I have memories of my aunt making pans of biscuits and cooking country ham with red-eye gravy for breakfast and making up a picnic basket for our family's roadtrip back home once our vacations ended. There weren't many fast food options in those days or we didn't have the money to eat out so often so we'd pull over at rest areas and find a covered picnic table and breakout the baskets of goodies and eat as a family, the ham and biscuits were always one of my favorites along with a piece of cold fried chicken. Frying up a pan of Thomas Brothers Country Ham and pulling a pan of hot biscuits from the oven brought back some fond memories from the good old days. The quality of this ham is exceptional it arrived ready to cook, fully trimmed and sliced to the perfect thickness. I'm sure there are a few different options on how to prepare this, I heated a heavy pan on medium to high heat dropped in a few pats of butter then the ham and cooked for less than a minute on each side not wanting to dry it out and it was absolutely perfect. If you're looking for a delicious country ham you ought to be looking at these guys...

The other week while picking up some meat Heinz's ketchup 3 for 5.50. This past week it was two for 3.00 bucks.Not a bad deal at all.Local own and ruin by a friendly staff.Can't wait for the next sale.

I didn't go inside so I have no idea what it looks like inside but the outside was typical drive through. I really just wanted to get a hot dog and had thought about this place since I drive past it a few days ago, curious about how good the food was because my experience with hole in the wall places are that they have great hot dogs. But I couldn't help but notice the signs on the menu stating they are now using BEEF TALLOW to cook with and that's a 100% chance I'm going to order the fries too and if they're using BEEF TALLOW to cook with means they are using all beef meat (REAL MEAT) burgers too, so I ordered the Burger Combo AND a Hog Dog. I ordered the cheeseburger with extra cheese, pickles and mustard and the hot dogs "all the way". That burger was THIIICK! And they use the good pickles, not the cheap full of preservatives type. And Mr. Thickums was tasty too. Seasoned just right. The only thing I would change on the burger would be the bun. It was fresh but just not as good as it could be. The fries were also thick n chunky. And looks like there is some sort of batter on them. I've never had crinkle cut fries like these and the beef tallow made them so tasty. I wish they would make it a law that restaurants had to fry in beef tallow. No more seed oils!!! Just sayin. I would come here just for the fries. And the only thing I would change on the fries is for them to be cooked just a little longer. I like mine super crunchy. These weren't soggy or undercooked in any way, it's just my preference. The hot dog was very good. The bun seemed to be a better quality bun than the burger. Was fresh and had a good chew to it. The chili on the pup was a beef chili and not greasy at all.
