I first stopped in this place two months ago. I just happened to be in the area and went to buy groceries. I was surprised that the prices on many things were cheaper here than in the Sierra Vista store, where I normally shop. The aisles were clean and people respected each other. It's a smaller store and they have less of everything than the one in Sierra Vista, but there's always a cashier to help you out. I stopped in again yesterday, coming back from Tucson. ughhh this is probably one of the worst walmarts to go to. first let me start off by saying ive had three really bad experiences with the workers but the worst one ive had was with a coach? or something like that anywayssss i was looking around waiting for my friend in the bathroom so i walk around looking at purses, and when i look at the purses i start to get followed by the coach or wtv she is and then like 3 minutes later shes still following me and then she gets another guy to follow me so i confronted her and she told me to leave the store without any explanation or reason, all because i was asking her if she thought i was stealing? it was so uncomfortable and im very well aware that is not what they are supposed to make you feel like especially if they are higher up than an average employee, so if i was you, save your time and money and don't come to this place thank youuu read more

This store is well maintained and organized. The employees are helpful. The groceries are so so and could be improved to serve those in the community. what a horrible store. placed an online order for pick up next day. at exactly pick up time, i got an email saying delayed. pick up person got no notification. store could care less if someone is already on their way ... to make things worse, an hour later this store cancelled my entire order including items that were to be delivered outside of walmart. ??????? now i am still waiting with no refund and no updates and my account just says they will email me if it is approved for cancellation??? what?? i didnt cancel it. called walmart. com and no help. so they have my items and my funds and i have to wait to purchase elsewhere. you take stupidly to a whole new level and should be ashamed of yourselves !!! these were christmas items!!!! never again will i do business with this store. they are clueless! read more

First, what I don't like: It can be difficult to find what you're looking for. For example, in the food area there are three different places pasta might be and, when I asked for help for what I specifically was looking for, the employee had no idea. Because things can be difficult to locate, it would be great to have little computers around the store which customers can use to look up items and find their locations. Must the string beans be placed in large bags? I'm a single person, and I don't need that many. The same with some of the other kinds of produce. And how about some smaller green cabbages? I don't need one the size of my head. And now what I do like: Most of the employees are well-trained (other than in relation to finding pasta) and kind. They seem to be oriented around helping people. In my experience, no matter how busy they are, if you ask a question, they stop and help. I love self-checkout, especially in relation to that I can see that I am being charged for the correct fruit or veggie and that I can see to it that my items needing refrigeration are packed other items needing refrigeration and my bananas don't end up under the cans of cat food. In my experience, the fruits and veggies are almost always fresh and are almost always in stock (unlike at Safeway). I almost never return anything. When I have to return something, the folks at the return counter are always helpful and nice. Definitely not everything at Walmart is cheap. But it is generally cheaper than Safeway, and I appreciate that! read more

I highly recommend their curbside pickup. It is fantastic and I've only had one time where my order was late out of like ten orders I've done. Lived here since BEFORE Benson Walmart. Today took the cake. Big dog piss in the isle for people to push their cart through. Children or people to slip and injur themselves. Not the dogs fault. I've been going to this Walmart for a very long time and it has very progressively gotten worse over the years but today was when I had it with this Walmart, I made two separate transactions on the self checkout because I run a business and had to purchase supplies for it. Nobody stopped us at the door to ask for receipts like they usually do at most Walmarts and a greeter named Emily decided to follow me and my girlfriend out to my car to accuse us of stealing. Walmart in general has declined in quality and service ever since Sam Walton died. His vision of good products only made in America being sold in his stores seems to have disappeared just like a lot of merchandise has from their shelves. Look at Walmart.com and just set up an order of items you from the local store. When you first search for, forks, you'll see a large variety of forks. But if you want to pick them up from Walmart or if you go shopping in store for those items, you'll be miffed and upset as you see that rather large amounts of the items are not present. Turns out, most of their inventory can only be purchased online Walmart in Benson has a pickup option if you don't have time or don't want to shop the aisles yourself. The pickup option is free, unless you choose to purchase Walmart+. Simply shop for your items online. Make sure you hit the 'pickup' button to ensure you get a selection of items available for pickup. This Walmart does not have a delivery option. But Benson is not that large as to put anyone out. Some items are available for shipping, but you'll have to wait 2-3 days to get them. After making all your choices, go to checkout. You must use either a debit or credit card, a gift card, PayPal or Affirm. The last choice allows you to pay over 4 installments interest free, if approved. You must also choose the time you want to pickup. Some people choose their time first then shop. This works if you can quickly choose your items as you have only roughly 50 minutes to finish your shop. I rather do my shopping first, take my time, then opt for a pickup time. Hint:***I like to shop late at night because I don't feel rushed and just about every pickup time is still available when I'm ready to checkout. *** You can opt to allow all items to be substituted if not available or only select items. Walmart is great at choosing substitutes and they almost always don't charge you the difference if they pick a higher priced item for your missing item. About an hour prior to pickup time, you'll get an email indicating if you have any substitutions. If you don't get this notification, you don't have any. If you do, follow directions on email to see the substituted items and to approve or reject them. You'll get a other email (and text if you opt in) saying your items are ready for pickup. I have the Walmart app. With this, I simply drive over to the Walmart store, and check in via app once I'm there. It has me indicate my parking spot number and vehicle color. Someone from the staff arrives in under 5 minutes with the order. They load up your vehicle after proper identification and you're on your way. Easy peasy lemon squeezey. On 6/19 I had purchased 2 10lb bags of bird seed and a 16lb bag of cat food. While I was at the self checkout with my wallet out and card in the slot trying to pay a woman in street clothes walks up to me and starts talking. I have no idea who she is and ask her to "go away" in a calm normal voice. The person training her says " YOU CAN'T TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!". She then went and got a manager I hadn't asked for. She brought out "Alex" who simply took her side and started berating me for talking to the trainee like that. Now I am 68yrs old with spinal stenosis for over 20yrs and I am terribly bent over looking at the ground and am in pain 24hrs of the day. This supposed manager never asked First, if I was ok, Second, what was my side of what happened. Third, NO ONE ASKED ME IF THEY COULD HELP ME WITH MY PURCHASES ! I'm writing again. I wish that they would ask everyone for their receipt not just a select few. Again my husband was at the store without me and my husband was in the self check out with our 3 year old. There were three walmart employees there and my husband was the only one that was asked to see a receipt. This is a constant thing. If I go hes never asked. Just put someone at the exit door like every Costco and Walmart instead of just hassling one person. Also fix you name tags so that we can see your names because that is shady. read more

If you are a person of color do not shop at this Walmart shop at the Safeway 30 seconds down the street. Every time I shop at this Walmart the employees stand at the foot of my cart and watch you scan every single item that you had despite if every single other register has somebody at the self check out they will stand there and watch you scan every single item. I have repeatedly been called the N-word while shopping there I have had a gun flashed in my face I've had customers call me the N-word as I walked by them and when I tell employees all they say is "I'm sorry I know". And if you talk to the managers nothing happens because they are also racist so do not shop here. And if that's not enough the produce is always rotting the meat is always frozen and brown I was in there last week and found chicken with green spots on it do not shop here they get the worst shipping deliveries which I understand is not their fault but why are you putting it on the floor it looks disgusting it smells disgusting in there all the time and the employees are rude as heck. read more

If you decide to buy alcohol in this location be sure that every person I your group is of age and has an id. I am 52 yrs old and my wife is 54. We had a cart full of groceries and a bottle of wine. My wife didn't bring her id as I was driving. Your local alcohol Nazi would not sell us a bottle of wine because we had only 1 id and I was paying. This is very arbitrary and not with in the requirements of the law. So....for me....it the last Tim I will be screwed with by this business. It is far easier to drive to Sierra Vista and shop Food City....tho store will never sell me even a stick of gum in the future. To walk in the door again means simply that I may jab the opportunity for the below Nazi to somehow effect my life again. read more

I had been complaining to management for months because I noticed their produce was always MOLDY. They would pretend to take it off the shelves while I was there, but when I would return a few days later it was as if they had put all the bad, rotten, moldy produce back on the shelves. Then one day, I witnessed a large dog urinate on a potato bin. A few aisles later, I was asked if I wanted to pet the goats. Yes, there were farm animals in the grocery section of the store. I complained, but management did nothing except for call me on the phone to accuse me of having a problem with "service animals". This was the last straw for me. I am no longer a customer. Consuming anything out of this store is considered a health hazard in my opinion. read more

Who on earth spends time on rating a Walmart on Yelp? I never have but had to do it this time, because every person working in this store is friendly and happy to be in it. I walked into it around midnight, and everybody smiles and greets you and asks if they can help. Coming from California or Texas, this is actually a life changing experience. I think Walmart would be an entirely different concept if every store in this country managed to recruit cool people like this. This is by the nicest Wal Mart I've ever shopped at. The store has a great selection, the parking lot, inside the store, entrance etc...are very clean. All the employees that I have encountered are super nice, well groomed, helpful & seem like that are happy with their positions. These are really great things for a small town like Benson.
