The outdoor side of things is pretty standard with a Walmart, Winners, Dollarama and Ardene's etc. I come here quite a bit to pick up some shopping but never consider it a mall. The indoor part is hard to find, I was driving around and around trying to find the library! The day I went inside was Sunday and was delighted to see a mini farmers market on the go. It's really small but it has all the things you go to the larger markets for. I was impressed and will head there on a Sunday for my vegges instead of venturing to Whyte Ave and scrambling for parking! I heard form my last visit to Edmonton Public Library that they will be closing this location down so I wonder what will happen to this remaining building after they move out?

I had never been before Friday so I had no idea what I was in form. While WEM is famous, Kingsway is a secret gem, and Southgate is gaining fame as a great mall too, Capilano has been left behind. The "food court" only has 4 or 5 food options and few tables. The most on-trend womens' clothing store is Smart Set, which, while not bad, is never my first choice. I came for a massage at Makami College located in the mall, but I didn't take too much time to stick around post-rub. Not much to see here, folks.

It is definitely busy on the lunch hour, but it is also 3 weeks to Christmas, so that could be why. The parking lot was packed, but it is a strip mall with quite a few other stores around. Prices are always pretty good at Walmart, and I was able to find a fun Bluey squishmallow for my daughter, at a decent price. This location has a huge self check out section with two entrances, at least 16 self checkout stations, and only a few regular checkouts with cashiers. I didn't have any issues with this store but it did not wow me in any way either. Depending on what I need, I will probably be back in the near future.

I find the most unusual condiments here, and for the most part everything is fresh, clean, and of course, totally affordable. After shopping here numerous times (X 20+) I have only found 1 pack of cookies that were abit old. I expect that though. They cost a whopping $1.25, so I can live with it. I ate 'em anyways so nothing serious obviously. I only lament when I find a remarkable deal that I don't know if the item will remain in stock. I've found fresh dried herbs and I was shocked and amazed.... but they are no longer stocked. Some lovely chutney..but....no longer stocked. Of course I've found some other surprising treats SO my only mistake is not buying a few at a time. I've learned that lesson. I do stock up now. But that's what the business is about! And I do love it. I cruise every, single aisle. I do.

I love to host big theme parties and this is the place to get all the disposible tableware one would ever need. If you are looking for orange round plastic table cloths for the kiddies' table at Thankgiving, this is the place. While you are there, pick up a huge bag of tea lights for $2, 12 dish cloths for another tooney, and then complete the haul with great with a giant package of knee highs. What sets this one apart for all the others - including Dollarama - is the size, neatness and lack of frantic customers jarring you with shopping carts.
