I was trying to purchase a vacuum cleaner. The prices were hard to link to the specific cleaners because their were multiples by the same maker with similar names. I stood and tried to match them up and do due diligence. I looked at the names, branding, pictures (tried to match coding numbers but not possible) and how they were lined up). It seemed the one I choose was $256. When I got to the check out it rang up $398. They got a manager. I offered to get out of line and go back with her to show her what I saw that made me believe the price was $256. She said no to stay put. She came back with one picture on her phone but it did not show what I saw. So again I offered to get out of line and go back with her so we could straighten it out. Again I was told no to stay put. She came back with more pictures and I showed her in the pictures what I saw and how the names were different on the boxes and how things lined up. She told me it didn't matter that they were different products and the one I had in line was the higher price. She didn't offer to help me switch them out for the one I wanted, just had me standing there with a huge growing line and people standing staring telling me I had to pay the higher price. I was feeling on the spot and just told her I would pass and left the store without a vacuum cleaner. If she had just taken me back to the department when I offered we could have resolved it privately and she could have helped me get the vacuum I needed. Instead, I was made to stand out there in front of everyone holding up the line and left being told I had to pay for a $400 vacuum cleaner. read more

My honest opinion of this Walmart is that it's a poorly managed retail giant! Here's how it works to their advantage. Shelf prices on a lot of occasions don't match or even get close to the price at checkout. Example: A mom with two or three children with a buggy full of groceries can't remember what the cost of a particular item is. Ever tried shopping at Walmart with kids in tow? I have and it usually is the epitome of distraction! The managers know that moms with these little tag alongs are not likely to endure another trip there over a few bucks! That's the game as I see it. On the other hand I asked a stocker there about pricing errors and he told me that prices on goods go up faster than they can change them! Hopefully I'm wrong in my assumption! I don't want to be right in this instance! But clipping two thousand customers a day for five bucks apiece is a lot of profit for the company not to mention weeks after weeks of this practice! No other retailer has done more studies on shopping behavior than Walmart! They understand the shopping game! read more

Self check lady was rude and demanded to see some of the items I scanned and I kindly obliged. She then forced me to go to a cashier and all but accused me of stealing. I waited in line for an additional 20 minutes for a cashier to rescan all my items. I spent over $250 and am a weekly shopper. I had the manager check my self scan checkout and she reviewed and found nothing suspicious. I overheard one of the other cashiers say that the self check lady needed to be "put on a leash" and that I was the 3rd person today she targeted. It was 10:00 am. read more

Walmart in Boiling Springs, SC- you are a disgrace. I hope that Target puts you out of business. I did not order from you, but my order got rerouted to you. You are one of the most poorly managed (mind you, I'm using the word managed, not lead because a leader would not allow years of issues continue). This is the second order I've placed this year that got sent to you and you continue to disappoint with not being able to deliver the order within 12 hours of the original window that you set (not me, you). Not only that, you do not have anyone available to help me figure out what to do, how to plan my weekend, and if I cancel, guess what, my money is tied up for a week while you process the refund. I vowed last time to never shop at your location again, and somehow your online system rerouted my order to you. We even spoke to someone and they said, come pick it up, we arrive only to find that said person won't come out to speak with us, and instead sends out a picker who offers a $20 gift card and to say it's not ready. How? It already shows my weight adjusted items and that it's ready to pick up with shortages and substitutions that I approved. How?! I'd rather spend triple at another retailer than ever spend a dime in this Walmart again. Please everyone share- they need to be shut down. read more

Woooh a Wal-Mart review! It's funny that I haven't stepped into one in ages and I found everything I needed for my Spartan Ultra Race back in November. I needed jackets, snacks, hydration, buckets, gloves, food... It generally had the best prices for what I was looking for near Spartanburg! It was super cold when I arrived in the area, but the cold gear I found was sufficient. When you just visiting a new town, you can safely bet that Walmart most likely will have it. They even have souvenirs for their colleges inside. The quality of the deli items is something left to be desired however. Specifically the salads and sandwiches. I was reliving my undergrad Walmart shopping runs more than a decade ago. You'll find it at Walmart! read more

The 2nd shift girl in dairy was rude to me for opening the eggs to make sure they weren't cracked. She yelled at me and I told her to get a manager. When the manager came over I told him ( I believe his name was Brian) what happened and that she demanded that I buy the eggs I had opened to check. She said she already checked them and none were cracked so I showed the manager that the carton I had in my hand had 2 cracked eggs. He told me I could check them all I liked and then called her to the back. I appreciate the way he handled the situation. read more

I want everyone to know that you can go in there and steal or tear stuff up and make a mess but you are not allowed to buy a phone case.
