I called because the online HSA card wasn't being accepted for pickup so I asked if they would be able to hold an item while I drive there (I have a broken foot and nowhere has a boot except for this Walmart and driving hurts so I don't want to make an unnecessary drive since I also live 30min away) and instead of hearing me out about what particular item or trying to help figure out the reason why the card wasn't accepted on the app she said, " NO! First of all I am handicapped and needed a riding cart, none were available and the girl checking receipts said they needed to be repaired. My caregiver also talked to Jamie and that person said to talk to customer service, she went there next and spoke with the manager, and asked her why weren't there any available riding carts. The manager said Well, what do you want me to do about it? My caregiver then said, I don't know why don't you ask Jamie? Wow, this Walmart sure has a lot of low reviews, mostly based on service issues and the store inside. I usually only come here if I'm on my way north to Redding and don't want to stop at the Walmart in Red Bluff which is on the South side of town ... I live more to the north. The trick I use when I need something at Walmart specifically, is I go online to walmart.com and browse the store I'm gonna go to. Yeah, you can set exactly which location you wanna shop and then search out he items you want. Then select "in store" option and you'll get all the related items to your search that thye have in stock at that specific store. Then they even tell you the location in the store, like which Aisle exactly, so no needed service from Walmart employee, who may or may not know where it is! Just go to the store and go to that location and badda bing! you got what you need! Grocery, frozen food, whatever! Then just head to the self check out and bling bling off you go! One thing that irks me about the self check out machines, they can't just scan the new credit cards, like bling to the screen. You have to insert the card into the slot like the old way. Still works, but common' Walmart catch up! So, this store works like all the rest, just come knowing what you want and then get out easy. Now if you just like to browse around on the store, well, have at it! Grocery items are what I search and pick up a lot. Yeah, Walmart prices are usually lower then most grocery chains. read more

I have placed many orders online for groceries. I have had incomplete orders many times. They tell me, I will get a refund on items I have not received, it's been several months and no refund on anything. I am disabled, so I am at their mercy for groceries getting no refunds.It seems Walmart is taking advantage of people who are shopping online especially if you are disabled. We went to Walmart in Anderson today. Number one. we went over to get some Tylenol and advil and we ask for help to get the meds for us that are behind glass doors. we waited and waited for about 30, minutes still nobody, BUT we seen several checkers standing around doing nothing. The one checker I flagged down she said she was busy, SHE wasn't. So after about 30minutes we finally gave up and got in line to at least to pay for what we did have and the check out stand lady was too busy talking instead of doing her job. We stop here every time we drive to Oregon. Love it. It is a huge store, the shelves are stocked and there are bargains galore. Must say, some of the checkers are super stars. Most recently, Carole, checked me out - she is so lovely, smart, friendly and gracious. Hope she's "trains" new hires. I had so many obscure produce items ( 1 Chile, I special tomato, etc etc.) and she was very efficient. There's never any shopping carts when I come. And I've even had to leave the store and go back into the parking lot in the pouring rain to find my own shopping cart. Yet there was 4 people greeting me at the door. But nobody getting carts. The hand sanitizer is almost always empty. And they are almost always out of the sanitizer wipes to clean your shopping cart. Last week a Walmart employee wearing a big butcher apron was stocking the meat in the meat case, not wearing a mask and was coughing. Everything is behind locked glass and no one comes to open it when you you ring button they might come 45 minutes later but I only waited 30 minutes. Walmart pharmacy employees are uneducated and outright racist. They think people were born yesterday. I asked them to give me the Rx number so that I may transfer over the medication prescription they did not have to another store. They acted like they were brand new and did not give me the information. They saw my partners' brown skin and probably thought we did not know how things work. Called up Walgreens and they had way more knowledgeable people working. Don't shop here for pharmacy products. read more

This Walmart location is not bad. It is located in a pretty good spot and it makes it super easy to get to. It is not too far off of the freeway. I do not like driving super far off of the freeway to try to get to my stores especially when I am getting off of work and I am just trying to hurry up and get inside the store and get what I need and then get back home. This location has a Lotta parking in the parking lot as well. Most Walmarts have pretty big parking lots and this one is no different. There's tons of places for you to park and they do have a pretty safe parking lot as well. I have been to tons of Walmart parking lots in the past and you do not always feel safe getting in and out of your vehicle. Especially if you have women or small children with you. Sometimes there are some shady characters inside of a Walmart parking lot. But this location does not have that type of problem And for that I am very happy. I do not know if they have hired security. I do not think I have ever seen hired security at this location. And I have been to this location multiple times, but whatever they are doing is definitely working because the parking lot at this location is super safe. They also have really good products on the shelf. I love buying their Aquaphor cream. It is really good for my newborn baby read more

Wow... This Walmart was um "interesting." Like the other Yelper wrote; it is a fantastic place to go if you want to do some people watching a la Honey Boo Boo come to life. I didn't realize it was so backwoods in California.... I would expect a Walmart in no-mans land parts of Alabama to be like this... Friday night and it was packed. We had to stop in to pick up s'mores ingredients for our glamping trip and my friend and I quickly got our goodies and eyed the lines. Express line had 8 carts. The non express line next to it had half a conveyor belt open. Score! We quickly snuck in since people here waddled around slowly. I loaded up the conveyor belt and then realized that the behemoth of a woman in front of me was stocking up for armegeddon. She had 48 cup of noodles, a mountain of orange colored frozen dinners and a huge ass box of burritos (to match her huge heiney). She spouts off to the cashier and states: "imma gonna piss in mah pants! i need to go pee!" so she waddles off to the bathroom. I exchange looks with my friend and realize that this line didn't turn out to be so quick after all... We were definitely going to have to wait for her to waddle her behemoth butt back to pay... Ironically she had so many frozen items that by the time she waddled back, the checkout person was still scanning... which then led her to squawk "oh! you're still scanning!" which then we glanced over jealously to the express line and noticed that the 8 carts had already gone through and another 8 carts were getting rung up and giggled. Go figure for Murphy's Law to bite us in the arse. Behemoth Lady some how thought we were laughing at her and decided to turn around and cuss me out calling me a stupid B****. Wow... Classy. Sure enough. Karma bites her in her big lumpy rear. Her welfare card had 0 funds on there. Karma... Karma.... Thankfully the cashier suspended it and told her to haul ass over to customer service to deal with it. The classiest person here that we ran into was our lovely cashier. Otherwise this place was a zoo. What amazed me: 48 cups of noodles 40 frozen dinners 36 frozen burritos 4 boxes of baby wipes More frozen foods and other goods. Total for her was $120 bucks. Dirt cheap. I can't get out of Costco with less than $150 on a regular trip with waaay less stuff! I've never had a bad experience with this Walmart. They are absolutely amazing. The people, the selection, the prices, the display...I really recommend this Walmart. I would probably even go out of my way to come here as the Redding Walmart is sometimes overrun with tweakers and criminals especially late at night.
