This store has a Target vibe in that they have decor set up to show off their merchandise. It's cool to see. We didn't find the blind package boxes of cards we were looking for. But we did pick up some groceries and batteries. Associate at cashwrap was friendly and personable. We had a good conversation while she rang up my purchases. read more

The employees need to understand without customers they won't have a paycheck. Start treating us with appreciation and professionalism. I was providing my drivers license for a medication, I tried to scan it but it wasn't working, I asked if she was able to get the information, and dropped my license on accident right in front of me on the counter. She refused to talk to me when I asked if she got my information so I actually asked why she was purposely not answering my question? No answer again so I put my drivers license back in my wallet. Then she needed my license again because she had refused to answer my completely understandable question...this happened today at approximately 2:05 today. I asked her why she was not even civil and was anything but professional. she called the pharmacy manager over, telling her I threw my license at her. Which I replied I dropped it right on counter in front and it laid there touching no one. The manager took me aside where I explained if I had purposely thrown my license, at such a short distance it would have hit her right between eyes, but it just fell to the ground. Walmart, you can be replaced!!! As a frequent customer, this is not the first time an employee of yours has been immature and unprofessional. It appears to be acceptable behavior for this store and store manager Scott. It would be greatly appreciated if someone within the executive offices would see this for its complete failure. I do order ahead pick up often. This is the only time ever I have had my order not ready in time. Not only was it not ready in time, but it was not ready at all during the timeslot that I chose. No update for why it took so long. Almost every time I have ordered ahead for pickup it is ready 15 minutes before the time slot chosen. I only have 12 things in my order, it can't be that hard to get what is needed. Then they have all their makeup locked up. The nice thing was there was an associate close by who was able to help me. No way will I ever go to this Walmart location again. I'd rather go anywhere else. read more

If you shop at Walmart Supercenter Southlands (80016), I hope you're helped by Trivana the cashier, Preston the clerk, and Angie the manager. At least those were their jobs on Saturday night, August 3rd. Checking out should've been my quickest task, but I was at the register longer than I spent shopping, and ran out the clock until past closing. It was a fiasco, but these kind people sent me on my way with almost free groceries. I was fully prepped because I had just $26.32 on a gift card, $4 of Walmart Cash (a reward), two paper dollars, and $1.40+/- in rolled pennies. My carefully curated shopping list of 14 items made the most of my funds. I finished shopping in about 20 minutes, rolled my scooter-cart up front, and loaded my goods onto the belt. All was going to plan, which is naturally why everything went pear-shaped once I tried to pay. Only AFTER all kinds of frustration with the user UN-friendly app, AFTER a line formed behind me, AFTER Walmart Pay applied my $4 Walmart Cash for partial payment, and AFTER Preston and Trivana both broke a sweat trying to help me pay the balance with my gift card, did then I learn from Angie that the Walmart powers-that-be DO NOT ALLOW combining Walmart Cash and gift cards as payment methods. What? WHAT?! Appalling! I was only prepared to use my three combined payment methods, so now what?? I imagined a few dozen pairs of eyes gawked as I resisted throwing a fit. I still couldn't help tearing up with humiliation, but also tears of anger because this entire mess just should not be happening. I'm humbled to say they eventually turned to tears of gratitude. Angie decided we should start over. She refunded my Walmart Cash and voided the sale so we could split the items across two receipts - one for Walmart Cash and real cash, the rest for gift card. Good plan, but after Preston and I broke open my penny rolls and tried to quickly count coins one by one - I suspected I was a few cents short - I THEN discovered the refunded Walmart Cash was not yet available as a payment method. I now had $4 less than when I entered the store! Evidently, the refund isn't instant. Because of course it isn't. I figured we should just void $4 worth of stuff, pay for the rest with my gift card, and be done, but the system wouldn't work that way. Before I could stop him -- who was now off the clock but sticking around just to help me! -- Preston swiped his own debit card to cover the missing Walmart Cash! More tears flowed, and more assurances from my three angels that it would be fine. With my best-laid shopping plan falling to pieces, I gave in. I surreptitiously blotted snotty nose and shoved the pile of pennies over to Trivana. At least I could do that much. Then I went to pay the remainder on the second receipt, but finding the gift card as a payment method in the app proved challenging. Of course! While struggling with that, little did I know Angie had already decided to comp the rest of my purchase. I protested that I hadn't paid yet, that I had always intended to pay! I felt a little like a thief with all they were doing. Angie and Trivana waved it off, assuring me it was all good. Cue full blown ugly, sobbing cry. She had Preston fill up my brought-from-home grocery bags. That's when I noticed a jar of relish never made it onto the belt. I started to give it to Trivana for restocking, but she whispered that I should just return it to my cart, which I did reluctantly. More sanctioned "theft"! Then Preston asked if I had someone at home to help unload my bags. That kid was offering to show up at my house and unload my groceries for me! I told him my husband was in the car and it would be fine, but WOW. With my $26.62 gift card still intact and the refund of my $4 of Walmart Cash pending, I rolled out to my car, weeping all the way, drawing way more stares than back at the register. I just told the people that the folks at the register were very nice to me, as though that explained my state in any way, LOL. I must have reminded Preston of his grandma or something because I could see his heart was breaking for me. At one point in this whole ordeal, I told him, "Young man, be sure you start preparing for your retirement NOW, because this is what it's like to try to live on just social security. You have to literally save up pennies and let your loved ones send gift cards for food." I guess that really made an impression on him. I knew Angie's decision was partly because it wasn't worth their time to count pennies, and they probably have a certain amount of loss built into their accounting system for times like this, but I also know she didn't have to do this for me at all. This Walmart location is now where I've had both my worst shopping experience ever (another tearful story) and my absolute most heartwarming shopping experience. So remember Trivana, Preston, and Angie at the Southlands Walmart Supercenter. They are awesome! read more

I hate this Walmart with every being in my body. First there's always this Karen at the entrance that always complain about my small 8lb dog in the shopping cart. Didn't know she's the cart lady, seriously the cart is already dirty and my dog is cleaner than their shopping cart. Second trying to get a worker with a key takes forever. They're so good at hunting down thief but can't never hunt down a worker for customers. Literally almost everything is locked shouldn't they give employees more access to those so called keys. Third, I've waited for 15 minutes and they couldn't get it to open. I waited for nothing. Friday night they should have more check out lanes open. Take forever for just 4 items. Got singled out at the door by a cashier who signaled to the greeter to check my receipt. This was done loud enough everyone within 30 feet looked up it was like being accused of stealing something. Reality was I combined 10 bags of 1 or two items at most into 3 properly packed bags. In the last few months it seems like they are always out of inventory. Doesn't matter if it's middle of the day or night! There was a time when they did not have a loaf of white bread. None! No matter who the manufacturer was, no loaf of white bread. On another occasion, the only vanilla ice cream they had was mega expensive. Clearly, I like simple things! Lol! Vanilla ice cream and white bread! But a Walmart should have these things in stock. And you'll notice when you walk through the grocery area there is a ton of space on the shelves where food should be. Unless I missed the warnings for the potential hurricane coming and therefore didn't stock up like everyone else, or the grocery manager is new and does not know how to maintain inventory. Update: as I read some of the other reviews, I'll add that $5 lotion being locked up is a pain in the butt and has actually caused me to make other choices. And there are a lot of times when there is no cashier and everyone has to self check out. I don't mind that so much, but I'm not part of the cashiers union and when I have a lot of stuff, I don't want to ring it up myself! read more

Most awful experience. First off the scanning your own groceries is such a joke so much so me and my husband and I just watched someone scan over 100 dollars worth of groceries and get a blank receipt. We proceed to scan our groceries and of course get stopped at the door by an elderly and clearly glorified "security" guard. Checked our receipt said we didnt pay for diapers we explain the situation with the self check not printing correct receipts and even the attendant at the self checkout explained that to us. Still went back and paid for the diapers twice she looks over receipt again and now says she cant find the wipes. Mind you we just spent over 300$ here im not trying to steal a box of wipes or diapers. So instead of dealing with her yet again we went to the opposite exit where the attendant checked our receipts and let us go along our way. This other elderly door attendant thats name started with C proceeds to HUNT us down in the parking lot, demanded my wipes from husbands hands and continues to harass us. Why you ask? We dont fit social norms is all we can think of. I honestly feel this woman stereotyped me and my husband as we look younger, have large tattoos, and large gauges in our ears. The fact this women hunted me and my family, harassed us out of groceries we PAID for, and was extremely ageist against my family has traumatized me. I felt my infant daughter as well as my husband and I were threatened and harassed by this associate . Will never step foot here again unless its apology from that bitter, rude, old woman. read more

We purchased $286 dollars worth of items and it took us less time to shop than to wait in line! Seriously! When finally checking out I told the cashier to let a Mgr know that 24 minutes is a ridiculous wait time- ANYTIME. She said people buy too many items and that's why the wait is so long... On May 17th I did an online grocery order for pickup. After I got home and unloaded all the groceries I realized I was missing 11 items! I called Walmart and after being on hold for almost 15 min I finally was able to talk to an associate. She was assured me in 3-5 days the money from the missing items would be refunded in 3-5 days. It is now May 31st and I have yet to see my money! As I write this I am on hold to speak to someone regarding this issue. So far I have been on hold for 17 min! I'm highly disappointed with their customer service! Never again will I utilize their business. If I can't get someone on the phone today I'll be heading to the store tomorrow!! read more

I ordered an Xbox series s and they canceled it at the last second after I had already showed up at the store saying they were all out. I had already paid for it though and now my money is tied up and I don't have a console to place video games on. My view would be different if it said out of stock online but it didn't. So I ordered one and got screwed. They are incompetent. I am so mad they wasted my time and tied up my money. I want to litigate and after the weekend is over I will be contacting lawyers. read more

Over all, the store is clean, but that does not make up fort he very rude customer service provided by the employees. Every time I am in this store, I am treated like a common thief by the door greeter who thinks it is her job to re-scan EVERYTHING I purchased as I am leaving the store. The pharmacy here is terrible. Had a scrip sent there 2 days ago and this morning they treat me like garbage when i ask to pick it up an hour after they open. They speak down to you on phone and in person. I've also noticed they are often busy socializing instead of helping waiting customers. They always seem overwhelmed and behind and then they mistreat customers. I'm going to switch to a new pharmacy and will just do all my shopping there as well. read more

My rating and review is specific to the curbside grocery pickup. Normally I'm a King Soopers kind of gal but when I just don't have the time to go grocery shopping, I appreciate the convenience of Walmart's online shopping system. Anyway, I've lived near this Walmart for almost a year now and every time I go to pick up my groceries, I'm waiting for at least 20 minutes, sometimes even longer (other Walmarts I've been to have your groceries in your car in 5 mins tops), the employees just kind of mosey around with no real sense of awareness and twice they forgot over half my order (and when I called about it they acted annoyed, didn't even offer an apology). It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but I'm fed up y'all. And no, don't think it's because they're busier than usual given COVID-19. They've always been this way. Not pleased what so ever as to how the night staff at this 24 hour Walmart treated me. Me and a couple of co workers stoped by to grab so essentials when i slipped on the floor over by camping. No signs no wet floor just a very slippery floor. Some one came over and asked me and my co-workers to "stop messing around" then i came across a manager "who did not seem like she was in the best mood" and explained what had happened when she said "our store is not a playground or a hang out spot" this is very rude and unprofessional no one dared to ask if i was okay at all i have bruises running down my leg and arm after hitting the floor hard and no one at this location handled it in a professional matter. I don't mind this store, but every time we get an oil change no one is ever friendly, it feels like we're bothering them when we show up...not a warm, welcoming feeling. Also, the two times I called for the auto department and got transferred, no one ever answered. I tried again for the third time and it rang forever...finally someone had answered. I had gotten an oil change, but they had forgotten to add the windshield wipers fluid...had to come back :-/ However, the gentleman that helped me was very nice! Thank you!! read more
