Really like how the new renovations in this store look. There is an update to the hot food station with lots of selection. When we went they had jerk chicken and chinese food. The servers were very nice and offered us samples of the food available. We also looked at the prepacked hot food section, the price was really good for the amount of food they you get. Delivery services - online order I'm not one to mess with someone's pay cheque but get rid of the whole delivery team. They are awful an clearly miserable and hate their jobs. ZERO customer service. It clearly says call 1 hour before. They called 5 minutes before and arrived on the wrong day. Walmart do better! read more

I was waiting for a couple of friends at Square One. I had arrived early and decided to check out the Walmart. This Walmart is massive! It is likely the largest one that I have ever been to in the GTA. It has two floors. I always cringe at the slanted escalator at Walmart, especially when you have folks with carts chock full of stuff, kids running up and down it, and you are avoiding getting knocked over on it. Human bowling on a moving escalator is not what I can call enjoyable Saturday afternoon. What I love about this store is the variety of snacks. I was in love looking at all the chips, nachos, and candy. I could live here. I was in my own little world. I have a thing for small appliances. Although I don't need one, the Sodastream line of carbonated, do-it-yourself drinks made me happy. I'd like one. Same goes with a personal blender. The prices are decent. There were cakes and brownies going for $5. The black forest cake was taunting me to buy it. Lineups at the store are long and it looked crazy. Bring your patience here, especially on weekends. Shame, shame, shame on you walmart!!!!! I'm extremely disappointed with their customer service! Due to covid - 19 for the past 2 yrs walmart store return policy has been changed. This is unacceptable by all means towards customers. This is a totally ridiculous excuse not to accept personal care items. I truly understand what walmart store policy is in terms of hygiene during the pandemic. I've just purchased a men's Braun electric shaver which I know that I've used. The electric shaver doesn't have enough power from the motor to give a clean shave. I've only used the electric shaver twice before heading to walmart customer service to return it for a full refund. The sales associate & customer service manager told me that it's final sale. No exchanges & refunds, I've asked for the store manager. I've waited for more than 10 mins, the sales associate had paged the store manager no show. The customer service manager had resolved my situation after speaking to the store manager. The end result was that they had made an exception to give me a full refund for the men's electric shaver. After 4 hours of charging the electric shaver it takes nearly more than 20 mins to get a clean shaved result. Braun products have a excellent reputation unfortunately their men's electric shavers don't hold up to what is advertised. Walmart this is definitely my first & last time you ever receive my support & business! I highly don't recommend this location! read more

This Walmart? Too big? LOL! Surely you folks are joking. Go down to any of the superstores in the southern United States and then we'll talk. Those are the size of a medium industrial complex and can legitimately be seen as a place where you could survive for decades on your own inside - everything and the kitchen sink in there. This location is a minnow by comparison. I've always had a soft spot for the Square One Walmart - perhaps it's because it's been here almost as long as I've been alive. I remember visiting this place as a kid, and I'm unsure how long it was there before that. It's one of those landmark businesses in the city, and you're always sure to see it, if not visually, then by the massive traffic jams in and around the city centre almost every day as people flock to it. Never let it be said that people don't worship at the feet of their retail gods. This is almost always a zoo, filled with the standard burdens on society that you've come to know and love. Seniors flying by in the motorized scooters, wildebeests holding a child on each arm, overweight neckbeards with too much time on their hands... anytime you go to a Walmart, it's an exploration of the worst humanity has to offer. The fact that it can be accessed from a mall that is trying (TRYING) to be upscale only further highlights the discrepancy. There are some good things to love in here. Ever since they renovated, the McDonalds is a fantastic place to sit down and get a coffee - much more seating, nicer layout, the works. Likewise, I find the Walmart electronics section to be among the better ones I've visited, as the selection is better and aisles are a bit cleaner (especially compared to other locations like Dixie or Oak Park in Oakville). The grocery is hit-or-miss. There's definitely a lot of turnover on products due to being so busy, which is a good thing, but it's still wise to steer clear of produce. Lineups are either haphazard or slow due to a lack of oversight, and you can be certain that if you desperately want something, it will either be out of stock or none of the employees will know where it is. That said, I still like this location. It's undeniably convenient. Despite the issues, it has a fair amount of selection and the sale prices are usually great. It's worth a visit if you're in the area, but keep your expectations in check. read more

5 stars for connivence and selection. It's a huge location, two floors. You can find anything you want here. Best part is it's in one of Canada's busiest malls. It's always super packed i definitely recommend the self check out there's almost never a line. The only downside is the bakery section, their baked goods are very limited. They have lots of bread but their actual cakes and cookies are below average. No hot food either like other Walmart's such as hot rotisserie chicken. So if you're going there for anything but baked and hot food you're golden! Also they have a pretty big sit in McDonald's on the second floor and a McCafé right before the mall. Went to Walmart to purchase a Meta Quest for Xmas gift. Meta Quest is advertised with a game which will be released on Dec.15. OSL is operating the Walmart electronics dept. Had a few questions which no one could answer. Asked for the Meta Quest. Six sales reps were standing around talking. Each one passed my order to another rep. Finally one went to get it from the back. This costs $650.00. When it finally came to the front I asked about the game. The OSL rep said it was no longer part of the sale. Even after showing the advertisement in the store indicating that the free game was.included until the end of Jan 2024 he insisted it was no longer valid. I even said Best Buy and Amazon were offering the system with the game at the same price. The rep told me I should buy it from one of those stores then. That is what I did. So Walmart you out the sale of $650.00 plus whatever else I bought from the other store. Great job by the OSL rep on your behalf!! read more

This is by far, my least favourite Walmart location - ever. The fact that it is two floors makes it that much more frustrating to navigate, and products hard to find. The produce is just awful - goes bad after a day or two, which I don't understand. I don't have this issue with any other store's produce. The canned/boxed items do tend to be cheaper and they price match up to four items so that helpful. They also have a somewhat decent selection of gluten free products (bread, mixes, granola bars, pasta, etc), and the great value gluten free stuff is actually pretty good. They do a mean maple cookie! I really only visit this location when I absolutely, 100% have to. The parking lot is a huge mess, and on holidays you may as well park elsewhere and walk over bc it will take you a good 30 minutes just to exit the parking lot. I think I grew up with this Walmart and every time I wonder why I go when it's always busy. Then I shamefully think, now I'm associated with the people of Walmart (best site EVER). This would not be the place to go to if you just want to roam around and ask associates questions. This is a - I know what what I want, pick it up and GTFO while waiting in line to cash out forever. I can't encourage Walmart since they are the badass retailer in the world - I rather not support the devil of mass merchandisers. Let's face it, wal-mart is a great place for small items that we need in our everyday live. From gel to shavers to cleaning supplies or quick groceries, they have it all. For what it is, it's amazing. They price match competitors and offers lots of options. Their late night closing times, although tough on workers is great for consumers like myself. I liked the idea of shopping at 9 30 sometimes. The store downfall is they hire a bunch of merchandisers with no real knowledge of products they sell. But no big deal, as long as done can direct me to the right aisle. Inside is also a mcdonalds and cafe which always smells great. But too bad in in a diet. But all those with kids, they can be occupied with some fries. Overall, this square one is a great go to place. Will always be a customer! read more

It's a big Walmart and always busy on weekends. While they have a good selection of everything, they sell out a lot because it's so busy. However, it's two big floors, so it's a bit hard and tiring to navigate, but one thing that's kind of neat about this Walmart is that there is two McDonalds. Well, sort of. On the 2nd floor, there is a full service McDonald with a McCafe near the back of the store, but there is also a "stand-alone" McCafe at the mall entrance ("front of the store") and they have some nice danishes there as well, albeit tiny. It's a very smart idea so people don't have to stand in line and wait for food to be served in the main McDonalds even though all they want is a coffee. Also, the electronics section can be cool at times because you can get some cool deals (e.g. found iPhone speakers for $10). As for groceries, it's alright. read more

I like this Walmart. Items are neatly organized. We don't get confused and the eyes don't feel heavy after getting into this Walmart because this Walmart is bigger than the one at Dixie. But few times I bump with the rude staff and few staffs are in a hurry and don't want to help at all some are like they have all the information but in the end they will give you all the wrong information. But item wise this Walmart is good. read more

This place is a beast. What I mean by that is that this walmart is a super store of super stores, being two levels high and filled with just about every valued-priced item you can hope for. This is the first time in a while that I have come to a store with a long list of items to find, and left with each and every single item. The size and selection is undoubtedly the biggest Pro of this place - that, and the convenient location if you are in the Peel region, as it is right inside the Square One. The biggest Con of this place? It's conveniently located right inside Square One. This place is a zoo! Maneuvering your cart through overcrowded aisles of screaming children, inattentive parents, and distracted employees is quite the task! Like with all walmarts, the produce isn't exactly peak freshness...but you know what to expect when you shop for avocados at a walmart. The primary attraction is being able to buy said avocados, while also picking up socks, a toaster, and contact solution. I'll be back, and better prepared to navigate this zoo. read more

I went back again today to ask them for my Pupillary Distance measurements...they told me that they "don't disclose this information to the public". So I said "Is it not my information?" Apparently they only give out the PD if you're getting glasses from them...but this is against the law... This Walmart has become the worst place to shop over the last 2 years since the change in management . No employees for customer service, the line ups are going down the aisles with a 20+ minute wait. The management is no where to be seen at times like this . As a supervisor in retail I expect to see supervisors and managers helping at those times not lounging around watching. The prices aren't worth the grief . The biggest advantage this place has that it's in the Square One Mall, other than that there is hardly anything appealing about this. It's always crowded with the carts always bumping into each other due to small isle space. We ordered some photo prints with an hour service, once we returned shopping the mall, there was no one available to help us to cash out. It is linked with the Electronics dept, I went to the guy, he said find the guy in the blue shirt, now there was just one guy helping so many others, when I went to the above guy again, he says sorry this is Walmart we cannot help it, I spoke to the Manager as well but again to no help. Forget to price match here, because the space is so cramped up and so crowded, people in the line always roll up their eyes, forget that the staff is rude as well. There is hardly any staff to be seen on floor for assistance. The produce many a times isn't fresh as well, as well the other items are disorganized and not managed properly. Went in for an eye exam and saw Dr. Allan Somerall. He was fantastic! Very friendly and funny! I made an appointment and there was no waiting at all. And the eye exam was only $60! I would give this place 5-Stars, expect that the selection of eye glasses were terrible. I did not purchase glasses here, although the prices were very reasonable. read more

This walmart is to busy, way to busy.. I don't like it when it is packed and you barely get to the aisles you want.. I was here a few days ago and forgot to review.. not only that but most things that I wanted were out of stock and I'm like, for a Walmart in this location, they should always have lots on stock and that is not the case here. Some of the staff have language problems and are insistent about selling credit card/cards with benefits. The woman at the customer service did not know how much time I have to bring a specific product back. I would expect more professionalism from such a central Walmart.
