First time doing curbside pickup and only because there was a deal to order something online versus in store. Checked in through the app and waited well over an hour to receive one small item. On top of it multiple vehicles arriving later than me received their whole grocery list first and their employee was the least bit of concerned. I placed an online order, and even before picking it up I received an email that said it had been picked up. Called the pickup department and was told they probably gave it to someone else by mistake. The supervisor suggested I call the 1-800 Walmart number to ask for a refund. Waisted a lot of time on the phone trying to get this matter resolved. Online orders are supposed to be for convenience, but this ended up being a headache. read more

I experienced a rude employee at the Walmart Champaign IL location on Prospect. We were roaming around looking for the clearance section. my Fiancé stopped to ask a young girl who had a Walmart vest on where the aisle was. She was texting on her phone and didn't respond to him so he walked away. I walked by her and said that text must be important. As I walked away She says I told him to hold on. No miss you didn't you looked at him and you went back to texting. As I walk further away she said "are you slow I told him to hold on" I turned around and said what did you just say to me and she said it again "are you slow" I walked back up to her and ask who she was talking to like that. As I got closer I asked her to go get her manager. She started to back up and looked confused. we were standing in front of where the employees take the baskets for pick up orders. Another employee heard me and started saying you better get a manager out here. When I turned around the girl was gone. This young girl ran off and hid. There was another employee gathering stuff and I asked her if she heard the conversation but of course she acted like she couldn't hear me or understand me. Did I freak out. Yes I did. Should I have kept my cool since I had my daughter and grandson with us? Yes probably. But No one has a right to talk to anyone that way. I don't care who you are or who you think you are. The girl ran because she knew she was in the wrong. If she was off the clock she could have said hey I'm off the clock or maybe not wear the vest when on the floor. I just wanted to see the clearance section it's my go to when I visit Walmart. The manager said she would look at the footage to see if she can see which employee it was. She said she would talk to her and her team. I wish I would have gotten the managers name she seemed like she cared. But honestly I was seeing red. She did seem concerned but who knows if she will follow up. A male employee started following us around, idk if he was trying to intimidate us by being in the aisle across from us everywhere we turned he was there. Maybe he thought I was stirring trouble so he started watching me idk. But he made my daughter feel uncomfortable. Remember you can't let anyone talk down to you or intimidate you. I don't care what color your skin tone is we all bleed the same. Don't be a retail worker if you don't like dealing with people. This Walmart is pretty standard as far as walmarts go. I will say they are often out of stock on items compared to the other Walmarts in the area but it's not surprising seeing as it is located in Champaign which is a larger city compared to Urbana or Savoy. I have been in Walmart stores in may states, but I can say without a doubt that the store # 1734 is quite below my rating selections. I am precisely talking about the online ordering department. I have tried many times to place an order whether it be in the food line department or in other departments there is always a problem. The order is split up even though I am placing a pickup order. This time I decided to call before my husband went to get the pickup part of the order which would have been 14 items. To my amazement they could not find my whole order at the WalMart store#1734. So, after they had to go and check it out and call me back. They didnot have my order at their store and they didnot know where the order was placed at! I went to the WalMart website for my favorite store where I had always placed my orders, and this is what happened this time. So, I told them to cancel the whole order. Please, do not place any orders after "five" PM because you don't know who, what, when, nor where these thinks will end up. Also, when you call to one of those call centers they donot understand what we are saying and I surely can't understand what they are saying. I was told this time that I did not place my order with walmart I placed it with a third party, like I know who "WalMart's" third party sellers are. WalMart if you are going to try and copy what Amazon is doing please do better than your competition and get it right. read more

Not the best, not the worst location. Surprisingly, with a Meijer right across the street (which was there first as well), this Wal-Mart still thrives due to the sheer amount of products they carry and the lack of large stores for miles outside of Champaign-Urbana. The good thing about this store is definitely the selection -- you really don't need to go elsewhere to find nearly everything you need (although with Meijer's, Target, Best Buy, and a mall nearby -- nearly everything else is covered). Typically the store doesn't get super busy except on weekends, but it's not difficult to shop here in the evenings instead to avoid crowds. Cleanliness is alright and the arrangement of stock is alright as well. One thing that may surprise people is that the quality of groceries here is actually fairly good. Despite being known as a bargain store, the produce, meats, sauces, frozen items, etc. are of good quality. I would still go to County Market instead if given a choice, but you can get all your food here out of convenience. read more

Out of all the Walmart stores in the Chambana area, this place truly is the worst one. I have no clue why people continue going to this one. It is filthy, it looks dark and gloomy in there. No one ever looks happy there. Most younger employees are hiding in the corners on their phones, and tell you: go ask someone else, I don't work in this department! The store design does not make any sense, aisles are not spacious enough. The shelves are way too high, I've seen employees who are short struggling to reach the top shelf! They shouldn't be on it, that's not safe in my opinion. If they can't hire anyone to be a cashier, I believe that says something about the hiring process or the company itself. It's time to either turn this store into a grocery online ONLY or get the place remodeled and updated! The entire parking lot also needs a renovation. They once fixed it, but it's a temporary fix that is falling apart. Let's add new management to this as well! I feel the employees would be happier and would be wanting to give a damn to work there! I called and talked to Rickey, they had the tires in stock and replacement is first come first served. He offered me the warranty on the tires, gave me an estimate of an hour to do the work. I think I only waited 30-45 mins, brand new affordable tires, fast, friendly, knowledgeable, answered all my questions, great customer service. read more

Worst Walmart I have ever been to, I should have known better. Placed an order for pickup yesterday at 1:45PM for one item. After ordering I received an email that my pickup would be ready no later than 8pm that day. At 7:30PM I received an email that said the item has been delayed. I get it, store is busy with Black Friday. 6AM I receive a notification that my order has been cancelled due to items out of stock. Nice. Why was it offered on the website if it was out of stock and why did it take 16 hours to figure that out? I work for DOOR DASH. I was supposed to pick up an order at 3:20. It was originally supposed to be picked up by 1pm. But got pushed back. I WAITED 2 HOURS AND IT STILL WASN'T READY!!!! Ordered Walmart grocery delivery yesterday. Was supposed to arrive between 3and 4. At 6pm after contacting Walmart customer service a couple times, they cancelled my order and told me to redo my order. I reordered for today between 4 and 5. At 7:15 Walmart customer service told me it likely wasn't going to get delivered tonight and maybe I should just cancel and try again!! This time I decided to call the store. The manager told me they're still working on the day before yesterdays orders!!! So thanks to Walmart, my order isn't even going to be considered yesterdays order because they cancelled it and had me reorder. Will be lucky to get it tomorrow and who knows what time. Guess they expect people to sit around all day waiting? This is not the first time this has happened with them missing the delivery window, they're just normally an hour late, not days! read more

Store update: Forgot my prior reviews, this just place is just plain awful. There are some workers here that are so lazy that it almost pains me to call them a fellow human being. I have gone to buy something from the electronic department and had to wait 50 minutes for someone to finish their work before finally answering my question and telling me that oh the website is wrong and it is not in stock. I was employed at this Walmart for 8 months recently before I decided to quit. The HR representative Seth Wilocoxn is a complete sarcastic tyrant that gets a power trip from being demanding and accommodating to his employees. My aunt died this past year and I was looking for some time off for grievance. Seth purposely denied my request for time off knowing that this event was affecting my mental health. He only cared about my shift being covered rather than the well-being of his employees. There are multiple instances that's I have witnessed him yelling at employees about "bothering" him in his office about time off requests approval when that is his job to do. Is there no standard for staffing both the filling of prescriptions and the customer service counter? Guess not. When I walked into Walmart Supercenter I was not greeted at the door. Then me and my family went to use the restrooms and every single toilet in there was disgusting. Some had human feces in the stalls. I was then going to do my grocery shopping after I went to the restroom with my daughter and we were judged the whole time. All the employees were just standing around doing absolutely nothing and making snarky remarks towards everyone regarding the characteristics of the customers. It was a very toxic environment overall. I do NOT recommend going to this Walmart. I will be contacting headquarters regarding the professional managers and there ability to maintain a healthy work environment. read more

This review pertains to the automotive department. These people are ignorant of car problems & uncaring about the customers. Here are 3 incidents I've recently had: 1. I bought tires from them & after just 1 year they developed a slow leak. They didn't mount them properly or messed up the stems/valves. 2. My daughter had battery problems. They told her they could not help her because the battery was under the backseat! Ridiculous. 3. I tried to return a defective battery in warranty. They hooked it up to a tiny digital 'battery tester' & told me the battery was good. The battery was definitely bad. I didn't pursue the matter & just bought a new battery elsewhere. There's a reason they cant keep help longer than 6 months at a time: poor quality workers. Don't take your car to Walmart Automotive. read more

It's 29 October 6:30pm Employees are thieves. Keep your stuff safe I have found iPhone 6, when I pressed home button I saw someone called 3 times. So I called back and one of the wall mart employee answer. He came and collect phone then left. I followed him and ask to unlock phone. He was like its switched off and left. I realise it's not his phone. So I followed him backside of the Walmart. And try to explain other employee but she was like you can't be here. I was shocked . I called police 911. But before police arrived real owners call on the phone and came and collect. She was like I don't want to involve in police situation. I called back to 911 and request not to Come, because finally real owner has her phone. Worst experience of my life. Worst customer service in my life. I called ahead to make sure they had 40 bags of brown rubber mulch. They let me set and for ever , 6th time I called I ask for a manager. The manager was pleasant but in stead of looking herself got someone else to check to see if they had what I wanted. We drove 1 1/2 hours there to find that there was only 1 bag when they just told me that there were 2 pallets. So I called to talk to the manager again, and they sent someone again over to help us because of course there was no one around, she said she was the person checking when I called ahead and she looked at red and black , not brown like I specified. I went at 8 PM and the place was a zoo. Many items were sold out which is understandable because it's back-to-school season. What is less understandable is how terribly the store is organized. You will find kitchen supplies all over the store, not just in the kitchen section. It took me 15 minutes to find a water purifier. Found shower suction cup hooks near the plumbing section, not near the bathroom section. And so on. I was very frustrated in not being able to easily find what I need by the time I left. read more
