This review is strictly for the glasses/contacts and returns department! Like all other Costco's, this one is BUSY lol! We had to return our air conditioning unit because it was delivered broken (not Costco's fault) and returning is always daunting but the representative we dealt with (and the other so could hear close by) were very courteous and understanding. No grumpy servicing and hopefully that is because no grumpy customers haha - line seemed long at first but many only had one item to return and the staff were fast and nice for the most part! I also got my eyes checked at the optometrist and saw Costco staff for their contacts trials. The staff are so patient and kind but can get very busy if there aren't enough staff allocated to this department. I appreciated the calm and educated demeanor the staff had with me as I went through contacts lessons for putting them in and taking them out. Physically I have smaller eyes/lids and particularly struggle with touching my own eye. I stated I wanted to practice for certain events or occasions where contacts would be more beneficial and even though I was insecure and nervous - the staff made me feel safe and understood! There was no belittling or rushing me out of the appointment. They were encouraging and positive! read more

First time shopping there. I had just bought a membership an hour before. So how do these people welcome me? I'll tell you... They have me standing in line to be able to LEAVE for a few minutes, then this stupid woman takes my receipt, looks at it then tells me "you didn't pay for toilet paper". I said "yes I did". Visited from WA state and had to hit the food court for some items we don't get in the US like the famous poutine, chicken strips with fries and the ice-cream cone. Food was good, maybe too many fries in the end. Food court is busy with few tables available, but the food didn't take too long to be ready. Poutine fix checked! read more

I love going to Costco! The Costco in Langley is great, there is a gas station that we go to and the gas is always cheaper. In this day of crazy gas prices it great anytime to get a deal. ones in a while they don't have certain products that we are use to getting which is a little annoying but for the most part we love that you get products that are good quality and often cheaper than anywhere else. We have our old standard: chicken pot pie, cheeses, bread, pumpkin pie (yum, it's giants size), meat (awesome cuts), , great sales occasionally on cosmetics, pharmacy and personal items. They are consistent it what they deliver and the layout is pretty standard so you can find things easily whether to go to one in BC, Ontario or even through the states. I like that you get rebates so your membership can potentially be paid for. In these times of financial stress anything that makes it easier to feed your family with decent food and access to , I'm in! read more

If you've ever been in a Costco, then you know. If you haven't, then it's a massive warehouse where you purchase what you want in large quantities, most often at a great price but nearly always cheaper than you can get anywhere else (the power of bulk purchasing). They sell groceries, tires and automotive, prescription glasses, hearing aids, beds, appliances, seasonal wares, medications, vitamins and supplements, clothing, camping gear, ready made meals, rotisserie chickens, and so much more. While they often keep stock of many things, they cycle through products rather rapidly and do not restock slow movers. Everyone who has been a Costco member for any length of time knows that if you find something you like, you don't just buy only one thinking you'll come back and pick up more later, because they may not be there later... or ever again. As a side note, the Kirkland brand (which is Costco's own brand) is awesome. Haven't purchased anything Kirkland that my family or I have ever thought was a bad buy. The only downside to Costco is finding parking... and if you know, you know. If you don't, the parking lots are a lot like watching far too many clowns pack themselves into a clown car with even more clowns circling around the car waiting to pack themselves into the clown car to, except that you're one of the clowns trying to pack yourself in to the already overfull car. I wont remove any stars for this as this is a direct result of Costco's success and it's a good problem to have. However, if you want to skip the lines, arriving 15 minutes before they open will get you (and the other 1-2 dozen people arriving at the same time) ample parking and inside within a minute of them opening. The Langley location is always clean in spite of it being nearly packed from opening to closing. As is with every Costco that I've ever been to, it's always busy. read more

I bought prescription sunglasses and regular prescription glasses a few months ago. I rarely wore the sunglasses because I only wore them to drive and I'm always in my husband's vehicle and I drive my own car once in awhile. To clarify I've usually spent about 20 bucks on sunglasses and often they lasted a few YEARS. These sunglasses from Costco were always in my car in a case and they got scratched up quickly. I was shocked. They were such poor quality. My husband and have been buying our glasses at Costco for years. I brought the sunglasses back to Costco hoping they would either fix them or I could return them. I was dismissed by the clerk and was told they were not scratch resistance. THE SUNGLASSES WERE GARBAGE! My husband and I will never buy another pair of sunglasses from Costco. These sunglasses should have sold for 10 bucks! That's how cheaply made they were. Great Costco! Slightly better prices than in the states on some items , diapers, wipes, maple syrup. Their salmon and beef cost more (but looks better, no color added to their salmon, no fsrm raised!!!) Tire store: the lady who checked me in for changing tire appointment was totally useless! Couldn't understand a word she was saying, shoving one paper after the other for me to sign. After all said and done she made a mistake so everything needed to be cancelled again. Waiting for about 10 minutes for supervisor to come from another department. Timed myself at 17 minutes for the procedure. NOT acceptable especially since my tires were all bought from Cosco before. My advice: walk away from someone who can't speak understandable English.Not good for customer service and not good for Cosco either! read more

Love coming here. Although stressful at times, I manage to find great buys. This store is well laid out, and most of the staff are friendly. The bad..... They need...NEED to open another Costco in Langley (or surrounding area). People from all over come to the Langley Costco and the parking lot is a nightmare to deal with. The gas bar....oh geez, it's a gong show, especially with the gas prices. The past month people have started lining up on 64th Avenue. Not ideal, or safe. The inside insanity isn't any better. I swear this store attracts people who have no regard for other people...but that's not Costco's fault. Just sucks for normal people. The pharmacy is awful -the most mismanaged pharmacy I've ever dealt with. I called to see if my Rx was ready only to be hung up on THREE times. I have had prescriptions not filled properly, and awful customer service in general. Seems like people in this department love passing the buck. I'm visiting Canada and I'm reviewing Costco? Eh - why not. We know we're having a late game tonight and likely won't be back until after midnight. Dinner before game is not a good idea. Late dinner is on the lineup. Rather than find a restaurant at midnight and end up with either low-quality, expensive fast-food or a very expensive decent dinner, we opted to trek to Costco for a roast chicken and a salad - perfect for four people. While there, we picked up a couple of Montreal Steak Sandwiches from their hot food counter. (This is on their menu instead of the baked chicken pockets at our Costco's.) This looked exciting and, well - somehow Canadian. Um - it's corned beef. Don't get me wrong - it's good corned beef. And it comes with a pickle - NYC style! (Well, not really a NYC pickle - these pickles are soft, not crisp.) The corned beef/pastrami is sliced thin and nicely lean. We ordered two sandwiches for four of us and the girl was kind enough to give us two extra pickles. Good thing. We weren't thinking and left without adding any mustard or anything. A few hours later, the pickles were needed to moisten the triangular artisan bread. Once back from our night game, we'll dig into the roast chicken and the apple-cranberry-pecan salad. I'm sure it will hit the spot. At $14.98 for the chicken and the salad to feed four of us, it's a total bargain in an adventure in which we have been consistently sticker shocked. This Costco looks fairly new. Very clean and not at all crowded. We visited at the height of rush-hour driving traffic and were in and out in about 15 minutes. read more

Oh Costco... I came in for laundry detergent and left with 24 socks, 4 kg of chicken, and enough batteries and toilet paper to survive the Apocalypse. As it goes there's sometimes a rotation of goods so what you went in for one month won't be available the next so sometimes that's frustrating. Especially when you've grown accustomed to a product or product line, but generally the items that they do carry are always in abundant stock. This location seems to be better than the one on the King George in Surrey and now that there's a gas bar parking is at a premium. But being patient and parking in the back 40 to take advantage of a nice stroll to the front door usually garners results. The one thing that this and other locations in BC are lacking is the outdoor restaurant setup. Take locations in Hawaii for example. I really like going for a cheap hot dog and sitting outside enjoying the chaos that is the parking lot, taking in the scenery and comings and goings of the area. When you have to squeeze your way through the exit, past returns to get a meal then sit inside if there happens to be any room, I sometimes think twice about going there. It would have been nice if they had the forethought, or if they consider renovations, to add an outdoor cafeteria setting or roll shutters to move the extra people from inside where the commotion is to outside and away from the entrance/exit of the building. But other than that the food they offer is cheap and good, so that's nothing to shake a stick at! read more

I had to pick up my prescription (Langley Costco) so while we (husband and I) were there I may as well do some shopping. Everyone was to do that 6' rule even though the lock down mostly over as we suppose to transition ourselves back to normal. My husband was standing at he front of the buggy just to the side of it, putting things on the conveyor belt. While I went to the where the guy at the til was checking my grocery's. I would say my husband was about 6ft away from the til guy. The guy see's my husband and walks over to him and gets less than a foot away from him and tells him he has to step on the red dot. What the hey? Since went does standing in a dot have anything to do with this 6' rule? OMG! The dot was under the front wheels of the buggy and he was standing off to the side about 6" from the dot putting the grocery's on. I thought we were going to leave with no grocery's there for a moment. I could see my husband getting of mad. And he had every right to feel that way. I couldn't believe it. He come within a foot of my husband just to say you are not on the dot. It's amazing how to give a person a little bit of power to make decisions and it goes to there head instead of using it. I have had problems with these employee's myself. Last time I was there and after spending 1 hour in a lineup just to get in the door, I was about half way shopping and a employee starts bellowing "Come on, Come on People Hurry up. There are people waiting to get in." over and over again. I thought it was rude. I didn't see one person that went any faster. You couldn't and being 6 ft apart. I think I'm going to think twice about renewing my membership next time. As it is it takes time to shop there on a good day and that's just to find a parking spot. We thought the Abbotsford location would be quieter and we were super wrong. I was crazy in the parking lot but it was bearable inside the store. We had to renew our membership and James at the service desk was super helpful getting us back in the loop. Great selection of products to choose from but make sure you buy only what you need or else impulse will take over like what happened to us. This is a typical Costco. You walk in expecting to buy a bit of meat and a few cleaning supplies and you walk out with a five gallon tub of mayonnaise as well as a new Ford Explorer. My kind of place. My wife still complains about the time I came home with two hundred colored pens for only ten cents each. For the next year she never let me forget as each pen failed on its first use. But they were only ten cents each. I particularly enjoy the Costco Food Court. The Polish hot dogs with a fountain drink are food of the gods. They have a great garlic flavor and are extra tasty as forbidden fruit. I have one with no trimming, and just enjoy the garlicky goodness. read more

LOVE this store, everyone has always been friendly and helpful to me, have shopped there since they opened. Yes the parking lot can be crazy at times how ever I have found shopping at dinner time helps. Products like clothing are excellent and the prices fit my budget. The BBQ chicken one can't go wrong with this one! Food court is way to small. I do find it odd that adults when either leaving the store or entering it via the parking lot do not look to see if traffic is coming at them! They walk right out in front of your vehicle!! Not a lot you can say about Costco really....if your looking for a place to buy an obscene amount of ketchup, Mr Noodles and a couch this is the store for you. Parking can be a problem so be prepared to push your Humvee sized grocery cart the length of a football field but overall as Costco's go this is a decent one. The staff is as friendly as they can afford to be be with a small country lined up waiting to pay for their groceries and the selection is good enough that you'll end up buying things you didn't know you wanted until you saw it in it's shiny impulse buy inducing package. So roll up your sleeves grab a massive shopping cart and load up on way to much apple sauce. read more

I grade a Costco on: ease of parking, crowds/ courtesy of co-shoppers inside, and checkout wait times- other than that they are pretty much all the same. Costco pharmacy gets a big fat zero from this long time businesses member. Doesn't matter what time of day you drive around forever to fight for a parking space. One inside the line up to drop off a prescription off is minimum half hour long, your told it will take three hours to prepare and after returning at appointed time prescription not ready and when finally prepared there is only twenty eight pills in the one hundred eighty pill prescription. Customer expected to return a third time, fight for a parking space a third time and wait a half hour or more to pick up the balance owed. Why can't they call the client to advise to save the client/ patient a frustrating trip. Oops I guess that would be good customer service. Why is it that this company has such a hard time filling prescriptions accurately? It doesn't seem to matter how clear I am when I phone for a refill or how many times I ask them to repeat back to me what I'm ordering (which they do), almost every time I go in to pick up, they have it wrong. Langley Costco has got crazy busy ever since they put in the Gas bar. The Township declined the first attempt in one corner of the lot and then a year later they approval to put in a gas bar in a different corner of the parking lot! Say good-bye to 20% of the available parking spaces. Now, with increasing population, it's a rare to drive up and find an open parking spot other than 1 hour before closing. At 1:30 P.M. on a Monday and a Tuesday, you had to wait for someone to leave in order to get a parking spot(unless another car was already waiting). Bellingham costco is a much better shopping experience despite the driving distance. Also the wait for prescriptions is now an ordeal. You wait 6 deep to drop off and pick up your prescriptions. Sometimes they suggest that you come back the next day for pick-up. The staff work hard,but there are just too many people. read more

Parking is ample at this Costco - and the spaces are huge (designed for all the Langley folk and their trucks). Inside is rather open, a few tricky areas where carts get a little tied up, but it all depends on what time you go. People here tend to be rather laid back, did not experience anyone in a rush. Found the shelves well stocked, neat and the store in great overall condition. Lines were 4 carts deep, minimal tills open, however the lineup moved very quickly and I was through in a more than acceptable amount of time. As always the total adds up too quickly and I now have enough toilet paper to last until 2021. read more

I have nothing but praise for the staff in the Hearing Dept at Langley Costco.They are excellent. I had been for 4 hearing assessments at 4 others suppliers of hearing aids and Costco far surpassed them all. The test was more in-depth and the service was the best. I purchased my Rexton aids for much less than the cost for the same calibre aids anywhere else and the service I have had from the staff has been excellent.Thank you to Roger and staff for making it all so easy and painless.No problems whatsoever !!!!Hats off to them all. read more
