaaaang, then you can enjoy the cheapo prices on almost everything in the store, including electronics ( Yes, I will and ALWAYS will be a tech junkie :) :) :) ) Now, the only reason I HAVE to come here on a monthly basis is because they do have the cheapest prices on prescriptions.... ESPECIALLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE. I WILL REPEAT THE LAST SENTENCE AGAIN- I HAVE CHECKED EVERY SINGLE PLACE IN THE PAST FEW YEARS, AND WALMART IS THE CHEAPEST. When I say the cheapest, I mean at least $20 CHEAPER than Rite Aide, Walgreens, CVS, Costco and even my favorite Target. Is it possible for a Walmart to be described as beautiful? The store is brand new, gi-hug-ic, and well organized in ways I've never seen a Walmart. No, it's not a Super Walmart with produce, but your standard items. I guess they just took advantage of the space as I don't think they carry anything out of the Walmart norm. The restroom is in the back of the store and is exceptionally clean and well designed with state of the art faucets and sinks. I did wind up purchasing socks and realized the bag was taped shut after paying. Yeah, that and when I got home and paired up the socks, I realized there was an orphan. Off to return I go! read more

If you think this Walmart sucks, you obviously haven't been to the one in Union on US-22--now THAT one is terrible. For the most part, items here are stocked well and properly. I don't recall seeing any clothes dropped on the floor or items on the wrong shelf or metal hanger. The main thing that bugs me is that there are a lot of items that have such a thick layer of dust on them, especially in the automotive section. Employees here actually work, are friendly, and are helpful. Those are overly ambitious expectations and hell of a lot more than what I could say for the Union branch. Can you tell how much I despise that location? I feel like my IQ decreases each time I'm there. Okay, how about now? The checkout lines can be slow since the cashier's seem to be very calm, which is actually nice. However, I recommend the self checkout since they can move a little too slow at times. There's someone there to help you in case you're unfamiliar with how it works. There is plenty of parking, but it does get busy after work. It's conveniently located across from Costco. read more

I seriously don't know why I do it. I always end up in a Walmart and I always end up regretting it. I feel I spend so much time hunting for what I need and dodging everyone and their inability to push shopping carts, that when I'm at my breaking point, I have to talk myself down from just running out the door. I do love the wide variety of products I can get here, at great prices, but my sanity is severely tested in any one of these stores, but this review is about a specific location, so here we go. For some reason, I felt like the store was sideways. Weird analogy, but I don't know how to explain it. It was a big store, but I feel like the aisles were super narrow in a lot of places. I could barely squeeze by another customer and her cart in the chip aisle. Then, when you get to the end of a merchandise aisle, there is a ton of products blocking the main flow of traffic. So , while it's normally impossible to navigate through the stores, this made it even harder. There was me and my cart going one way, someone in front of me with their cart, two sets of people/carts coming the opposite way. A family of 5 decided they didn't want to wait and squeezed through the middle of our carts. All while 3 associates were waiting in line to get through the same way. Really??? I'm sure there has to be some sort of fire hazard violation the way the non merchandise aisles are set up. When I got the the register, the lady was soooo slow and was more concerned about her conversation with the other cashier than she was with turning the register display so I could see the total. Yeah, she didn't tell me the total. She just kept pointing to the backwards display, so I had to walk around my cart to see it. I despise this place! read more
