It seems as though this Walmart Supercenter in Clovis, NM, may have gotten a makeover relatively recently. The worst part on 10.12.2025 was the parking. The lot was fairly packed and per usual fashion pedestrians were were training for the next casting call for a zombie movie by walking as slowly as they possibly could and down the middle of aisles. Lol. Inside, it didn't feel quite like a discount store - especially in the clothes sections. When we walked in, we saw beautiful large pumpkins on sale for $3.97. Wow! Every section we walked through was organized. Clean. And the staff members were nice and helpful. This is not normal behavior in my hometown Walmart! Kudos, Clovis! read more

Hi everyone, on February 12th, around 6pm, I went to Walmart to buy beer and saw Heineken selling for $13 for 12 bottles. I took it and went to pay, but when I paid, the girl working there told me that it was selling for $15.73. Do you want to buy it or not? I said it was only $13. Why did you sell it to me for $15.73? She said do you want to buy it or not? I bought it but when I was almost out the door, I saw that it wasn't quite right. I brought it back. I want to say that Walmart set the price at $13. They are not the biggest Walmart but are the biggest in the vicinity. Have a lot of things and the rest you can order online. Worth a visit as the prices are lower than Albertsons or Lowe's. read more

Very rude employee and manager Gio. Price was marked down on a fan when I asked why he said because the box was torn so I showed him the others on the shelf and they were ripped as well. I asked if they would reduce those as well he quickly said No. I asked why and he said because I said so. I've worked at Walmart in Niagara Falls NY for five years plus other branches in other cities. From what I've seen here so far I don't understand why they only have 1 star. The employees have been very helpful and courteous, the shelves are stocked and the prices are very reasonable. I've never seen a brand new in box 32 inch TV for $89 anywhere before. The store itself was clean, I didn't use the restroom so I don't know about that. Definitely a go to for groceries, domestics, auto care, hunting equipment, pharmacy, gardening etc.... read more

My husband and I recently visited this store...we did (previous to the 'incident') use this store often. Each visit my husband who is a disabled veteran needs assistance of a mobile shopping cart (scooter). Several times lately employees have given us different "store policies" saying I "was not allowed to temporary park the car in front of the store to go inside get the mobile shopping cart (scooter) and bring it out to my husband and if I continue to park there the police would be called"; another visit I park the car, go inside to get the cart and another employee says (store policy) "I am not allowed to take the mobile shopping cart (scooter) outside of the store" (I did it anyway) and then there was the store employee who told hubby he was not allowed to take the cart out of the store suggesting takes his purchases out of the mobile shopping cart (scooter) and put them in a push cart. No consideration to the fact, that hubby is an AMPUTEE. THIS TIME hubby spared the employee by not responding. Now about the visit that lead to the 'incident'; we'd came into the store the day before and purchased hot food from the deli, get home, ready to eat and the food is OLD/STALE. So now hubby is very perturded 'says we are taking the nasty arse food back to the store'. So we get to the store; I park the car; go inside to get the mobile shopping cart (scooter); once again a employee says (store policy) "tells me" 'you can't take that cart (mobile shopping cart (scooter)) outside. I turn around so he could see my face and said to the employee "Watch Me" and out the store I go. When I get to the car I share with my hubby this most recent encounter regarding the mobile shopping cart (scooter). He says he is going to 'handle it'. I walk ahead of my hubby, as soon as hubby reached the entrance he began the "incident" with a very loud voice he begins expressing his attitude about how "HE AND I" are having an issue with the mobile shopping cart (scooter). By now hubby is speaking louder and getting louder and louder, the employee at the door had a look that was priceless, began to studder while calling for someone to assistant the 'irate customer'. Now while all of this is going on I am walking towards the electronics department, when I encounter three employees heading in the direction of my husband; I asked if one of them was a manager, a female employee replied that she was a assistant manager. I suggested to her to call the 'STORE MANAGER' because all they were going to do was anger hubby more, while he now yelling for a manager and continuing his verbal attack to anyone in earshot (by now a group of employees have gathered, along with the three I followed from walking to the electronics department, about nine employees total). I said to a few of them, if they didn't want to have a bad day, I suggested 'they needed to move around and get back to work'; (and thinking if they decided to remain, they too would face the raft of a verbal barrage). That female assistant manager was not spared the verbal attack from hubby; while trying to explain that it was 'store policy' recently being enforced. There is a verbal war going on between those involved in the 'incident'. Then another employee in a aggressive manner rushes towards my hubby demanding that he not speak to his employees with 'verbal abuse'. Immediately hubby is loudly demanding to know who this employee and asks. Oooops bummeddiggity another assistant manager. This manager explained that it was the store policy, due to others 'stealing the mobile shopping cart (scooter) and taking them to their apartments close by. Louder Hubby asked this assistant manager what did that have to do with anything, we park in a handicapped space close to the door, so this attitude is not necessary and our car would not hold the mobile shopping cart. Hubby continued his very loud "verbal attack"; now I see the store undercover theft recovery employee calling the police (reporting 'an angry man with a cowboy hat on' according to one of the two officers that explained this to hubby and myself during the 'perk walk' to our car; only to find the angry irate man (hubby) was dressed in his 'Dallas Cowboys' gear from the top of his head down to his foot..). Hubby had not lost the tempo of his loud verbal attack; while waiting for the police to arrive. In the mean time that male assistant manager is making it know that hubby is "BAND FROM THE STORE". And hubby is making it know that his wife (me) would let everyone on social media 'KNOW HOW THIS WALMAT TREATS DISABLE VETRANS'. The police arrives; gets things sorted out. Now hubby and I got the opportunity to be escorted (perk walk) from the store with the mobile shopping cart; and no purchases. We enjoyed a casual, pleasant 'normal conversation' with the officers for about an half a hour. Once we got to our car that male assistant manager comes out to return the cart. Now this store has LOST business from this WIFE OF A DISABLED VET. read more

The Auto department is the WORST!!!!!! I stopped here on a Sunday to get an oil change. The "lube tech" poured new oil on top of the old oil, he then had to drain all of the oil out of my car. Two hours later he told me that he couldn't change the oil because they don't have the proper tool to remove the plug. I tried to talk to the manager and his reply was "I'm on lunch". Bad quality, badly stocked, badly organized, badly managed. I have been to so many Walmarts in several states in the U.S. and this is probably the worst one. This Walmart is a dirty place where produce is always on the verge of going bad or moldy. I now go to Albertsons for fruits and veggies that will last me more than a day before rotting. This place needs better quality control. I never know what the prices are because they are often missing or incorrect. I once saw toilet paper prices at $500.00-$1,000.00. Some negligent employee perhaps? Everytime I go, something I want is out of stock or low in stock...for weeks! I am turning Amazon more and going on trips to Lubbock more due to this constant issue. Some recent personal examples are diapers, curtain blinds, certain spices, coffee creamer, labelmaker labels. Why does it take almost a month to replenish stock? Also, employees who stock the shelves seem to be there at all hours of the day rather than overnight, like most other Walmarts. This might not be a problem, except that they turn shopping into an obstacle course. Can you teach them to not stock in such a sloppy manner? There are boxes stacked and thrown everywhere and always blocking the middle of aisles. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The way the store is organized is annoying. Too often, similar items are stocked in different aisles. I have to walk through several departments to find what I need or to see all the options. For example, baby wipes and baby soap are not only located in the baby aisle. You have to go to the other side of the store to health and beauty care to find all the other baby wipes and baby soap brands in the store to compare them. Another example is Bisquick pancake mix not being located with ALL the other pancake mixes in the cereal aisle. For some reason it is the only pancake mix a few aisles down with the baking stuff. I understand how pancake mix is sort of a baking item. It just makes no sense why this one brand is there rather than where it makes better sense. For a long time employees were telling me they just must not carry Bisquick pancake mix without bothering to check beyond the cereal aisle. I noticed the different spot where the Bisquick is by chance, a year later. The same thing happens in groceries. The other day I was looking to buy hatch chiles. They were not in the Latin American food, not in the Mexican food (because this is a separate section too), not with the other canned chiles, not with the salsa. I'm not even sure where I found them stocked but it was an aisle that made no sense to me. The employees, who were hesitant to help me look, were baffled too and said it was a stupid spot for them. ....and this is the biggest problem...the complacency of the store. They don't care to improve it for customers. How I wish there were a Target here. (Sigh). read more

**AVOID** If you are high risk or are in contact with someone who is, please please please **AVOID** Walmart. Only about half of the employees adhere to any kind of protective policies implemented to slow/stop the spread of COVID-19. Grocery pickup is hit or miss with following proper practices, not to mention time slots are near impossible to secure. I understand this may be due to "protective policies in place" but let's not pick and choose on what will be adhered to. Store pickup is the bigger joke as many items are now being cancelled rather than substituted. Maybe it's me but if I order two of one item and that item is out of stock, but the two pack sitting next to it of the exact same thing isn't, I feel that should qualify as a substitution. We're already aware prices may change and a phone call to confirm whether or not it's an acceptable substitute is a much better way to, again, properly adhere to protective policies so I don't have to go in the store and step around 3 stockers working 1 aisle with a very questionable woman coughing up and down the next. Nor should I have to wade through 4 employees standing around in front of my checkout area in order to get out of the door. Again, maybe that's just me but I will be avoiding Walmart for the foreseeable future. read more

I was looking for a bag of frozen strawberries, they didn't have any. Ken who was busy stocking other items, was near by, I took a chance asking if they had any in back. Even tho he was busy, he checked for me, found out they did have some, and went in the back to get me what I needed. I thought this was not only kind of him, but the fact even tho he was busy, he did not act like it was an inconvenience to help me, he was very pleasant about it. We went to pick up our grocery order here at Walmart. We arrived at 12:42, and we had to call them to give our spot because the app was not working. An associate came out to verify that we were there, and said they will get our order out to us soon. We waited 50 minutes for them to get our order to us. There were 6 customers that arrived after us , one got there 45 minutes after we did and got their order before us. Their order was just as big as ours. When they finally brought our order out, I asked to speak to a manager. The Asst. Manager came out, and I asked him why it took 50 minutes to get our order, and why 6 customers that got there 20-45 minutes after us got their orders before us when we had received out text at 12:35 letting us know that our order was ready. He could not answer me, and said he would ask them later why. I let him know that this was unacceptable, and that I wanted an answer now, and that he needed to ask them now. I also asked to talk to his manager. He then told me to call 1800Walmart. I again told hom I wanted an answer now. He went inside and came back out in less than a minute. He said that he was having a bad day, and that they weren't sure why, but that people check in as soon as they turn into the parking lot. That might explain one or two, but not the four that got there 20-45 minutes after we did. This is unacceptable for a customer service position, and buisness. He didn't even offer an apology. I am extremely upset with the service provided. We use this service once a week. And this happens everytime, but it never has been this bad. read more

Good luck getting out of the store in a timely manner, this store can't keep cashiers highered. But the ones they do have are either slow or rude. The shelves are usually pretty messy, and stuff is usually not stocked. No wonder why they have so many accident within the store, walked through and almost slipped on some liquid that multiple employees walked by. This store doesn't have half the selection as other stores. Even in the toy section there isn't much AT ALL! Never have products on the shelves but if you ask someone they can get them from the back. So this means that they only stock certain things at certain times and if they run out then it's tough luck for you. And I'm not talking about specialty things, I'm talking about things like groceries, diapers and laundry detergent. It's ridiculous! And THEY ARE NOT 24 HOURS ANYMORE in a town where they were the ONLY store open 24 hours. So if your child or you needs something in the middle of the night you can't get it.
