I thought about writing this review for quite a while. I went to Bill Melson the store manager once in person and then following up with email but when I saw a similar review of the store not supporting people with disabilities, I decided to post. We have gone to Sentry for years and have a child with a severe disability. We never feel welcomed, getting stares by several employees and also recently being followed up and down the aisles by and older woman employee and most recently by Blake Daniels. Blake followed my family for so long that it made both of my daughters significantly uncomfortable. It is CLEAR that they do not care about physically and neuro-diverse people and have no willingness to accept and accommodate them. And when I sent a few emails directly to Bill, I NEVER received a response. You have to be a horrible person to discriminate against anyone overall but it takes a specific type of terrible to do it to a child. I will not shop here anymore nor will any of my family. I encourage everyone reading this to take the same action. Vote with your $'s or there will never be change. read more

Stopped here for gas. Prices have been so high lately, but this place had a good price and it was competitive with the Mobile across the street. There's also a convenience store with the gas station, and though it's branded with the grocery store it doesn't require a membership card or anything; just stop on in and get to pumping. read more

Stopped by to pick up some authentic Wisconsin omiage to take back to friends and family in Hawaii. Had a good selection of locally made jams, jellies, and pickles-farm stand kind. Purchased a few local cheeses from their extensive selection. read more

Excellent old-school grocery store in Wisconsin. Beats the ones in Illinois. Support local businesses.

Great produce and deli section, really good homemade pizzas, wide variety of healthy & organic choices, and the recently expanded liquor section is strong. Prices are really good--unlike some other places, they don't seem to have "summer prices" to take advantage of tourists. Despite being a pretty large store, it keeps a warm, friendly feel to it. Many of the workers are high school-age, but they're knowledgeable and courteous. As of July 17, 2021, there are no pandemic restrictions - no one is required to wear a mask, but there's also no reaction to anyone who does wear one while shopping. read more

Their rotisserie recipe has changed. They used to be really good. Now they are tasteless and dry.

This place had everything we were looking for. Wish I had a local grocery store as clean. The only thing that surprised me was the volume of available baked goods since we are in Wisconsin after all. read more

When grocery shopping, organic quality is a priority. Sentry in Walworth offers foods to cover dairy, meat, grains, fruits and vegetables. I found the foods I needed to prepare organic breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners. Stonyfield yogurts, Wild Harvest brand (e.g. milk, frozen vegetables, bottled juices, popped popcorn and tortilla chips, and some canned goods), Amy's frozen foods and canned soups, and a produce section (e.g. lettuces, berries, carrots, avocado, tomatoes, banana, apples). I found slice, whole wheat bread in the bakery department but no organic bread in the aisle. Ezekiel breads are available in the freezer near the produce and bakery sections. There are 3 short aisles adjacent to the bakery department which include a mixture of organic, non-GMO, and gluten-free foods including chips, dried pastas and rices, canned goods, snack bars and cookies, cereals, nut butters and skin products. Although I feel the inventory should include a greater variety of organics (e.g. orange juice, almond milk in the refrigerated section), I am grateful this neighborhood store has a variety an provided access to many organic grocery items. read more

I have never disappointed by this store .It is the perfect size for a grocery store and offers just as much as the big-box grocers do. Fresh made sanwiches, chicken, salads,deli and a Great bakery! Very good selection, well displayed, always clean and neat. the employees and cashiers (the cashiers are so good, never had a bad one) are always friendly. I will agree with Pooky H the prices are a bit high but I'll pay it considering the convenience, location, employee attitude and its NOT Waldo-Mart! Went for frozen twice baked potatoes didn't find any like most stores but found other great bargains The store is so clean and friendly

This is a very nice grocery store. It's well laid-out, clean, and is visually interesting. Hot food of home-cooked quality can be purchased and eaten at tables by large windows. Next to the refrigerated case where freshly assembled pizzas are wrapped in celllophane and ready to be put into your shopping cart, the person who makes them will create a customized pizza for you. The deli section, the bakery, the seafood case, the meat section, the dairy section, the aisles of grocery products, the checkout registers, the clean parking lot...it's all quality. read more

while countless employee hours are spent facing the shelves, perhaps someone should explain to these high schoolers that while bringing one item to the front of the shelf is fine for picture taking or the 'could care less' manager who looks down the aisle, moving a few other items forward would make it easier on the customer. I purchased a large jar of Miracle Whip and another of Mayo that had sell by dates that were two years prior to the day of purchase. Not pleased to get home and find that my purchase was over 3 years old and it tasted like it had. While I look at dates on dairy items, this store doesn't seem to care if things are fresh. read more

This is my favorite grocery store for many reasons. The selection of produce, quality meats, seafood, bakery good and deli are wonderful. Staff is so helpful and store is so clean and attractive. The owner is always in the premises checking on everything too. read more

Way over priced, Hot deli: chicken is hit or miss sometimes over cooked sometimes under cooked. Younger cashiers not trained well (watch how they scan your items). Store is clean and bright. I always have to check expiration dates before I place in my cart. Meats are fatty and they use red dye. I do like their chicken breast from the butcher when on sale. read more

I have to say I have never written a review for a grocery store but this place is awesome. They have displays that are amazing. They did a flower like with the corn and butter and even the candy at checkout is light up. They also have a counter to get a quick lunch or dinner that is very good. read more

Years ago our family's bakery co-produced Kringles, and Butter Flake Rolls under the Crestwood Bakery label. We closed our business several years ago and greatly miss eating the kringles and butter flake rolls. I seems the Sentry stores are coming back but I don't see these products in the stores. read more

Went up to Sentry after not being there for several months. What the HECK did they do with the prices???? The remodeling job was nice to see. The jacked up prices were a shocker. I did a bit of comparing, and as much as 4 dollars higher on things.(example: Kedem grape juice. Jewel price $3.99 Sentry price: OVER 8.00!! I could post more examples, but you get the idea. Same products...HIGHER prices! I used to go there for years and now I will never go back. Not worth the drive. read more

While driving in the countryside, we needed liquid and munchies for the road so we stopped here after a long day of walking in Lake Geneva. It's everything you'd want in a local grocery: big but personable. It made me feel like I was far away from the city and that sat just right with me. read more

Sentry is always the place to go for food when I'm up at Lake Geneva. As far as cleanliness, the store has that on lock. The people (usually teenagers) are mostly friendly and I always get pointed in the right direction when I'm looking for something. The only downer on Sentry is that the prices seem a bit higher than the food stores i'm used to here in Illinois. It's alright though cause I always come away with a good product that makes my lake experience even better. read more

Beware, I specifically stated we had an allergy when purchasing salad at the deli. I was assured that the seafood salad was all fake. Well it had a couple of small shrimp, not enough to see, but enough to require an epi pen. Called the store, they agreed that they needed to inform the associates that the shrimp is real, did they volunteer to refund even the cost of the item which we had to throw out, no. read more
