This is a pretty standard Walmart. When I visited most recently it felt like much of it had recently been reorganized but it seemed like there was a LOT of selection available for purchase. It is definitely a bigger Walmart location than some of the others that I have visited! We were able to find pretty much everything we were seeking relatively quickly and were able to checkout via the self-scan area pretty quickly as well. There is ample parking and we were there at a non-peak time so it wasn't too busy. read more

It seems that I only set foot in a Wal-Mart during business trips or when I go back to Iowa and visit my parents. The former is when I'm bored and want to kill some time and the later is when I'm following my Mom around. This Fort Saskatchewan Wal-Mart is relatively new and in the same shopping area as Canadian Tire and Mark's Work Wearhouse. The only difference that I could see within this Canadian version is Maple Leafs here and there and an impressive selection of long johns and other winter wear. Otherwise, this Wal-Mart could be anywhere. read more

The worst Walmart I have ever been to in my life. The fruit and vegetables are always bad even with flies swarming them. Shelves are never stocked and employees never asking to assist you. Two instances where I went to the store and product spilled on me due to someone tampering with the product and the staff did nothing to correct it. I'll never shop there again. read more

Brutal lines, ALL THE TIME. No one ever calls for cash assistance when it's busy and the self checkout is always closed, apparently due to high theft at this location. I once stood in line for 20 minutes and observed the slow, teenaged cashier have conversations with two off duty coworkers or friends while her line-up grew and grew. I guess good help is hard to find in this town. Every time I shop here it's the same delays at checkout. Never enough people working cash but there seems to be someone available to try and get folks into the portrait studio. read more

If I could do zero stars, I would. I was in there a couple of days ago when your cashier, who you will probably read about soon, called two little girls at the checkout 'Dirty Little Jews'. Apparently he thought that this kind of racism was hilarious. I was not there, unfortunately, for the poor woman who had to explain her case to the assistant manager, who showed no remorse. He even laughed at her. But I DID read a nice long message about the rest of the incident on Facebook, so prepare for more input from angry customers. Which I am not anymore. Thank you very much to all of your other staff who haven't showed such a lack in HUMAN DECENCY, but I will no longer be supporting this store. This is a disgusting thing to defend, racism is not a fucking joke. read more

Customers are made to feel like an inconvienance most of the time. Deli machines are not properly cleaned. Portrait studio is probably the worst customer service department ever, almost feel like you're talking to a teenage girl with an attitude who can't wait to leave work. Gave an extra star just for the couple of middle aged ladies who work cash and who actually smile as well as the one teen boy. read more

Stupid store. Stupid employees. Stupid management. In every aisle, most of the shelves are empty. Obviously, no one bothers ordering stock. There is virtually no one working so if you look for help, forget it. It isn't going to happen. Be prepared to wait a long time to get through what little check outs they have. And now, they want to charge for shopping carts. This store should do everyone a favor and just close for good. read more

So I just checked the website to make sure the store is open and it says it is open from 7:00am - 11:00pm. Tried calling to speak to someone in the automotive dept. Phone is still ringing 10 minutes later and no one is answering or transferring my call! read more

The garden centre doors are closed for some reason and must go to main store doors. Very inconvenient if you want to perchase bagged soil that is sitting outside of the garden centre. What a dumb idea. It's true you can't fix stupid. Going to Canadian Tire Garden Centre. read more

This Walmart's produce always seems to get bad quickly and the selection is never great... The electronics dept needs some help staff wise too...I get the feeling this Walmart is understaffed and needs some better management.. read more

When we moved to Fort Saskatchewan this Walmart had not yet been build. We appreciated when it was. We appreciated it even more when it became a Super Centre. Compared to other WalMart this store is very clean. The hours of operation are broad enough to look after most people. My only real compliment is general lack of sense in how they schedule their staff who work on the checkout lines. There are times when the lines are very long with only a few checkouts open, then other times the store is very quiet and the checkout staff are tripping over each other. With the data mining that Walmart is famous for, you would think they would have review their historical sales for each day and time of day and have that as the primary driving for their staffing strategies. read more
