Walmart Supercenter - Yellow Cala Lily - Grocery Near Me - Andover, Minnesota

I was wheeling my cart down the soda aisle, being the only one in the aisle. A young employee was standing on one side with his cart, not loading the aisles at the time. As I went by, I just wanted to take one six pack of soda from the shelf, and he said, "Wait a minute; I'm working here". I said, "I am just taking one thing and it is over here, not where you are working". He said, "Don't you understand the words WAIT A MINUTE? I was not interfering at all with his work and it took me two seconds to be on my way. I never report employees because I do not want to jeopardize their jobs, but I realized I had the same thing happen with him last time I was in Andover Walmart. I felt very uncomfortable after the incident and watched every aisle not to be near him again. I will not describe him physically but there have to be other complaints against him. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Power trip managers work here. Trying to get a product that was behind a locked glass case. After 10 minutes, woman finally comes by and opens it. So I told her what I needed and I saw that it was right there. And I said thank you. She screamed at the top of her lungs that she was helping another customer and I would have to wait. Of course I also reminded her that I was a customer and had been waiting 10 minutes already. She also called me a name which I won't mention here. Managers were no better. I asked for the manager and I was mad because of the way I was treated. Two managers escorted me out of the store. Even called the police to escort me out of the store as if I wasn't going to leave on my own. Very rude, disrespectful, not management material at all. Didn't care that I was treated horribly as a customer. Even followed me out into the parking lot and when I told them I'm out of your store leave me alone, especially the woman manager, kept following me anyway. Somebody needs to teach these people a remedial course in customer relations. I was in management for customer service for 30 years. I was high and by far superior and customer service to these people. I wish we could go back to the days about 20 or 30 years ago when people actually treated others with respect. I do plan on following up to see if I can get these two managers fired. As far as the other employee, maybe I should just let her keep her job as she is not bright enough to work anywhere else anyway. But I don't appreciate how I was treated. read more

Went in to purchase ink for my printer. I knew my model number and it was between 3 different ones. They were locked up of course even though they are anywhere from like $15 to $50 ( and a few feet away were lego sets for $130 to $160 a piece - not locked up- that I have actually seen being stolen by the cart full before. The guy unlocked them but would not let me look at them to find out which one I needed. He went to a chart- finds one which I did not think it was and then rings it up telling me to be sure and that the ink is non refundable. I told him I did not think it was the one but if he would just let me look I would know. He would not - told me to basically spend $5 in gas driving home to look. Wow Just wow. Get home and guess what- it was one of the 3 I wanted to look at and already told him it was one of those ( the model numbers are printed on the sides). And they want $17 an hour or more- get the hell out of here with that!!! read more

This Walmart is my go to Walmart, even though it's not as close to me as the one in Coon Rapids. The selection and variety is good, and the clearance section is awesome. The employees are all very friendly and helpful, the store is well stocked, clean, bright, and pleasant. It makes me feel just a teensy bit better about shopping at this chain. read more

Don't ever buy a firearm here. Management has no clue on store policies/state/federal laws/sub ect about the processes and transfer of purchase a firearm. The woman manager especially, had her tell me it's a federal law that they cannot sell me the firearm after Mn 5 day after notified of delay. Please go look up your Mn statues/laws. Couldn't even tell me if it's store policy that it needs to confirm with "proceed" to sell me it. If ever go buy from an actual FFL. I've learned my lesson from this place read more

This Walmart is worlds ahead of the Round Lake Walmart. It's worth the extra drive to go to this one. I frequent Target more than I do Walmart but I do go here for certain things that Target doesn't have. This Walmart has fresh produce which is a plus and a great location. The staff and people here are much better than other Walmarts in the area. I am usually greeted here by a friendly greeter when I walk in the door, the store is kept cleaner then other Walmarts and the selection of items is excellent. The store itself is pretty basic, with a warehouse type feel more than a store but prices are cheap, it's kept clean and staff is much better here than others. read more

This store is amazing! MUCH better than the other one in Coon Rapids. They have a great selection of foods, and everything is kept fresh. The store is clean, and things are easy to find as well. The location is close to our home, which is a big plus. Low prices, and with the selection, I really don't think I need to go anywhere else. This store also has more options to buy over the Target Store in Coon Rapids. Why shop anywhere else? read more
