I have been here several times over the years. I describe at as a medium size Walmart Super Center way out in the middle of no where. Dayton, TN is a small town where everybody has a bunch of kids. They bring them here where they cry for toys and candy. The service has always been good when I come here as I can usually find someone to wait on me. This is a friendly town and I always like coming here to shop or eat out with some friends. I will miss shopping at this Walmart on trips made to this town. read more

Signed up for Walmart plus trial. My first order they totally blew. I ordered the day before, mid day, for a morning delivery. Canceled the order by 4 pm because I had to go to the grocery store. Never delivered, order status said delayed all day. Never left the store. Think I'm going to pony up for a 100 dollar membership. No, I'm not. read more

I just have to give a HUGE shout out to Scott in automotive, the woman who helped us with changing our tire (I feel awful I cannot remember her name) and the manager Erica!!! They truly went above and beyond for my husband and I today. They were so friendly, compassionate, and helpful. Scott is extremely knowledgeable in his field and explained everything to us so we understood 100% what we were paying for and walked us through the whole process. Erica came to help and she really went above and beyond for us and was so incredibly kind. The woman who changed our tire for us was also so incredibly kind and greeted us with a smile and got our car fixed up in record time. I truly am so thankful for this team of workers. You can tell with out a doubt that they are all very knowledgeable on store policies, and that they genuinely care for their customers. Thank you all so much for being a blessing to us today and please know that your dedication and compassion doesn't fall short on us. We love our Dayton Walmart and the wonderful team that works there!! read more

Empty shelves on the weekend, everyone standing around in the customer service area and on the front end, more people doing personal shopping for customers pick up than working in the store stocking the shelves, in my opinion. I spend gas money going to the Walmart in Soddy Daisy rather than shopping in Dayton's Walmart, just to give you an idea of how bad I feel about this Walmart. Soddy is well stocked and clean. read more

Went in to purchase a few things this morning . One purchase included something that had a locked box on it and required opening by "a real live person"...& since this Walmart no longer believes or provides staffing on a register ( they are all self check out lines) , we had to go to electronics to have the case removed. We had also picked up about 6 small items . Brenda was the employee in electronics , not only was she rude , having to do her job , but apparently does not believe ringing up or bagging other groceries is her actual job . With an attitude ( we were told it was because she has a bad back) she rang our groceries up and threw bags on the counter for us to bag because "it wasn't her job" . I could understand the disgruntlement if there were other registers available to use or if we dropped an epic ton of groceries on her . We have used this check out previously on different days with different employees and have had zero of the laziness or attitude . I did not realize however that not only do I have to pay rising prices ( which have been steadily rising since January) , but I have to check myself out always ... and if I find "a real life person" to assist me .. that it's not their job to actually ring up and bag said groceries . The lady legit rang up the groceries, threw 2 bags on the counter and stared at us . Your establishment is garbage. There is zero customer service , the elderly are forced to self check out , but you pay someone to count people who enter and harass them by checking receipts . Maybe just maybe you could afford to hire just one check out line employee considering there are multiple lines available and always closed . And maybe just maybe you can train your employees to know their job , which to my knowledge is to ring up, bag groceries and not have such an attitude . My boyfriend bagged the groceries , but I would have set there all day. I'm not really sure what you pay Brenda in electronics for because from my stand point , she is injured ( with her back) and shouldn't be working anyway , she does not do her job and her attitude sucks . read more

Since when are clowns aloud to work the customer service counter? I am the world's worst at losing things, including recipients. I'm sure many other Americans lose them as well. I was able to return some vinyl about a month or more ago and needed to exchange some shirts for a different size because my husband grabbed the wrong ones. Well I was quick to be judged by a woman who doesn't even know how to apply makeup correctly. She wouldn't allow me to exchange them without a receipt. Then another trip I was checking out and realized left my bank card at my bank and needed to run across the street to get money out so I could get my groceries. I was talking to this same lady and in the middle of me asking if I could leave my buggy there to run right across the street to get money she literally picks the phone up while there are other employees around that could have done that being as how she was in the middle of something. Maybe your customer service people shouldn't be such cu**s and learn to be a little more happy. If you're her friend maybe you should be an actual friend and tell her about that makeup she has going on! read more

Needed fabric, 5 associates standing around, after 3 bell rings one decided to help me and said "no on likes to cut fabric." Really? Then you don't need that job! Management completely unhelpful. Ended up in debate with her when she said to me "we need to stop this conversation right now!" very hateful. Horrible store, never stocked properly, only mercantile store in 50 mile radius (because they put every small business in our town OUT OF BUSINESS) so they don't care about customers. WalMart knows they have a MONOPOLY ON EVERYTHING IN THIS TOWN and have customers over a barrel, so they treat you like crap! read more
