The inside is usually clean (+1). You don't see the People of Walmart type here often, though they do visit. The selection is decent and I rarely cannot find something that I'm looking for(+1). The prices are among the best around (+1). I don't buy produce from here, even though it's available, so I have no comment about the quality of their produce. They also keep their shelves stocked and will have someone restock a shelf (at least partially) if it's empty during the day. (+1) There are two issues that I have with the Langley Walmart location. They have removed nearly all of their regular checkout isles and replaced them with self checkout kiosks, half of which are non-functional or closed. If my memory serves, there are now only six regular tills and they are often not staffed. Past a certain point each night, only the self checkout kiosks appear to be open. (-1) The number of staff on the floor are also few and far between. (-1) However, the staff are great. They genuinely seem to want to help. (+1) read more

I bought some toys and body lotion. The "roll back" price for the body lotion was $1.50 higher than what I had paid for earlier in the year. I assumed it is just the cost of living price increases. I was not impressed at the roll back sign because it came off as a fake sale. Otherwise, there was barely any staff working in the store. Even tho this location is closer to home, I'll drive the extra miles to the Guilford store now. Last night, I was in line and the cashier was being rather rude and short with a couple who were having debit card problems. After a few minutes, they were sorted and on their way. I was next in line and the cashier proceeded to make fun of those previous customers. When I called her out on her behaviour, it being inappropriate and all, she started being rude to ME! I have no Wal-Marts where I regularly roam, but it's one place I can count on when I'm out in Langley (which I don't know very well), it's snowing, and I can't delay the wiper replacement any longer. They didn't have the short one for my rear windshield, but did have the two I needed for the front. Also, since I went just before Christmas, I found an Aveeno "gift pack". It had a face wash, moisturizer and pouch in addition to the sunscreen/moisturizer I was looking for, for the same price as it was solo! Worse Walmart security I have ever encountered. It was around 10pm on Sunday, Oct 13, 2019 that I had just returned to my motorhome after purchasing groceries from Walmart in Langley. I was putting them away when I was frightened by loud pounding on my door and windows. I thought I was going to be broken into and was too afraid to look outside (the window coverings were on all the windows so I couldn't see what was going on). The pounding continued and I was afraid the glass would break or he would put dents in the door, so I had to ask what he wanted. A short scruffy looking East Indian man said he was Security and that I was trespassing and had to move or he would call the police. I was shocked and before I could even put my groceries away, two police officers were knocking on my door. They insisted I produce my driver's license before leaving and made me feel like a criminal. If Walmart hadn't closed at 11pm, I would have had a few expletives for the management. I did not even have enough time to put my milk in the fridge, and just moved to an RV-friendly location. I had just returned from the Okanagan where the Walmart's appreciate the business RV'ers bring them and they welcome overnighting for one night at a time. Love this Store... Open until 11pm every day. And, during December... Open 24hrs/Day for the Holidays. Super Friendly Staff... Greeter remembers your name. Easy to find parking close to door. And, the store is always clean and well-stocked. Very rarely are they out of an item... And, if so they re-stock nightly. An enjoyable shopping experience for a "Big Box" store. I stop there 3-4 times weekly after I finish work on my way home. I'm so glad that I only live a few blocks away... And, I wouldn't consider moving anywhere that didn't have a Walmart close by. read more

If you need anything baby related from this Walmart don't even bother coming here. Half the shelves were empty, no one was working in this department and one of the employees couldn't even tell me when new stock was coming in. The service in the Langley photo center has declined over the past year.. The latest issue is that I ordered 14 xmas ornaments and was promised a next day order would be ready well that was Dec 2 and I am still waiting for the ornaments and they cannot tell me when they are coming in. These are xmas gifts, 14 of them! There has been no follow up and I have been in there twice and no one can tell me when they are coming in. Very disappointing. read more

Like a lost child without her "Target", I find a small bit of comfort in my local Walmart... I took a stroll here just the other day, just because. No reason what-so-ever, but of course I left with a handful of things. Currently, this location is going through a remodel, so it's a small disaster, but it's manageable. It's huge to me! It's organized pretty well, for a walmart, and with the remodel, it's even better. This location offers the usual: photo center, auto center, vision center, pharmacy, McDonalds, etc. The staff here has always been helpful to me, especially in the sports department. When I purchased a bike for my 3 year old and just the other day when I was getting our fishing licenses, they were so awesome! There is a handsome old man, with white hair, who you can tell, was a "looker" in his younger days and now... Haha. And the, (I believe she is Irish) woman who works back there is super informative and great with children. Thanks for being awesome guys! Anyhow- overall what this Walmart has to offer, I accept. I've ever been so disappointed and treated poorly in my life. I have a repair garage and have bought car batteries from Walmart. They charge a core when you buy a new battery and when you return the old one you can get your core refunded. Thats what the sign says..., I went in with receipts for 13 core batteries and the 13 core batteries for my refund, the two ladies behind the counter kept calling for a manager.. they would only refund me for a store credit, I explained I paid with a credit card and I have the receipt so I would like the money put back on my card. They told me that the can only issue a refund back to my card for the batteries the were bought from walmart, I explained these are the old batteries not the new ones, I'm looking for the core to be refunded not a refund of the original purchase. I asked to talk to the manager, the manager can to talk and insisted that that is thier policy. I said its impossible to return a core that was bought from Walmart. I explained you have a car, lets say a Volvo, your battery goes dead and you come to Walmart to buy a new battery and the ruturn your old battery for core and it says Volvo on it, thats not the battery you just bought from Walmart. I left frustrated without my core rufund that I had paid in good faith, after wasting over an hour of my time. read more

I work here and i hate it. Yesterday an employee who is 8 months pregnant was on the verge of fanting and an employee from electronics (OSL) was the only ne who cared. the managers would not let him call an ambulance because they didnt want the hassle. they then retrieved back to their office and put their feet up. they could not have cared less. they left the electronics employee to care for her. this is not my only complaint regarding the managers but this one needed to be brought up. im going to contact whoever i can to get the managers involved in trouble because this was honestly my last straw read more

Do not be fooled by the big blue "Check the price here" signs. more often than not the scanner will not only be broken, it will actually be missing! Last week I wanted to find the price for a bathroom cabinet because I did not trust the shelf price. I carried the 23lb box to three "check the price here" signs, only to find that there were no scanners there! I went to automotive/hardware, outdoor, and cosmetics departments where I saw the big blue signs. finally I ended up at the front of the store where I was able to use the self service checkout scanner to get the price. I was right, the shelf price was wrong. I asked to see the manager to tell him of my experience but he would not see me and instead had a clerk tell me that price scanners are done by corporate and he could not do anything about it. I also called the district manager and left a message, but have not heard anything in over a week. So I decided to take photos of the "Check the price here" signs and show that indeed there are scanners missing. This has been a problem in this store for at least 10 years. My opinion if this is such a long term problem at LEAST remove the "check the price" signs so you are not misleading the customers. read more

This walmart location is clean, well lit, and the staff is actually helpful. Was renovated a couple years ago. I'd recommend this walmart location to anyone in the area. Serves groceries and everything else walmart is known for - known as a "super centre" walmart. Prices are low and welcomed! Only complaint is the usual... Lots of products but not always the greatest quality. Price is definitely more of a factor than quality at walmart. read more

Update: Just came back from the Langley, BC Walmart. The cashier I just had the "pleasure" of going through was SO rude, I was shocked. She rolled her eyes, yawned, didn't say hello, please, thank you and then barked at me to pay...to top it off it said "customer service manager" on her name tag. Her name wasn't showing (she was Polish/Slovenian maybe). Wow, terrible customer service. It also would have been nice if someone had told me that the bakery entrance doors were locked. My go to store for basically everything but clothing....and meat. Layout if fantastic. Huge selection of products. Always lots of staff available. Sales are great. Having the grocery store attached means its a one stop shop for me. Fruits and vegetables always fresh and well stocked. Bakery is amazing... always good deals in the deli. Bought good year tires from this Walmart, so far 3 of the 4 appeared to be damaged and had to replace it, it seems they only supply stokes, no good tires in that Walmart and they do not honour warranty, they make you pay what you shouldn't. read more

Got in from out of town on Christmas Eve. Checked the Walmart hours on line that stated they were open to 11pm. I knew they would be open and a good source for stocking stuffers.I had arrived at Walmart at just after 6:00. Closed. This review is specifically for the Wal-Mart Vision Centre. I have been a customer for several years, ordering my contacts. I have worn regular contacts for over 25 years. Recently, a promotion offered Fresh Look Color Contacts and I thought I would try them out. This product is a thin, flimsy contact that wears and tears rapidly. I had bought a supply to last me at least 3 months and these contacts were ripping and falling apart, to the point where I just used up the last pack. They did not last me more than a month and a half. I also had an awful experience when I came back on the skytrain one night, one of my contacts tore. I still had to get into my vehicle on a dark and rainy night, once I got off the skytrain, and drive home with only one eye visible to see! When I went and spoke to the staff, I was given every excuse possible as to why the product failed me. I asked for the Manager and was told to speak with him the next day, which I did. His suggestion was to merely offer one free trail pair of the Air Optix I usually bought. There were no apologies or concern for having to drive home with only one contact. The next day, I went to pick up my one free trail pair and there was a written note in the tray. The lady working actually had the nerve to look at my natural nails- which are not extremely long at all and say the note from the Manager recommended I trim my nails in order to prevent the contacts from tearing! Even though that has never been an issue in 25 years. I left knowing that I will never order from this Wal-Mart ever again; especially when such a lack of concern for customer's well-being. read more
