Wal-Mart's "Always low prices" are average at best at this location - on par with the K-Mart next door and the Target just 2 miles away. And without low prices to get me in the door, I really have no incentive to put up with the store's awful service and shoddy atmosphere. This Wal-Mart is plagued by a lack of cashiers, and the ones who are on duty are painfully slow. I thought Wal-Mart graded their cashiers on speed. If so, it seems like nobody wants to be the one to raise the bar for the others. The store also doesn't seem motivated to call more cashiers up to the front when lines get long. Even at the pharmacy, which at least has its own cash register, the pharmacist was the most distant and disinterested I've dealt with. He could barely spit out the medication instructions fast enough before turning away. Fortunately the labels were more clear than his directions. The K-Mart, which is in walking distance, has an awkward feel - the feel of a store that is patiently waiting for death - but I honestly prefer to shop there. It at least feels clean, if hollow, and the cashiers move at a decent pace. Or if I feel like braving Route 70 to get to Target, I can get a bright, clean, and open atmosphere at a store that isn't afraid to call extra cashiers to the front when needed. And if I need a pharmacy, there is a Walgreens in the same lot as Wal-Mart, there is a Pathmark next to the K-Mart, and Target has a pharmacy as well. I am honestly not sure why I would go back to this Wal-Mart. read more

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Store is filthy. Employees are awful and just don't care. The people who work at the deli counter are AWFUL!!!!! They are so slow and move at a snails pace. The managers hang out in the front by the registers socializing. They should try venturing out into the store to see what the employees are actually doing while they're supposed to be working and asking shoppers how their experience is. The whole place, store and staff, needs a clean sweep. read more

Terrible. Their in store pick up is a headache and a half. Ordered a TV and wall mount online for in store pickup on Monday. Got a confirmation email and it said to wait for another one confirming the items were ready to be picked up. Also signed up for text alerts. On Tuesday I got an email saying my order was delayed and not to head to the store yet. This was not unusual as it was right after Black Friday. The week goes by and nothing - no emails or texts confirming my order is ready. On Sunday morning I receive an email stating that my items were never picked up in time so my order was cancelled and refunded. After calling the Brick store multiple times (and being hung up on once) I finally got connected with someone at pickup, who simply told me they probably never had it to begin with and there was nothing they could do. i am disabled and have no transportation, therefore i shop on line. i have had so many problems with orders, and customer service can't seem to get much right. the latest is an item missing from an order. i get an email telling me if i return the item, i can get a refund!!!! will i ever get an intelligent representative? read more

Every time we come here we have a decent experience. However today was a TERRIBLE experience. Had to get some things on my shopping list. We had one thing left on the list, a lock, after 20 minutes of searching I wanted to ask a staff member about the location of the lock. Was searching for another 20 minutes when we finally found a staff member, he also did not know where the lock was and then searched for it. What really made me annoyed was when he was interrupted by another customer and went off with him and totally ignored me. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT! Finally a CUSTOMER helped me find the lock which was located at the corner of the store. Left extremely annoyed. Even thought it may be a little more go to Target a few miles down the road. read more

I shop at the Brick Walmart every week. I would say I spend about 400 per month there (or more). When it first opened as a super Walmart, it was great, now its poorly run. Tons of cash registers, but no workers! I was forced to go through the "self Checkout" with a complete basket full because they had 2 registers open and the line was down the aisles. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she was a "no show" to the front of the store. However there were many security folks there standing around checking everyone's receipts with a fine tooth comb like we are all criminals. Amazon is going to get a lot more of my business! This is a place you go to because you have to, not because you want to. A step up from Kmart, but a step down from Target. The aisles are always cluttered, and the renovation is taking too long. The parking lot is cut in half, and has awkward turns, which will hopefully improve once the renovation ends. The selection is so-so, the patrons creep me out, and the employees, for the most part, leave a lot to be desired! read more

My wife just told me a story about a couple in their 80's forgot one of their grocery bags. The cashier yelled at to the manager to stop the man in the blue shirt or go bring him his bag. The manager's reply was, " I'm not doing that, my back hurts" . I hope that this review finds it's way to someone at their organization who can teach their management in their retail store what customer service is and hold them accountable for the terrible job they are doing there. read more

THE WORST WALMART EVER! Just horrible, on August 7, 2018 @ approximately 4:30 PM it took more than 50 minutes to check out on register #8. The cashier was NOT the problem, he was fast, efficient and courteous. The cashier turned on the blinking problem light for over 15 minutes, no one came to help him, he and the customer had to wave there arms and shout for another employee's attention. Almost an hour to check out is unacceptable, very few registers were open, all the lines were very long, even the self check out line was long. I spoke with several customers who were in line with me and all shared the same sentiments. THIS STORE NEEDS TO BE PURGED ! MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO BE SHAKEN UP! HIRE SOMEONE PLEASE! read more

Stay away from the Pharmacy Department. I would think twice before submitting your Prescription at the Brick, NJ Walmart. My experience is that we submitted a prescription prior to lunch and were told to come back after their lunch period and came back around 3 PM. We were told that we needed to come back in April to pick up the prescription without giving a proper reason and the girls behind the Pharmacy counter were very rude. They kept telling us to come back in April. My mom was just discharged from the hospital with that prescription so she can get the medicine for her treatment. They did not want hear anything and told use we have no record of her here. Since, we were using that Brick NJ Walmart pharmacy for several years. I requested the prescription back and went to another Pharmacy in Howell NJ. The pharmacist in Howell NJ within 5 minutes told us the situation as to why the prescription could not be filled today, instead of giving us the run around. If the Walmart Pharmacy in Brick NJ would have told us that a prescription was filled by the Hospital which was preventing them from filling the medicine. If I knew the situation up front than I can talk to Hospital Monday morning to get her medication so her treatment can continue. With Walmart telling me to come back in April, that would have left her without medication for 3 weeks. I am most likely going to report my experience to the better business bureau because the Walmart Pharmacy in Brick NJ do not have the proper protocols in place and are putting patient lives at rick read more

Stay away once the sun goes down. When the sun goes down the area's finest creatures come out to play and they only open one or two checkout isles so you're forced to mingle. Kinda reminds me of "the hills have eyes" During the day, the store serves its purpose, but doesn't exceed expectations. read more

The worst store for fish!!!!!!! I bought a black moor from this shop and it came weak and practically half dead. Not even 5 hours pass and it dies right in front of me. Pathetic!!!! Never buy or support their fish sales as they are low quality fish with even lower quality living standards where they pack 40 in a 20 gallon!!!!! read more

Walmart is the worst! Don't forget your quarters to unlock a cart, the cashiers will not break a dollar for you and force you to go to CS, which has a line of 10 people and doesn't move. I was picking up a few things in the deli department tonight. I will start by saying the boy cutting meat looked like he hadn't even showered. He left and one person came on. There were 4 people waiting (including myself) with only one person cutting meat. The deli was an absolute disgrace. There was meat and cheese left out, shavings of meat and cheese scattered all over the meat cutting machines and counter, scraps of paper, plastic, and old plastic bags all over the counter tops. Another woman came out to help but the other 3 people had already gone. They were also out of so many meats and cheeses and had nothing to offer. I then went to customer service, and was told the manager had to call the assistant manager to take my complaint. Really?? I waited and then decided I didn't have time to wait for the assistant manager to come to the front. (Manager told me it was going to take a while for the assistant manager to come to the front of store.) The only reason I even gave 1 star is because the 2 women who were helping me, were at least apologetic for the long wait and the dirty mess. NEVER again will I shop at this deli. read more

The lack of customer service is exactly what you'd expect from walmart. Thanks a lot seemingly mentally unstable associate who argued with me about if they had a certain item in stock, then refused to get it when I showed them their website said in stock. i live in howell so theres one 5mins by my house.. but okay everyone was raving and ramping you must check this Walmart it's a super one with grocery and such, which is the same as one in Howell.. but okay let me check it out since it's was close to Cosco.. well like me tell you, crowed like all walmarts on a Sunday afternoon.. the isles were more narrow can barely fit two carts passing, it's like a race to get thru the isles before someone get in.!! Lol.. and tell me why they have cleaning stuff right in where the foods are???? that's a bit gross and un-appealing.. Walmart is Walmart the one in Howell is much more nicer to shop at!! read more

Aside from low-cost prescriptions, this place stinks. The customer service is horrendous especially in the pharmacy. The lead pharmacist is rude...outright rude with customers. No one tries to go above and beyond. The store is dirty and some of the products have sat too long that should not. They may have good prices, but I cringe when I have to go there for something because it's NEVER a good experience. This has perpetuated because everyone else there, customers, do not care and are rude--directly because of the staff. Ick, I hate this place!! read more
