Before Thanksgiving I reported to a manager at the desk that all the packages of candied apples had fruit flies flying in the package. I was told it would be take care of. So a week later I saw th3 display...same packages, same fruit flies. I saw an employee coming from the deli and showed him the flies INSIDE the packages. Again, I was told it'd be taken care of. A third week goes by and I am back in the store and the first thing I looked for were those apples. Guess what? Same 3 or 4 packages,with even more flies inside. This time I talked to the guys at the meat counter and we were able to get a produce manager over. He acted immediately. Thank heaven. Do better. It is really gross. Here are pics of the bananas. It's pretty big, the flowers and seasonal decor change out often, and the florists/staff are always helpful and around. This Tom Thumb also has a large Starbucks kiosk right at the store's opening, thoughtfully situated amongst the books/magazine section, the little seating area, the flowers, and the store bakery. It's not a bad place to hang, I almost always see at least a few people having coffee and reading or working at the cafe tables. I popped in recently after one of our big storms. An employee at the door was letting patrons know as they entered that they weren't currently selling any frozen or refrigerated items. Half the store was dark, several sections were roped off and empty, and several employees and technicians were working on getting everything up and running again. There were quite a few people there shopping for all things non-perishable. I thought the staff did a great job at keeping things safe, clean, and as accessible as possible. I'm sure all of their usual departments will be back and bustling soon.

Oh my! I'm an old guy. I have several medications controlled through Prescriptions. Per my…read moreinsurance, I have to use Encore for two of my expensive medications. They just sent me the wrong dosage on one they had previously filled correctly. When I called them to say they made a very dangerous mistake and requested they fill it per the Doctor's prescribed strength on the prescription, they charged me again for the medication. They said the guy who called me requesting approval to send it, had verbally told me the dosage and I didn't catch it so it was my fault! My fault! I depends on the company that is administering the dosage to follow the prescription. But with Encore, they said that this is the responsibility of the patient. I have 8 different prescriptions. Wow. According to Encore I need to remember every dose, every month, of every medication to make sure they get it right. I'm not joking. That's what they told me when I pushed back on being charged again. I am just thankful I realized they sent me the wrong dosage. That would have been bad for me. And my family. I am trying to work with my insurance company to find a more competent pharmacy that controls the dispensing of medications so that they meet the latest prescription medication type and dosage amount. Something this important, and dangerous if dispensed incorrectly, needs to be handled by a pharmacy you can trust with the details. I still can't believe they are making me pay for it again. Sadness. I had it sent to Melrose Pharmacy. I was out of my rx yesterday and arrived at 9 am (their posted opening) No one was there. Around 9:15 an employee showed up and parked right in front of the door- hope no handicapped customers need that spot! She was very rude and said she couldn't find my Rx. She finally told me they don't carry that "type" medication- mentioning the words controlled substance at least 3 times. She offered no help in me finding a resolution. It's really sad to still be treated like an addict after being in recovery for over 10 years! I asked for her card and she gave me a business card with a male's name on it. I wouldn't recommend this pharmacy to anyone for any reason.

She was amazing and I was very thankful. Trina provided the same level of care today when I went to purchase my own glasses.
