The clothing selection is good here. The layout is different from my own Walmart's. The parking lot is wide and is shared with a few other businesses. You may have to park some distance away from the store. This is one of the Walmarts where they don't always stop you at the door to check your receipt. These are my thoughts. read more

So, this is the first time I have ever left a review, good or bad but felt I needed to. In the area so I went to Walmart in Fenton, Mo. (Bluffs). The interaction with the majority of the employees was horrible. Felt like I was "bothering them" when asking a question. Moving on, did some shopping and stopped by the sporting goods dept. to purchase some golf balls but of course they are locked up in a glass cage. Button on the cage says press for assistance. Well after pressing the button 4 times and 20 minutes later I finally track an employee down for assistance. Yep you guessed it, I was bothering her. Anyway she gets the cage open and grabs the $18.00 box of balls and says she is taking them to customers service and I will need to go there to get them? Really, are there gold bars or diamonds in the box? So i finish shopping and head to customer service. There are 5 people in line moving at a snails pace as there is only one employee working , so again I wait. After about 5 minutes or so an employee walks in behind the counter and is standing right next to the box of balls so I get her attention and ask if she could hand them to me so I can go check out. Her response was I can't, not on the clock? ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I just left my cart full of merchandise and walked out of the store....Never again. Now I know why I use Amazon. Get it the next day at a great price, no hassle returns and no employees to deal with. read more

I always enjoy taking the drive to go to Gravois Bluffs, and stopping by this Walmart location. They are always well stocked, so I'm able to find what I need. Self checkout is available for use and the lines are never long. Plenty of parking outside and just down the hill from other stores. read more

The perks with this store is........ They carry Buddy the Cake Boss, whole cakes and cakes slices. If you are a fan, which my mother and sister love his cakes, my mother loves his show. They have carrot cake, chocolate fudge and his rainbow cake. I'm not impressed with the bakery area. This locations has nothing on the selections at the Walmart location located at 141/Manchester road. They have the BEST liquor aisle I have ever seen in ANY Walmart!! I love it! There is liquor in the 2 aisles that I have NEVER seen anywhere. They have the magnum bottles of wines, cocktail shots, little bottles of wine cocktails for $1.50.......don't recommend, tried the long island ice tea had to throw it out. I also purchased the margarita, scared to even crack it open.....remember it says it's a wine cocktail. It's uniquely disgusting..... They Bailey's reasonably priced, if you can't make it over to Total Wine. They have pre-mixed cocktails that are ready to serve, a HUGE selection of wines and spirits. I'm a sucker for Old El Paso's taco shells, since they have been coming out with the new unique flavors since the Nacho Cheese Blast, TaKis, Ranch and Jalapeno Cheddar....which you can purchase all of these varieties here except the TaKis which were discontinued. I bought a 86.00 dollar lasko floor heater. From the beginning it kept shutting off, I thought it was a safety feature and tolerated it, at day 43 it quite working and I tried to take it back. The lady pointed out on the receit it shows they only take back heating products 30 days, I honestly didn't know it, but the result is the same. I have 86.00 lasko floor heater that no longer wotrks. I've been to this Walmart several times in the last couple of months. It's huge and well stocked! The parking lot can be a little crazy. I don't really go to the other stores in this development but some of the stores across the street at Gravois Bluffs are regular stops for me. If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm 4 days post-surgical, just trying to get some supplies to change my dressing and some basic groceries, and while cleaning my wound I get a call from a driver who doesn't speak but three words of English, who doesn't let me explain the situation at all just shouts 'No Engliss!' and hangs up. Obviously, I can't come out to meet him. So he gives up on trying to deliver. Then when I call customer service trying to find out wtf, the lady starts babbling about moving some pin that exists on her side but not mine. There's not an option to do what she insists I need to in order for my delivery to be made. So now I'm out over $100 and I still don't have my fucking medical supplies. Goddamn disgusting. read more

It is always a bit of a crapshoot when you hit a Walmart. Customer service and general organization can be good, great, or terrible. My plug had been put in so tightly into the oil pan that it stripped when i tried to remove it. I had thought that Walmart had changed the oil last but the record of service was long enough past that it was unclear if that was the case. Nevertheless, John the service manager had the plug switched out and the oil topped off so I could get home to change the oil myself. Any oil change that I have done in the future will be done by Walmart. read more

Walmart is an easy target, I know. Their business model isn't exactly geared to make the individual shopper feel special and seen. I don't do much in-the-store shopping as a result, but that's because I know how it goes and accept that reality. So this posting is about order pick-up. I place online orders at least 2x/week and have been very satisfied. Exactly 3 times things that were said to be in the order were missing and each time I was issued a speedy refund through a combination of web-based and phone support, and have been given additional credits for future orders. I would prefer they could deliver the missing items without charge, but I understand why that isn't feasible. Anyhow, on the whole online order pick-up at this location is very easy and keeps our family's pantry full. I'm always Leary about perishables I didn't select personally (meat, veg, etc. but I've only been less than satisfied once, when some salad mix was clearly browning and going bad, again, a refund was easy. I can't speak much or we'll to the in-person shopping here, but I can confidently recommend curbside pickup! Hope your experience is like mine! read more

I would give this store 0 STARS but here I go anyways. This store is AWFUL. The customer service and the management are non-existent. Today, I have spent 29 minutes ON HOLD trying to speak with Customer Service or a Manager. I have been hung up on 4 times in this process. This store needs to get their act together. I NEVER GO HERE because I've had this experience once before with to go grocery, where the corporate office got involved after I sat waiting for my groceries for 45 minutes. The only reason I was here today was because I had to pickup a prescription for a family member. Upon checkout - with my three items, the cashier had to change. The man who checked me out was in a seated chair. He checked me out and handed me my bags and I left. When I got home I realized I was missing my hair cutting tools ($40). All I wanted was someone to tell me if they had been turned into Customer Service. As I type this I am at the 30 minute mark. I don't know how this store stays in business. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. It's already enough we, the customers, have to do everything ourselves... You would think when you get a live person at checkout they would MAKE SURE you had all of your items before leaving. Would have liked to give negative stars. I know Walmart could care less about reviews. The front floor manager, Linda needs customer service lessons. I wanted to purchase something that was cheaper online than the store (was $5 cheaper online). The cashier was having issues putting in the online price and called her over. It was taking a longer than anticipated and the line behind me was getting long so I said if it's going to take a long time I don't need the item . Harshly she said she had to look it up on her phone. Finally it came up and finished the transaction. When I was walking out I looked at the receipt and I was charged wrong for the product. So I went to customer service to return item I was just fed up. As I was doing the return Linda came by and told her it still came up wrong. She said no it didn't with out looking at the receipt and an attitude (like how dare you question me). When she looked at it she said here it says the price I was supposed to get. I had to look at it repeatedly to see the 6 (that it looked like) was actually a 5 (like it was supposed to be). I told her I was sorry the 5 looks like a 6 and I read it wrong and kept saying it was the right price on the receipt. She must have been upset because I still returned the item. read more

The store recently remodeled. The Pharmacy is eclectic and spread throughout what was the garden center, automotive, clearance items, paper goods, and kitchen aids. Inverntory is not filled in the same place twice. Aisles have been narrowed and the overall appearance to what was once a well organized store is now a going out of business Five and Dime that has taken old inventory, cheap non-moving clearance, poorly thought out impulse buys goods and just randomly thrown them about. Please, please, corporate undo this and get a qualified manager. read more

I was in the area and needing Prego pasta sauce with some kind of meat . . . specifically spicy sausage. I've been to three Schnuck's stores that did not have any offerings and since I was here, I checked it out. I found two Prego sauces that worked. One a spicy sausage. The other a sausage with roasted garlic. Being in "the place," I bought four 28-oz. bottles of each. If this is where it is, I'm not often in the area, so I stocked up. The checkout clerk was incredibly personable, and she just finished the experience with a smile! read more

Pretty yucky Wal-mart. I walked in and it is just dingy and the displays are non-appealing to the eye. It was dark in the entrance like they were missing a ton of lighting in that area of the store.....They have aisles and aisles of things that are supposed to be on clearance and it is just one big mess and to top it off the prices are not very low. I cannot see myself going back to this location when Arnold is just as close and at least that store is clean, bright, and organized. read more

Ugh... went here on Black Friday. They simply have no clue how to manage a large crowd. Placing pallets in the aisles an hour ahead of time and then blowing a whistle at 10pm & midnight was mayhem. I had to fend off grannies with their swinging purses. I actually took one guy down with a killer leg sweep. ...after the dust settled, I imagined a security guard watching all the carnage and laughing. Seriously Walmart. Don't use their auto body shop. I paid for lifetime rotation and balance at 14 dollars per tire. Went to go get them balanced and rotated and said they couldn't do it bc one tire was slightly more work than the rest. Asked for a refund and they wouldn't give it to me. Said my one tire was already done with the life of the tire that still has plenty of tread. This is absolutely ridiculous. Won't ever go back there. read more

Okay, I made the mistake of going to Walmart on a Saturday. My long line was in the aisle with what I estimated to be a 15-20 minute checkout process (based on my initial call to warn the hubby waiting in the parking lot of the wait). Further insanity continued when I attempted to load the conveyor belt. A candy rack hung over into the belt, which gave a narrow berth. It was not designed with a consumer checking out with toilet paper or stacks of frozen meals. I will mentally smack myself with a reminder to not repeat the timing again. read more

Huge Mart with echo, echo, echo ... Everyone should come here at least once. This place is big. In fact too big, the store has trouble filling the space it has. Unlike Costco that files product to the ceiling, there is lots of horizontal space. Perhaps there isn't enough product made by China yet to fill the gaps. Made for people who like to walk and shop at the same time. Not made for people who dislike exercise from hiking an acre for cough syrup. Trivia: Bananas are 49-cents a pound. They're 79 cents in California. Though I can't comment on the quality, there is lots of variety in the new grocer section. Meats, produce, ready-to-eat, soda, etc are all here. Its a bonafide grocery store with Wally-Style. Union grocers will hate W-mart more sure. Useless trivia: Blimpie's is vendor of choice. Located in Gravois Bluffs, you'll carefully navigate your vehicle through the treacherous traffic of oblivious drivers. read more

November 1, 2013 1-hour Photo center, between 4 &5 pm. The Tall, scraggly, VERY hairy, & almost middle aged guy. You know who you are. I tried to purchase photos for a friend, but was rudely, and uncomfortably questioned "Did you take these?" when some of them "looked professional". I was not the photographer, however, my knowledge to purchasing these photos was 100 % legal and my right to purchase was taken from me. I was refused purchase unless I could show proof of copy-right of the photos. I was trying to surprise a friend by decorating her apartment with photographs of her and her family. I was given copies of these photographs to print. There are only 2 cases here. 1. The photographer was not a professional so, no copy-right receipt exists, thus making it impossible to convince this dim-witt employee that its legal for me to buy the photos. 2. The pictures were from a professional, but the photos were not proofs & they had no copy-right restriction printed on the photo. And since my friend's family has other copies and prints of the photos they share at home and facebook, my guess in this case the copy-right has been purchased. Ultimately, I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable or be treated rudely when it comes to purchasing photos. I was doing nothing wrong but trying to be thoughtful for a friend. I was wrongfully accused of trying to commit a crime. DO NOT PURCHASE PHOTOS FROM WAL-MART! I WENT TO WALGREENS IMMEDIATELY AND HAD NO PROBLEM RIGHTFULLY PURCHASING MY PICTURES. read more

So a friend recommended this store to me praising the deals and wide selection. Apparently the store is well known but I've never heard of it. I found it too big and rather impersonal. The staff was indifferent and the are, seemingly, forcing elderly people to greet incoming patrons. A nice gesture but a bit strange. However, I did get my grocery shopping done, my oil changed and my photos developed. In the end, I'm not "a fan" of Walmart and probably won't be back except if I ever need anything. read more

I am not really a fan of Walmart, I think they are not what they stand for anymore, I think they are too big and too cocky with their ways. Honestly I do not think I say any more than going elsewhere. The only real reason I go is because they are open 24 hrs. I wish the other stores would get to be 24 hr. I ordered a toy on line and was not satisfied with it. I tried returning it to the store and they would not let me because it was outsourced to a third party by Walmart and I would have to return it to them. I contacted the third part, EDO Trading Co, they said they would not pay for me to ship it back and I would have to pay a restocking fee! This is absurd! They said they could credit my account 20% of what is spent which was $60. So I only received $12! Nowhere on walmarts website does it say these items annoy be returned to the store. I will never set foot in a Walmart again. Their customer service is terrible. From now on my shopping will be done at Target. read more

I work in the Jackson Hewitt kiosk in this store and I have to say that the staff and customers are the friendliest bunch of Wal-Marties I have ever met. I enjoy coming in every day because they all make this place somewhere I want to be. The girls at Academy Bank are super helpful and smart, the Stylists at Smart Style are amazing and talented, and the managers here make sure to handle any problems quickly and efficiently! read more

We've lived in Fenton for 34 years had mixed feelings about the first Wal-Mart going in as it closed down a lot of mom and pop operations. But guess what, they turned out to be pretty good neighbors. Tom who has been their manager for just about forever is a fantastic person who helps with school, scouts, all kind of community things - you just have to write it out or call and give him time to think about it and how it can be done. Most of their staff are really nice and will help you to find whatever you need. It makes me wonder how people complaining about the staff treated them to make them unfriendly. In all the years we've shopped there never once have I had someone go in the back to check something and never come back -it's like there is a black hole at other stores that snatches sales people up and they never return. The new store is huge and can be confusing, the produce and meat are low cost items but that is what they do. Certainly better perishable products can be found at Dierbergs but it's going to cost considerably more. Can't beat the prices in canned goods and other staples at least 25% less than Shop'nSave sometimes more everyday. As for people, it's a pretty wide spread. You're going to see people and things you probably aren't going to see anywhere else. But guess what - no one has ever bothered me or anyone in my family. It's live and let live at a grand scale with an unbelievable mix of characters. It's always an adventure. When I had 6 surgeries in one year, late at night 2-3 am sometimes my husband would take me up to Wal-Mart to get out and ride around in the store. I was probably one of those people who people shook their heads at as they went by. But that whole horrible year, I was treated with kindness by just regular down home hard working people stocking shelves late at night. Everything and everyone always has room for improvement but overall I'm really happy we have our 24 hour Wal-Mart and I think the people working there are some of the nicest people I'm met in a store setting. read more
