When we were at Walmart yesterday (Halloween day), it was crazy busy. The checkout lines were through the roof, but they had every checkout lane open. Even the pharmacy checkout line was really long. (This information is just to set the scene) I am disabled, so I need an electric scooter to shop, but halfway through my shopping, it died. An associate, Liam, saw this and came over to help me. He told me to stay put (like I had a choice lol) and he'd get me another scooter. He stopped what he was working on and went to the front of the store and brought a scooter back to me, then unloaded my items from my cart into the new one. He didn't have to go through all that trouble for me, especially considering how crazy busy the store was, but he did, and it meant a lot to me. He was so kind. The scooter died again, when I was in the self-checkout line. The man who was working as door greeter on the grocery side was also very nice (but I can't remember his name). He went and brought me a new scooter, too. He said that when he came to work at 3:00, most of the scooters were being charged and not even halfway charged yet (like I said, it was a crazy busy day). I appreciated both men's help. I wish I'd looked at the man's name tag, but I was too concerned with my scooter dying and me blocking others from checking out. He was kind, too, and put my mind at ease. Thank you to both. read more

Couldn't have been any worse every day I go there there's all ways some Walmart employee getting laid in someone's car and every time I get food from the deli wether it's meat or chicken or something there's always hair in it they bring shame to the Walmart community and some team lead Tracy is. This is a good Walmart. It's not the fanciest one, but it is kept clean, with tidy shelves and a debris-free parking lot. It's a stand-alone store, not attached to anything else, although there is a Subway restaurant inside it. Curbside pick-up orders are brought to vehicles quickly, and those employees are always pleasant and careful with the groceries. The interior of the store is large, and usually gives me a bit of an empty feeling, but that's not surprising. Employees in the store can be difficult to locate, and many of the "self scan" modules to check prices have been removed. But, this is still a decent Walmart. read more

Walmart Supercenter - a toddler in a shopping cart - Department Stores Near Me - Delmont, Pennsylvania

This Walmart, the supercenter in Delmont, has steadily gone downhill in recent months. In the past, I was very happy to order from this store and was very pleased with the customer attention and service. However, those days are long gone! Just today, I was told that Hot Rotisserie Chickens were out of stock! This did not make any sense to me, so I went into the store. Not surprisingly, approximately 15 Hot Rotisserie Chickens were sitting in the deli! They were all labeled as being placed there at 9:20 AM. I picked up my order at 10:15 AM. In light of this, I have to believe that either the time the chickens were completed (done) was wrong or that the person picking my order did not inquire as to when the chickens were to be done. If the time was wrong, just how long had this chicken been sitting in the hot case? If the person picking my order did not follow up, that is shame on them. Again, another example of the "do not care" attitude of the staff now working in Walmart. In addition, I was never notified by Walmart of out-of-stocks or substitutions. In the past, I have worked at other large grocery stores and understand the need to place time on hot items for sale. This prevents loss of quality and prevents food-borne illness. So which case was this? Pre-timed dates on the bags that have no connection to the actual time the item was prepared, or failure on the part of the person choosing the order? I am disabled and have a very difficult time walking, which is why I use the pick-up. Having to go into the store when I specifically set a pick-up time was definitely problematic. However, this is only one of a long list of problems with this store. I seriously doubt that I will get any follow-up on this complaint or review in what I perceive to be Walmart's current standard of "Customer Service". I can only hope that another major grocery retailer sees the lack of service at this store and decides to break into the market in Delmont. read more

This is one of the cleanest Walmart's I have been in. I found the employees I spoke to, helpful and polite. I found everything I needed and was able to exit without issue. The women's restroom was clean. I have no negative comments about this Walmart and would highly recommended others to shop here. I did find it funny - they have a Blue Box not a Red Box! What a disappointment this store has become! It used to be one of the best in the area but it has become extremely unfriendly to the customer. Space is wasted with the Target-like displays. Items are hard to reach. Common food items are unavailable. Deli and bakery selections are prepackaged. That is fine if we all prefer our meats and cheeses the same thickness. I may as well get Oscar Mayer if they still carry it. The varieties available to be cut fresh are very limited. I was so angry with the situation I left without completing my shopping list. Had to give a one star but I rate them 0. Purchased a canopy and it came up one price and what it was on shelf was different. Manager gave me a hard time and said they were gonna review footage after she had me standing at the register for like 20 minutes while going to check the price on shelve. Came back and said it was not the price as indicated on the shelf and I said if your not giving it to me for marked price I don't want it and she was like I will this one time. Get for real. So I ordered some makeup and I have a pick of the order, but I didnt receive the whole order. The online order states: "(2 pack) Rimmel Stay Matte powder, Creamy Natural." Sadly, I only recieved 1 of the 2 in the pack. And from the pg it looked like it was a special price, pay for 1 and shipping and receive the 2 pack. This did not happen. In fact this is very common for Walmart online orders. They do not display or advertise their merchandise appropriately so the customer understands. Walmart is the only company I know that does this and never fixes it. Be careful ordering online from them it's likely they know the problems and leave them so the customer will be scammed out of their buys. And Walmart can make alot of $$$$$ off of us. -K read more

This review is for the online grocery shopping service at the Delmont store. As I get older, I find I have no patience for the more mundane tasks like grocery shopping. Walmart's online grocery ordering and pickup service has become a reliable alternative for me. The idea of spending time wandering through crowded aisles and people isn't something I want to do. I found that using the Walmart grocery app on my phone or IPad was extremely easy. The products I wanted were easily searchable by category or department. Items that I need regularly can be saved as favorites. Bonus is that I think I am spending less money as I don't purchase the impulse items, like cookies, magazines, etc. Walmart employees who bring the groceries to my car have been courteous and very helpful. If an item is substituted, they explain that if it's not to,your liking, it will be deleted from your total cost. If you accept the item, you are always charged the lower price. I thought I would tip the employee who brought the grocery order to my car, but he refused and asked only that I just give a good response on the survey that is emailed after the groceries are picked up. It's a win-win for me. I don't have to spend time in the store, get out of my car in miserable weather, or return the cart. I am headed for home in less than 10 minutes. Now, if they would send an employee along home with me to put the groceries away, that'd be great. ;) read more

Horrible, built too quickly. This store isn't as old as some people believe it to be. But as I said, it was built too quickly. For one, you know this store was thrown up too quickly when it's technically built in two different municipalities. The other reason is that that the size is really small, tiny even. Save your time and drive a littler further up the road to Monroeville where I'm sure you'll find what you need at a better quality and price. Or just go across the street to one of the dollar stores. I went to the MONEY CENTER to get change in quarters for a $5 bill. I waited 7 minutes in line for The lady at the desk to deny my request and said and I quote "I'm not goin going to open my register to give you $5 in quarters, sorry." I also went to the deli to get a pound of steak fries at 7:40 pm. The hours of the hot table at the deli is 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM. When we asked the lady for the fries she said "sorry but we're closed." (This was at 7:40 PM) me being a previous Walmart employee know that they aren't supposed to close until 8 pm and have food on the hot table until then. There was no food on the hot table at all. We asked her if she could make some for us and she said she could do that. So she went to the back to get some out of the freezer and another lady came out with her and said that they can't make them for us because they already shut everything down. BEFORE CLOSE! All in all this Walmart is dirty and cramped. Will NOT be returning to this Walmart. read more

I don't know if I can pinpoint the frustration I feel every time I enter through those cursed doors. Perhaps it's that the lady running the 2,000 items or less checkout lane who clearly doesn't understand the term, "speedy checkout". Or maybe it's the fellow patrons shuffling around in no clear order, blocking aisles, or stopping dead in front of you as you are trying to navigate away from them. Or perhaps it's when I go there for just for a few things yet somehow spend $50.00 or more and wonder, how did I save money again? I don't know, but I still go. They sell dog food and shampoo! Employees seem to be disengaged in this store. 12/05/15 at 5:pm. Store manager no where to be found. After waiting at sporting goods counter for 20 minutes for an employee to assist me I phoned the store (from inside the store) and asked for assistance. First call I was transferred to a number that rang unanswered. Second call I was told that the manager would be coming back to the department. After waiting another 10 minutes and the manager a no-show I left. One star rating only because I don't blame the employees. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE OF A FAILURE OF STORE MANAGEMENT - 1. My complaint is with the electronics department. My 86 year old dad has a cell phone for emergency use. Today he went in to add minutes and the man that waited on him would not perform the task. He tried to show my dad how to do it himself but the guy screwed it up and kept pushing several buttons to get to the right screen. Finally he got to the screen where you type in a slew of numbers and told my dad to type them in. Well, I arrived at the desk and typed them in myself because my dad didn't have his glasses and on top of that, he has numbness in his fingers. I thought Walmart employees were taught to appreciate the elderly...I guess not. When we were walking away, the guy told my dad that after a few times, he will be able to figure it out. The most unstocked Walmart I've been to in the Western PA area. The store isn't that busy to constantly be out of products

This is by far the absolute worst automotive service experience I have ever had in my entire life. Not only did they make me wait over an hour and a half before they even put my vehicle on the rack for an oil change. After it was on the rack they came and told me that they didn't have my oil filter available. Their solution was for me to go across the street and buy my own oil filter and bring it back I was pressed for time so I did . they told me that they would get me right back in. So I brought it back in with the oil filter that I purchased for $12. I was told that they would knock off two dollars off my entire service. So now my oil change experience has cost me an extra $10 already. And now instead of getting me right back in as promised I waited another half hour before they even got it back into the garage. And the entire time the auto technician or so called auto technician "Rookie" is the name on his employee ID tag. Acts like it's all my fault for being stupid enough to bring my car here for an oil change. Well this is a mistake I will not be making again!!!! read more

I came home from Los Angeles to visit for my nieces sweet 16 and because we where late they wouldn't sell us our 50 piece box of chicken they asked us to wait while they refry it and it's already cooked we where buying it for a party and warming it at home. Anyone who walks into a Walmart knows what you are getting. You are getting no help, unhappy workers, and made in China products. But we all go because where else do we go at 2 am. This store isn't as big as Greensburg or North Versailes, but you get your basic groceries and other goods. The loss prevention guy is always following people around in his fire department shirt or sweatshirts and makes me uneasy. Not that I am a thief, its weird to have someone running and dogging around me. I don't like being used as "cover". Other than you have the not so happy cashier manager up front Lisa who chomps on her gum, like a cow chewing cud. And other not so happy people in yellow vests. What the mean?!?! Who knows. You are not gonna get the help you need. So we still shop there because it's cheaper than Rite Aid and Giant Eagle. But shop Shop N Save, Giant Eagle and other stores for sales items, shop the Dollar Tree and Dollar General across the street and then what you can find go to WalMart. read more
