This place is continually going downhill. They're out of a handful of baby items. The store in itself is dirty. Months ago they closed an entire side of their self checkouts down, and I'm not sure how long it's been now but just realized today they shut down another 3 self checkouts on the other entrance side. Instead of they have about 5 or more workers just standing at the end of each checkout aisle (even non-self checkouts) holding a phone and I assume making sure no one is stealing. What a wasted position. This place is a circus. Our checkout lane was DIRTY. The screen was covered in sticky filth making checkout annoying. A worker cut in front of 3 of us ever so blatantly. read more

It's a Walmart, what do y'all expect? This Walmart has just about everything you can imagine, a mostly "one stop shop" kind of place if that's what you're looking for. The produce here can be hit or miss, and is probably my biggest angst with any purchases I've made. The checkout lines usually move pretty quickly. They do have plenty of self checkout stands for those that do not want any personal interaction with a human, or you just have a couple items and you want to make a quick getaway. I've asked for guidance/direction a few times from employees, including the ones shopping for lazy people, and have always received amicable assistance. We like this Walmart and will continue to patronize it. read more

Walmart indo not expect top of the line service but I do expect the very basics. This store has missed the mark. I understand that this state has a lot of elderly residents, however I do expect the stores to try to accommodate the elderly and the handicap or the mobile challenged customers. I walked in the store and went to go get a handicap buggy. There was five carts lined up against the wall with the baskets for the wall so that let me know they weren't working or they weren't charged. Upon looking at it a little closer I could see that they had tied the carts together so that nobody could choose them because they were out of service. I assume they just don't work. There was one cart there that was currently charging it was dead. I don't understand having four carts in the store on the premises that just simply do not work. Why are they there? This is a great disadvantage to people who would like to shop who simply cannot walk this Warehouse. I am one of those people. I will say though that when we ask the front end agents they try their best to find a handicap cart for me. They were able to find one with 65% charge. However I had to wait sometime before that happened I just need all stores to do better when it comes to handicap buggies. We deserve to shop the same way others do as our money spends the same way. read more

We stopped to pick up a few supplies. The location is huge. There were several employees on the floor if we needed help. The produce section was decent. There were lots of beach items. The souvenir items included towels and sweatshirts. The register lines were shorter than the self checkout lines. The employees were helpful and nice. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We waited about 1 hour for our groceries to be brought out to the pick up area! No one answered the phone and no one even stopped by to communicate what the hold up was. Just awful!!! I think we'll go back to spending more money on groceries at Publix simply for the better customer service and care. In the end we cancelled our order and left. Hopefully we'll get our refund!!! I traveled to this Walmart from Bartow, FL because Walmart online said that Auburndale had the product "In Stock" that I was looking for. I arrived at 3 pm on 11/30/2023. The person over sporting goods department that day said she did see that they show the product available, but it wasn't on the sells floor. So, she went back to the storage area to retrieve them. She came back and said due to the Semi truck delivery that just came in blocked her access to the storage isle that they were on. She said that if I came back the next day 12/1/2023 by 9:30am she would be able to retrieve the items. NOT- When I made the 2nd trip back to Auburndale, she still couldn't retrieve the items due to storage area isle blockage. This is beyond poor customer service. read more

I felt upset to wait 44 minutes to pick up my order today. Even that I arrived on time to pickup my order at 12 and received two emails that it was ready, I noticed about 6 car arriving after me that were attended first. I asked to two employees about my order and nobody did anything. The excuse was that I didn't check in when I get there, but nobody asked themselves about the big truck parked in row #2 waiting for a while? Catching up on some reviews that I missed, this was a good Walmart. Little bit smaller than what we are use to. And make sure you have everything you need on your phone open and up. Because this place will take your service away. Wifi was slow to login into but once we did, we were able to use the Walmart app real quick. A lot of good deals and such, also got a confused face from the employees as we used our mobile app at self check out. read more

I had two checks to cash, one was from My dental insurance and the other from the Polk county court for jury duty. Didn't want to drive to my bank and was at Walmart so thought I would cash them there. For my Dental refund check was told No cause it had a box number, ok than from the court system was also told no that they weren't allowed to cash it also. Ok I guess the Federal and local government must not horrid there check if Walmart refused to cash them. read more

I actually really liked this Walmart very clean and the employees are friendly. First Walmart I see where people aren't fighting to get around. The lanes here are extremely wide which is a plus in my book, And my favorite part is that there are lots of registers open so check out is a lot quicker. Loved there grocery section nothing like the Walmart I'm use to going to. Great prices and big selection of items sold. Overall I had a great experience. read more

Awful customer service today most of the time I walk up and there is an older man that is working electronics and he is amazing and very helpful but today we were waiting on electronics and 2 employees that were working electronics as they were pulling the drawers from the register of the electronics section walked right past me and my wife while we were trying to get their attention and they walked away then we waited for over 20 minutes for some one to come help us (which was one of the employees that walked right past me and my wife) when they got there all they said was they couldn't open anything as the keys had been locked up it was 10:15 Walmart doesn't close until 11:00 why would you lock up the keys to the electronics. This Walmart does not have more than a couple cashiers, more than half the self-checkout are not working. When you ask why this is happening everyone looks dumbfounded or says not my job. Came into the store and no grocery baskets, had to go back out and get one in the parking lot, then noticed baskets everywhere in the parking lot. We asked the clerk at the door if they were able to call someone to get some baskets brought in for customers and he said "not his job". Many of the items on my list were not on the shelves, half caffeine Maxwell house coffee, fat free creamer, caffeine free Coke Zero. I wish this Walmart would get some good management who cares about their customers and what is needed to make it a good place to shop since what you experience in this store just shows no one has your best interest in mind and could care less. read more

This location is trash. Carts are all throughout the parking lot, shelves are rarely stocked and selection sucks. When you leave you just feel gross. Really hope this place improves as it's the closest one to us. read more

This store has really gotten bad, they won't even answer the phone, if they do, when they transfer you no one ever answers and it goes back to the operator who then puts you on hold and never comes back on again. No one is nice , never give their names, usually rude.. All my shopping with them will be on line. Shame read more

It has a really big lot but it's really busy most of the time. I'm here at 2am so it's a good time to shop. Sometimes late at night you can find produce marked down which saves a lot of the year. It's also safe lots of security and cameras outside. read more

I've been to this location probably 200+ times. Bathrooms are usually gross, hair salon clerks are very inconsistent in quality. Merchandise was rarely fronted properly but it's totally acceptable considering 80% of the time I visited anywhere from 12 to 4 am. I'd visit pretty much every other night before corona hit. After they reduced hours I almost always go to Publix now. In American culture it's taken for granted how difficult a task it is to get such a massive variety of merchandise for such low prices, and sometimes when I'd been in this Walmart at 2 in the morning browsing skincare products or alternative milk, I'll just think about that and be in mild awe. This Walmart in particular is largely consistent with any other Walmart except this Walmart has higher ceilings because it's a "super" Walmart and every time I visit another Walmart that doesn't have ceilings that are as high as the auburndale Walmart's ceilings I'll be like "hmm not quite my Walmart." read more

I know Walmart sometimes gets a bad rep, and they made or may not deserve it, however, the folks at this auburndale location are not the norm. I am not sure if they have been long time employees or not but everyone always seems willing to help you and not just point you in a direction. They actually walk over with you to help you out. That means alot and I am glad there are still helpful people that work in retail. Good job guys and keep up the good work read more

Seriously incredibly racist & rude workers. My boyfriend & i went to get his oil changed. Not only did the worker not look him in his eye, he ignored my boyfriend & i until we went to the desk & demanded an oil change. After telling is how long it would take, we took a stroll around the store & as we were looking at the shoes, my boyfriend picked up a pair. A middle aged worker literally walked up to him, snatched the shoes out of his hands, & threw them on the shelf. When we questioned her, she said "because i can". Every where else around the store, we got dirty looks, & honestly i couldnt wait to get out of there. Imagine if i had been a secret shopper. Terrible customer service. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER.! I decide to come back to get my fishing license after being told two weeks ago by someone that I would be able to get a fishing license for free for just at the shore for fresh water. But when I came an elderly worker was helping me but really took long to eventually telling me the total was 17 dollars I don't mind paying that much but I'm a busy dude and not gonna have time to always go fishing so she said " okay" and ask for assistance, this was the part I got really inpatient it took at a estimated time about 35 minutes so someone could come. Now here where I lost it someone came but doesn't seem to work there and I pretty sure he is from the tire shop he told me I wasn't gonna be able to get a free one so I just got the 17 dollar one because I was standing there for like an hour and forty five minutes straight. And the elderly woman that work there had an attitude and never said sorry for the wait.( I Don't recommend if your getting your fishing license getting help by the elderly woman with the glasses.) read more

For the most part, this is a great Walmart to shop. The aisles are uncluttered, clean and easily navigable. I don't agree with one person's review of the people shopping there are trashy, as I myself shop there and I am far from it. Just a normal, middle class working person. The store is only a few miles from home and is convenient for me. It is true that I wouldn't shop there at dusk or in the evening after it is dark and the one bad thing I would say is that their pharmacy is useless. I've had doctors call in medicines before first thing in the morning and even at 6 pm my prescription isn't ready. So for prescriptions I've transferred everything to my local Publix. read more

went to this Walmart with my child who happens to be 16 (never had any issues before) but today I was buying a bottle of wine and a 12 pack of beer along with the $150 worth of things in my cart ...me being 38 years old my daughter who has never even thought about taking a sip of alcohol moved the 12 pack in the cart .. literally moved it and I was refusing the sale of my 2 items today... seriously if I was or someone else was trying to do something suspicious don't you think we would be acting accordingly... I know Walmarts policy for alcohol and that cashier accused me of buying for my minor child ... very insulting and this said person needs to look into a job not dealing with reality and actual people!! this Walmart employee came around the corner with a massive attitude.. again never had issues here ever before...maybe you guys should think about doing a second interview process because I am literally just a mother trying to shop with her children read more

Went to this Wal-Mart (Auburndale, Fl) at 7:45 this morning. Was first in line to have a tire changed. Left car with them and strolled through the store. Hour later I returned to Service area and was told they had not even started on it. OK, I can deal with that. Went to Burger King and had a sandwich and coffee, read the paper and hour later returned to service area. They still had not started on it. Now I am a little upset. I only needed to have a tire fixed. An hour later I am paged on store intercom, I return to service area only to be told the mechanic wanted to see me. I go out into the service area and a guy asks if he can do something for me I said I was not sure I was just told to come out here. He then cops an attitude with me about my not knowing what I needed. I tell him I don't no why the hell they called me. Now he gets nasty about me swearing at him. During his agitated movements I notice his badge, turns out his name is Byrd and he is the service manager. Well now I am upset because the manager is giving me attitude so I tell him to do his job and find out what the situation is with my car since I have now been here over three hours just to get a tire fixed. I go back inside and ask to see the store manager. An assistant manager shows up, she was very nice (Beverly). I explained the situation to her, the service manager standing off to the side grumbling. Beverly investigates, apologizes and says she will take care of the problem internally. I said thanks, they then state that they don't have my tire brand and at this time I was so sick of the situation I said just put any brand on. An hour later the tire still had not been fixed so now I know they are messing with me because I complained. I tell the girl inside I need to see a manager again Still waiting....... read more

I live in Winter Haven and always prefer to shop at the Auburndale Walmart whenever I can. The store is cleaner and better stocked than most of the other Walmarts in the area. In addition, I help my church feed hundreds of needy people every Thanksgiving, and we need large boxes to transport the cooked meals. The manager and assistant manager at night are always eager to allow me to gather empty boxes around midnight when their associates are stocking the shelves. This year, Robert and Michael, were especially helpful, steering me to the cereal, the paper goods and the housewares departments. In addition, the associates in these three departments were so kind to me as I waited for them to empty large boxes. I tried to be polite and not get in their way as they did their work. We were able to carry meals to hundreds of people and served 2,758 meals on Thanksgiving to the homeless, the elderly and the ill.. Walmart in Auburndale is truly a blessing to this community. read more

BEWARE OF THIS STORE IN AUBIRNDALE. Bought a blow up mattress and took it home. Blew it up to see if I liked it and it wouldn't hold much air for very long. Had to keep blowing it up and decided just to return it for a refund and purchase another one from some where else. Was told when I got there that they would not refund me as they didn't refund on blow up mattresses. I asked why and would told it was there policy and NO reason why other than that. They have the rudest CM's I have ever incountered in my life. I worked retail for over 30 years and never would have kept my job acting like that. The place is the worst.......and rude employees.
