To the right was another office for physical rehab? Check-in for Lab Corp is a bit of a distance to the left. A greeter was there near the desk window instructing patients how to use the self check-in where you use a touch screen as well as a scanner for your ID and insurance card. I was later called up to the desk because they didn't have my blood order. Duh. If there was a normal check-in process with a person, I would have handed it to them. There was a bit of a wait with several people ahead of me. The waiting room filled up quickly. This was early AM not long after they opened. The blood draw took a long time compared to the others I've had. The first phlebotomist, if she was indeed one? (I don't know what else to call them.), didn't know how to recline the chair, argued about my request for a butterfly clip, and didn't seem very skilled. Allegedly only two sticks, but my arms show more. I'm greatly bruised a week later especially in my non preferred arm I warned about. Second woman got a vein no problem first try, but as I was about to leave the room, she said they were missing a vial and had me back in the chair to draw blood all over again. In hindsight, I don't think she liked my vampire joke. I thought I was being original during high anxiety. LabCorp is supposed to have a quicker turnaround for getting results and is better at doing specific tests according to my primary. We'll see on that. This would definitely not be my first choice for future draws. The second more skilled woman said she works in Terre Haute. (Quite a distance.) I think three stars is being generous. My favorite lab recently closed. There aren't many options in this area.

I was a few days away from a business trip to California, and I needed to see a doctor. I was…read moresuffering from a skin condition in my scalp that was bothersome and painful. I did not have time to see a dermatologist as the earlier appointment was well after my time in California. I needed immediate relief. I was in Fort Wayne and decided to go to Physicians Urgent Care as it was listed on my insurance plan. I came in and asked to see a doctor. After filling out some paperwork, i waited my turn. I noticed most of the people in the urgent care that day were people to do mandatory testing for work. After about 20 minutes, I was taken inside and spoke with a nurse and told her my issue. She saw the problem and said a doc would come in a bit. Another 15 minutes later, spoke with the doctor and explained the situation. He prescribed me some doxycycline and prednisone. After a few days of taking the meds, I was in good shape. If you need to see a doc quickly but its not something for the ER, go to Physicians Urgent Care!

My reaction to the ivy wasn't through though and I felt like I needed to go to the walk-in clinic today. Again, I was helped very quickly. By very kind people. The nurse and doctor were attentive, professional, and in my view, very thorough. I was given a steroid shot this time, plenty of instructions, and told the to come back in two or three days if there wasn't improvement. My wife has been in a lot of medical care in many hospitals in Los Angeles during the past four years and there are some great hospitals there. Parkview Wabash really impressed me in every way!

This is my first year at this branch and never had an issue at the other branch I was going to but…read moreI have recently moved. 1st both optometrists I have seen are great; both nice, friendly, and professional. However, there is no communication at this branch. I scheduled my appointment over the phone by calling the location, she originally scheduled me at the last location I was going to without asking. Next, she scheduled me with an optometrist who is only in Ft Wayne 2 days a week and didn't tell me. I know with my prescription, it usually takes multiple appointments to get my glasses/contacts right so this became an issue when I had to return but thankfully the 2nd optometrist agreed to see me and help. NeXT, I asked for prices for prescription sunglasses with my insurance, the front desk said they would have optics call me with prices....7 days later and I never heard from them. I called and left a voicemail, 8 hours late and still nothing so I had to call a 2nd time. When they finally returned that call we discussed prices and I asked if front desk told them I asked for a call regarding pricing and optics said they were not told. Fast forward to my 3rd visit in a few weeks, and front desk is super rude with me. I was told by the optometrist last visit both contacts would be remade due to different issues. I get there and they told me to put my new one in and the doctor would be with me. I tried to tell her I was told I was supposed to get both new and she didn't even know which one was the new one but I was supposed to put it in. Absolutely terrible customer service and even worse communication. Save your time and money and go somewhere else, I know I will be for my future needs
