Dillard's was our entrance and exit into the mall today and it was nice to have such a high expectation met. Dillard's is top line couture and the prices show it. I'm amazed that people will spent $248 for a sweater but that's what they're selling here. The store is very tidy, well stocked and neatly laid out. I needed a blue blazer for work meetings. I went to Saks Fifth Avenue, where I had gotten one before, and Bloomingdale's (obviously, neither was in Greenville), and was hit with complete sticker shock. I then went to the Dillard's website and found the EXACT SAME Hart Schaffner Marx blazer that I had seen at Bloomingdale's, for a fraction of the price, along with a Ralph Lauren blue blazer (also sold at Bloomingdale's), also for a fraction of the price. I ordered both online and they are both absolutely perfect. Both are among the best-looking pieces of clothing that I've ever had, both were shipped quickly and I got 2 for less than the price of 1 at Bloomingdale's. The Haywood Mall store has gotten really nice, too. Certainly the highest-end department store in Greenville, and certainly on par with big-city high-end department stores. The selection and service are very good. Except for the new credit card. I set up my account with Citi several days ago, and I called customer service (which was a guy on a cellphone that kept breaking up) but after trying to login every day, I still can't get in. I'm getting an error msg "something isn't right, either the userID or the password" but my computer saved both when I setup my account so I think something is wrong with the website. read more

This Dillard's is nice. The women's shoe department is huge. The costume jewelry selection is great! And there are always a good selection of clearance items. I love Louis Vuitton and the selection of vintage pieces is much better at than the Myrtle Beach and North Charleston stores. The associates were friendly and helpful. They have summer accessories like underwater cameras, pineapple shaped mugs, and floatie drink holders. These items are adorable and make great gifts! read more

I was shocked at the state of the dressing rooms at Dillards today. It looks like they haven't been cleaned in months. Most of the hooks have fallen off and haven't been replaced. I was holding like 6 items of clothes in my hands and the woman working in the woman's clothes section was on the phone (clearly with a family member) for at least 10 minutes. She paid no attention to me. A woman finally walked up to me and asked if she could put my items in a fitting room. She explained that it was her day off but she didn't want the woman (on the phone) to lose a sale. At least there are people working there who will go above and beyond. The carpeting in the entire woman's section needs to be replaced or steamed. It's pretty gross. I bought a few things despite all of this. There were two things they didn't have in my size and they are having them shipped to me. read more

My wife and I stopped in 30 minutes before closing to kill time before eating at the Cheesecake Factory. I was hoping to buy a pair of Cole Haan shoes, but the salesperson was incredibly passive aggressive. I asked to try on two pairs of shoes and both times he brought one shoe out instead of the pair. He was very short with me when I asked to try on the smaller size, and didn't bring the smaller size out for the second pair. Instead he tried to get me to purchase the larger size which I told him were too big. I've worked retail and was pretty surprised with this complete disregard for the most basic level of customer service. read more

After receiving no service from Men's Warehouse, I took my 18 year old son to Dillards to shop for a sports coat. We entered the Men's department and were very quickly greeted by Vince Adams, the department manager. Vince was so helpful, through and quick, I ended up buying a sports coat, dress shirt and dress pants in the same amount of time I had preciously stood around Men's Warehouse waiting on anyone to acknowledge my presence. Vince really knows how to take care of his customers. I will go to see Vince at Dillard's Men's Department from now on for all my suits and clothing needs. Way to go Vince! read more

She was a beautiful African-American woman that had such a pleasant attitude and inspiring smile. I bought a Murano fest in pant combo at the Dillard's in the Haywood Mall Greenville South carolina. This woman treated me as if our family. It meant a lot to me and I could not wait to get home to write a review on her. She should be reviewed and placed in management. Oh my God!! I'm from the north and it's been so hard for me to find a department store that sells decent clothes, I been looking for a formal gown for my daughter's sweet 16 (for myself not my daughter). I went to David's bridal, Belk, Macy's, JC Penney and nothing, my husband told me we'll go to New York a day early to buy my gown then while I was doing my highlights and talking to my hair dresser about it she recommended to go to Dillard's so we did, I have to tell you, when I got to the second floor with my husband, I was like a little girl in a candy store, I started grabbing all the gowns I like to try them on and passing them to my hubby to hold them, he was just looking at my how happy I was lol Finally after all the ones I tried, it was this special silver gown by Ralph Lauren that was calling my name, I couldn't resist and I didn't care how much it was, I got my gown, my shoes too, they are to died for, high heels but very comfortable and so does my husband got few dress shits and slacks, very nice and good quality clothing, well worth it. read more

Large selection of name brand women's and men's clothes, colognes, shoes, household items and decorations. They carry tall clothing in most sizes which places them on top of my list. It is a little pricey but you're dealing with name brands. Also, if you catch a sale you can save a few bucks. This is my go to store. read more

Few months ago, I was looking for a particular nail polish. I saw the colors while I was shopping in Vegas, and the counter clerk told me that they are sold out. That made me even want it more. So, I was on a hunt to find it. I searched it online, they're on back order. I checked Macy's, they're unavailable. I went to Belk, their customer service was a bit disappointing. THEN, from Belk's Chanel counter, she recommended Dillards. Without much hope, I walked over. First of all, their customer service at the beauty department was amazing. They too were out of the item. I was disappointed, and I really wanted to purchase their sample item., but the young gal working at the clerk was extremely helpful, tracked a bottle of it at one of their other department store. Ordered it, and had it shipped to me. I know it's not a big deal, I could've waited for the online order. But the fact of the matter is, these people are in sales, and they should be helpful selling the product. Not just turn a sale down because it's unavailable. To me, it's a big deal. read more

Horrible customer service. Refused to allow a return on a purse purchased under false pretense and sold deceptively. Never at any point of the sale did they indicate that all sales are final. Pressured to purchase purse. Told they can just look up the account info online to purchase didn't need to wait on the credit card to come in the mail and to please let them know when I was coming in to make sure they receive the sale. Once sale was made never told the purse was final sale. The receipt doesn't state that either. The receipt states you can return in 30 days! Nothing indicating not being able to return this purse. Reason for wanting to return it, is I did my own research on the purse when I realized the duster was not the brand name duster. When I called for clarification, an explanation was not given. So I googled and realized Dillard's does not have a partnership with the name brand and they are selling used purses. This info was not disclosed at the time. They indicate that there are signs stating this.. but the purse was not purchased in the purse section. I assure you if it were and I saw the signs, the purchase would not have happened. Came in the next day to return. All of a sudden all sales are final. The receipt says otherwise. I will be filing a final complaint with corporate. read more

One of the top Department stores at Haywood Mall. Selection is very strong for mens items on the 1st floor. Women's is on the second floor. It's incredible some of the sales they have here if you can catch them. On my visit there were items that were already marked down 25-40%. With your Dillard's card they were providing an additional 40% off. Not sure how they can sell so cheap but there are not interested in keeping old inventory! Pretty sweet deals. Items offered are your more premium brands but they do have their own Dillard's name brand. Usually when I walk through I have some service clerks ask if I need help. On this visit some of the clerks looked insanely bored and half asleep. However a few others were kind and offered help. read more

very upscale store. Reminded me of Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. I liked this store and had a wonderful woman help me in Customer Service and another on the floor. There are bargains here if you take the time to search. Not as friendly as Macys though. Being from NY, I've shopped everywhere. My advice to management would be, since you're portraying yourself as an upscale department store, perhaps your salespersons' attire might need to be upgraded. I only saw three salespersons dressed very tastefully. Salesmen might want to consider wearing a jacket, Saleswomen should be attired professionally, they are after all the face of the store. read more

I bought a Christmas gift when I was in town. The shirt I chose was for my boyfriend. When I got home a snap was missing. I called to get a replacement and heard nothing. I live a few states away, with no Dilliards. It was a $60 shirt and now I have no gift to give and a shirt I will have to pay to return. I'm very disappointed. They should have checked the shirt before they wrapped it up and the Manager should have taken care of this issue for me. read more
