Wal-Mart is on the other side and just outside of downtown Merrit. Like the one in Squamish BC it seems to serve it's purpose by offering regular Wal-Mart type items for a good price. Pretty much everything you can find here, but not everything. There are things elsewhere in town that you just can't find in any Wal-mart. That is mainly character that doesn't fit in a big box. Still, if you can't find it elsewhere, it's always worth a chance to check it out here. And yes. I did enjoy walking through the aisles here a few times.

Yesterday I came in at 3pm to get my scheduled vehicle alinement they made me wait 8 minutes at the front I was told I was paying a set price and it'd be done in 1hr and 30 minutes. No problem, we'll when I got there they didn't do anything to my vehicle did a inspection without asking me letting me know they'd do it if they couldn't work on my car tried to upsell me stuff I didn't need for my vehicle instead of just trying to tell me the price of what was needed to be fixed to get the alinement. They provided no service to my vehicle lifted it and put it back down did a quick inspection without my knowledge and charged me $94+ dollars just to have my car sit there and wait almost 2 hrs for nothing. The manager is rude and belittling just because I'm in heels in a dress doesn't mean I don't know how to work on my car or find a mechanic what type of manager ask someone "are you sure you know a mechanic" yes I do but I'm not paying for this my father inlaw is and it's none of her business as mad as I was I was still polite and told her thank have a great day multiple times she ignored me wouldn't let me take the cashier receipt pretty much perp walked me through the store and stood there till the cashier rang up my order as if I was gonna start something. I've worked in customer service since I first was able to legally work, I've had plenty of managers like her using her customer service to try and hide her rudeness, I do my best to make the workers lives easier because I know how mean and difficult certain customers can be but to treat me that way after standing up for myself was definitely uncalled for and I will be back. Reasonably priced, decent stock and selection, and helpful service staff. I'm a fan and visit practically every time I'm through the area - whether I need something or not.

This is definitely a typical Superstore with familiar brands, products and prices, as well as a similar layout. It includes a Joe Fresh, a pharmacy and a bakery. This store definitely has some supply issues as they were out of a few things, but that is typical for small town in interior BC. Previously when I visited this store there was no cell signal in the back half of the store, which is frustrating if you are trying to look at a digital app for your grocery list or calling someone to ask if there is milk in the fridge. But this time I was able to do both with far less issues. The gentleman who checked me out was so nice, he grabbed me from a longer line to open up his till, made friendly conversation, and had such an upbeat attitude for a very busy day, 3 days before Christmas. He just made my day.

Has anyone ever pointed out to Superstore that that is "false advertising"!!! If Superstore feels it can offer an item for say "$2. each, with a limit of 4 items at that price", and then charge me $4. each, after I have ordered 4 items, then I should be able to change my order to 1 item, if that is what I'd have ordered had I been told what they planned to begin with. I quit ordering from WalMart after they cheated me out of $60. one time. But at least they honour the prices they advertise! I think it may be time for me to start rethinking my loyalty. Diane P.

It was exactly as my friend described it, because it contained "everything you could want in a hurry" (and if you can wait a little longer, you can always order online or venture into Princeton). They had an impressive selection of snacks, household items, and outdoor hobby items. The prices did feel a smidge higher than average, but I can definitely understand you pay for the convenience. We had already planned lunch with some friends otherwise I would have voted to have lunch at the Trading Post too.
