I always use the Gallatin Walmart and have had no problem till today. I hate when a company says that they strive on good customer service and it isn't passed down to the employees who work there. My problem started at the customer service desk I was return an item that I bought on line thru Walmart.com and had to bring it back to the store cause the jacket didn't fit. I encountered the most rudest person in the store. She acted also like she didn't want to be bothered or wanted me to do her job. She said my order was thru a 3rd party company and that I would have to buy a box so they could send it back. That wasn't a problem. She didn't want to help me or tell how to get what I needed to have it ship back She was just hateful. So I told her don't worry about it I will go get my Box myself. Then I ask another employee where I could find a shipping box and she also looked at me like don't bother me and told me where it was located at and ran off without a thanks you or could I show you where it is. Got my box all by myself paid for it and went back to the customer service desk. This time I got a very nice and helpful women who got me my money back on my card and ship my item back in my box and told me thank you and have a Merry Christmas. So to the CEO and store managers of the stores if you preach and say you have great customer service you better may sure everyone understand that and does it. Because ya need to improve in this area or just say ya have no customer services at all and it is a self service store. You need the best people at the customer service desk because that is where the people get a good look at how the company treats their customers. AUTOMOTIVE DEPARTMENT I was terribly disappointed with the service of the automotive department, Gallatin Tennessee Walmart. I made an appointment to get one tire replaced. They told me over the phone that they had that tire in stock. I showed up the next day for the appointment. Most of the employees were standing around talking and ignoring the customers that clearly needed to be helped. Finally somebody asked what they could do for me. I inform them I was there for an appointment to get my tire changed. They looked me up in the computer and told me that the tire I was requesting is not available and I would have to drive to Hendersonville to pick up the tire. Mind you, I had a donut on my car and it is not advised to drive very far on a donut. No one seemed to care and they were more interested in talking about management issues. There was one guy who seemed to be more knowledgeable and in charge than everyone else but he seemed fixated on trying to scare everybody with his creepy contacts, multiple piercings and tattoos. I really don't care about that stuff but he was not friendly and he was trying to get a reaction out of everybody. After I got the tire, I then had to wait another hour for it to be put on. After I got home I realized that they put grease all over the hubcap and didn't bother to wipe it off. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience. One employee, her name was Carol was amazing and very helpful. There was also a new girl I can't remember her name but she was wonderful. read more

when you are having to do your own "self checkout" do you actually need an "assistant" (rude employee) arguing that the clearly marked- on multiple items- clearance stickers - were "old stickers"? And trying not to honor sticker prices. - false advertisement. you are already having to do all the work yourself!'Shopping then checking yourself! Then she says i "need to say please" to speak with a manager? guess she never worked at any publix where if they make mistake and price item wrong you get that item Free! You will also never reach anyone by phone ever -at this Walmart. One positive, on the flip side. electronics and phone guys and electronics lady dept manager have always been great, if you are shopping for phones computers or electronics. I purchased an Air conditioner from this Walmart, it was used. They had sold,it had been returned and they taped it up and put it back on the shelf as new. I called the store and asked why they would do put a used item back out for sale. I told them I would keep it so I installed it. At the end of the phone I was told they would give me a 20.00 gift card for the trouble. The air conditioner was defective and would not cool so I called and told them I was returning it. Guess what, they refused to give me the 20.00 give card. The customer service manager was rude and unprofessional. She was supposedly training someone. What a poor excuse of a manager. So I call the corporate office customer service and was lied to about a promo code that they would send me. They never sent the email. I will never purchase anything from Walmart again. read more

Auto Service - arrived at 8:30am due to object in my tire. Only one car in the shop and no one in front of me. It took until 10:00am after car was in the shop, in the air and returned to parking lot to learn that they could not repair. No options about putting the spare on or buying new tire. In these days of limited/poor/absent customer service, it is especially nice to see a group of people who seem to actually want to help you AND be perfectly nice about it. Walmart Gallatin Pharmacy (Matt and his whole staff) are always pleasant, always helpful but this week, they had to go a step beyond and did it with smiles on their faces and in their voices. It seems my veterinarian changed their protocol for renewing prescriptions and the word of that didn't get to me and certainly, not to the pharmacy. After several days of checking on the script refill via the Walmart website, I went into the store and spoke with Matt, inquiring about why the pharmacy says they requested the refill, the vet says they didn't. He checked his records, yes, they had requested it. So, he called the vet's office himself to find out what was up. That's when he discovered the change on the vet's side. After a bit of back and forth, he got the proper authorization and filled my script. He explained to me what happened (which I later addressed with the vet's office) and all was well. This was in no way shape, form, or fashion Walmart's (Matt and staff) issue. But Walmart (Matt and staff) solved the problem. And incidentally, this is not the first time I've had an issue with a script that was not this pharmacy's issue. And they solved that one too. Their score is two out of two on problems solved. Went here today to return a lock. Went to get another lock before going to customer service. I said I wanted to return this and get this other lock and they said they can't do it. I asked to speak to a manager and asked for the district mangers number and it seemed like it was a big deal to get me that number. It's not that hard to scan one item and then scan another item and give me the difference. They were saying they can't track that but if they scan both items, they can track it just fine. I was returning a defective movie, and found a replacement, took both to Electronic desk. Amber told me if the new one was defective, I couldn't replace it. (It was the last one.) Say she has to open the new one due to copyright crap. I said, so if the new one is defective, you have my money and I have bupkiss. Called the manager. Repeated the story to her and Amber back-pedals, with I didn't mean it that way,; the manager says you can get any movie to replace it. Left Electronic dept, but my friend was hanging around, long enough to hear Amber say "She's one of "those". So. I'm one of "those" any day, when someone doesn't know their job and how to express themselves in a clear manner. read more

I took my car in to have the oil changed on 7-8, today while driving home my oil light came on. I checked it when I got home and it was almost empty! We checked the plug and it was barely screwed in. When I called the auto center a lady answered and she put me on hold to talk to the manager. She came back and asked if I could bring it in tomorrow at 10 for him to look at it. I said I can't because I have to be at work all the way in Franklin tomorrow. I asked if I could just bring it in now so they could put oil in it. I was told no because they were about to close. This was at 6:45 at this point, 6:30 when I called originally. I told her that we already tightened the oil plug so what was there to look at. I then asked to speak to the Manager and she hung up on me, I tried calling back and they wouldn't answer. What happened to customer service?! All I wanted was for them to make it right by putting more oil in..never again will I go there or to any Walmart Auto. Yes I was frustrated while talking to her but I was not disrespectful or anything but she sure was to me! Absolutely terrible place! read more

The worker Jessie rudely interrupted me during the time I was using self check out grabbed my stuff and put with me with a worker to scan my items without explanation. Jessie proceeded to throw my groceries unorganized and walked away with no remorse and no apology. Horrible costumer service. read more

So when I was going to Walmart to get a fishing rod with about 21 dollars I have saved up ( I am not that big of a fisher ) but when I got there they had the fishing rod I saw the other day when I was there so I was happy but then when I went to go check out with it it was 18 dollars but I said I did not want the 2 year protection plan cause I didn't have enough for it but when I scanned it it said 25 dollars and doing the math of the taxes which is 0.09 it didn't make sense but when I called for a employee I waited the first time then the second I waited more then finally the third one Nancy came over. Then when I said that this item was supposed to be 18 and now it's 25 dollars she said that it was the tax which didn't add up cause it was now saying that without tax it was 22 dollars but she said tax but then Nancy said to my step dad that it was cause I am under 18, that's why I could not get it when they was not the problem it was the money problem so then she called over Martha and she scanned it and said that on the website it was saying that it was still 22 dollars so then Martha and my step dad went to go look at the price tag which said 18 dollars. ( also when Nancy was saying that it was 22 dollars she was saying that she could not bump the price down to 18 cause that's what it said in the website and machine ) Then when Martha and my step dad came back Martha finally put the price down to what it is supposed to be. This Walmart made me feel so unwelcome. Between the door greeter being hateful to anyone that walked past the entrance only swinging doors that forgot a shopping cart and wanted to get one and yelling at people to stop to check their receipt and the "undercover" security that walks so close behind people is unreal. I understand loss prevention but they need to consider customer service as well. I will not return to this Walmart, if I could give no stars I would. read more

Their prices and product is great but their service within the Pickup department is extremely poor to say the least. After giving them 3 chances, I'll be going back to Kroger Clicklist, the slightly higher prices are definitely worth the better service. read more

It's disappointing every time I come in here there's always just one person like working electronics area and the person is always so rude. Walmarts prices are always cheaper on the websites than they are in store and they do not honor their prices on their website in their store and they tried to turn it on you and make you feel stupid. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. I have been sitting outside the grocery pick up since 7 pm and it is now 8:20 pm. I got a text at 7, the time I was supposed to be here and got here that my order was going to be late. I have been checked in on 3 different occasions and each time told 10 more minutes. I have watched these incompetent employees bring groceries out to people who got here after me. This is the most pathetic experience I have ever had. The kid is now here delivering and said he was sorry because he had to go into the store to get some of my items. I was also told this very thing on 3 different occasions. Order from the deli / bakery with extreme caution! Ordered fried chicken for 50 last week. Arrived and there was no record of the order. Place is a complete mess. If you order cakes/food/deli trays, etc from this location, don't count on it being ready when you need it. Do not waste your time dealing with the incompetent employees in the tire shop. I left work this evening to find my tire was low. When airing the tire, I found a sheet metal screw in the tire. Wal Mart would have been my last option for car repair but they were the only option available at the time as others were closed. I dealt with employee 1 who told me they did not have time. I said it just needs a plug, so he got his supervisor to take a look and rub on the tire. The Supervisor agreed to fix the tire. Employee number two begins working and then comes back inside to tell me the hole is too large and they do not have a patch or plug to fit it. Remember, this is a small screw. At that point, I just laughed at the situation and realized the incompetency of the employees. I walked around the corner from the tire shop to the first isle and purchased a pack of plugs,drove to the nearest convenient store and installed the plug. Repair took less than two minutes and I drove home (40) miles with no issues. My point is that I no mechanic but if a non mechanics like myself can quickly resolve the issue, why can't three,what should be, certified techs plug a tire. If they can't plug a tire, they have no business installing tires,changing oil or wiper blades. read more
