Decent Walmart, I will say that. I got my glasses from here and six days later they came. They were perfect size and fit my face. 1 year warranty, cheap and extremely high-quality frames, and so many deals! Would come here again. Store can be better. It could use some organizing with the items and aisles. Bathrooms cleaner than luxury hotels in my opinion and experience. Staff are also decent. They always look busy and they are actually working so asking a question isn't the greatest thing but it also isn't the worst experience and they will eventually get it right. Oh, my, goodness: the prices. Deals left and right will rollbacks on like 10% of all products. Clearance could use some love though, but I don't spend that much time in there. read more

The customer service at this store is absolutely atrocious. I went into the store hoping to purchase some trading card accessories. While the store was out of the sleeves that I was looking for, there were a couple of products that caught my eye. One of the boxes had a sticker on it touting a lower price on it. I put it in my cart and when I went to the checkout, that's where the lack of customer service really showed. The only registers available were of the self-checkout variety. The price that came up on the screen was the original price and not the price shown on the sticker. When I got the attention of an employee whose duty it seemed was to hold up the wall, she told me that I needed to talk to the person behind me. I called the young man over and described the situation to him. He told me there was likely nothing they could do because "that's a vendor sticker and not one of ours." He went to talk to his team lead who went to check the shelves for what I assumed to be an identical item, but the box that I had grabbed was the last of it's kind in the store. After having to refresh the screen at the register multiple times, the team lead made his way over after and informed me that there was nothing he could do to make things right and that there was no way to change a price once the computer generated it. Which I know to be false as I have a child who is an employee at another store. I did ask that even though I had to wait around for them for an unreasonable amount of time if he couldn't match the sticker on the box and was told no. The best he could do was to remove the box from my order. He then instructed the other employee to remove the sticker from the box and return it to the shelf. read more

I was out and about and I realized that I was low on cash so I jumped on yelp to see if my bank had a location near by and nope 6 miles was the closest so I do my free cash back trick, is a Walmart close. Walmart is everywhere and people always need things so since it was like 1.2 miles away that's my free cash station. I'm just going to buy things that I already need and get the free cash back for my day. This is a strange Walmart because it's the first one that I have ever seen with a separate liquor store with its own entry door attached to the building. The store it self seems newer with that completely different lay out from past stores and bright and clean. I did all my non grocery shopping because I was out of town at the moment so no fresh food but I did walk through the grocery section and I noticed that the items differ from my local store. Walmart is just super handy for a lot of situations so that's why I keep shopping at them and I do hate that they killed mom and pop stores but businesses evolve for better or worse. read more

It's always very crowded. The shelves are messy and poorly organized. There are usually only one or two cashiers open and most of the self checkouts are closed too. It's Wal-Mart! Most employees are very friendly. Sometimes you run into one that you can tell hates their job. Store has improved the past few months being cleaned and sheves stocked. I said improved! They have a long ways to go! Bathrooms are average. They can't control the many pigs that leave them a mess! Fresh Food quality keeps improving. Be careful when taking your car in for an oil change. There's a sloppy "mechanic" there that spills oil all over your engine block and doesn't bother to clean any of his mess up. And you don't know until you get it home and find oil all over your garage floor. It's a shame he can't be more considerate of customers personal property. read more

The best advice I can give you is to never support Walmart. As a former employee, they treat employees (outside of management) like trash and don't care about their problems. I used to work at this Walmart for 4 years and I today I was reminded one of the reasons I hated it...no one gives a crap about their crappy job and they are so rude to their customers and coworkers. What's worse is they get away with it and because there are no repercussions they continue to do it. I called today today to order a party sub and cupcakes for my daughter's bday party next sat. I wish there was a direct # for the deli and bakery so I wouldn't have to talk to that crabby woman that answers the phone and transfers calls. I almost filed a complaint about her back when I worked there because of how rude she was to me on the phone one day...before she knew I was an employee calling. I ended up loosing my cool on her and hanging up and was so aggravated afterwards because why would someone treat another person, let a lone a fellow coworker that way? She was very rude again today and was getting angry at me when the phone line wouldn't transfer properly and my call kept returning to her. She interrupted me when I was trying to explain that the call wasn't going through properly and started to yell at me that she would attempt to transfer the call again but doesn't know why they aren't answering and said there was nothing else she could do if they wouldn't answer. She wouldn't let me get 2 words out before transferred me again. Luckily this time it worked but I got to speak to yet another crabby woman in the bakery who had no idea what she was doing while I tried to place an order. She finally gave the phone to a different woman who was much more knowlegible and pleasant. Why do they have people answering the phone who have no idea what they are doing? It's really the "i don't give a shit" attitudes that I am upset about and I don't like being yelled at on the phone when I am just trying to spend $ at their store. The only reason I give them two stars is cuz I happen to know a lot of pleasant people that work there....2 out of 10 employees actually give a shit about helping you, and this Walmart is somewhat better than lake Geneva Walmart which is much closer to me but I don't like going there. read more

Checkout Dilemma. Hardly ever are enough checkouts open. That is, for those who find self checking out difficult and confusing.

This Walmart is easily one of the worst I have ever been to. If I could rate it a negative star, I would. For starters, no matter how busy it is, they have at most 4 or 5 checkout lines open. Even if there are hordes of people with full carts, no effort is made by management to open additional registers. Since this has been a continual problem, it's evident they suffer from poor management and have zero leadership. The tire lube express is a disaster. The last 2 times I have had my oil changed there, I ended up with puddles of oil in my driveway. When I called to complain after the most recent occurrence , the first words out of the girls mouth were "it's not our fault" even before addressing my concerns. This place has gotten so bad, I now drive farther and out of the way to hit up the Walmart in Lake Geneva anytime I need some cheap Chinese made stuff. The manager from delavan should take notes on how to run a store from the managers who operate the Lake Geneva location. That location is the complete opposite of Delavan: numerous checkout lines open at all times, self checkout, and the store itself is much cleaner and brighter. All in all, Delavan Walmart has many problematic issues and seems to need a change in leadership because as it stands right now, it is a disaster. read more

Since I live in Chicago, my husband and I do not get the opportunity to buy cheap stuff at Walmart often. We go here occassionally and always find great deals and the staff is always friendly and extremely helpful! We will definitely continue to shop here when we are visiting Delavan! read more

The "customer service department" is the absolute worst! I went to return a vacuum with an image of a receipt. And I never used the vacuum, in original package, and I thought I was pretty efficient having the receipt on my phone, the older customer service agent gave me 1001 reasons why the image of a receipt wasn't good enough for a receipt. Went into this Walmart around 11:30p last night. The only employee that seemed polite and helpful, was named Harold who apparently was maintenance. People in grocery all gave the "slave" vibe and some stated that management didn't respect them by saying "Welcome to Walmart. This store is not as good as you'd expect. Some of the workers are kind others not so much. If Mr. Sam saw this one he would not be pleased. There are not a lot of check out lanes open and the shelves are sometimes poorly stocked. For instance, the items are not properly lined up. Have Lake geniva teach you a lesson!!! and parking stalls are also limited. and shopping in peace is limited to this store, as screaming children will delight your shopping experience... Shelves need to be properly stocked, looked for an item shelf was empty. Two weeks later still looking for the same item they were still out of stock. After checking out I overlooked one of the bags, the clerk never said a word. Thank goodness the customer behind me found me in the parking lot and told me, when I returned to the register clerk informed me that I had forgot a bag. No, she had forgot to help put bags in my cart, she had forgot to check bagging area to make sure all bags had been picked up. It was much easier to put the blame on ME. You need to go that extra step to satisfy the customer, or you will spend your entire life as a Walmart employee. read more

this store is totally a disaster... they never know where anything is when you ask them... they have to call someone else and then they say we don't carry that item which is total BS... cause i then walked around for about a half hour and found it... they really need to train the employees better... and maybe not hire them from the nut house... hire someone who has some brains... and the check out lines dont even get me started.. they got all those lanes for checking out but noone there to run them...
