We saw it was a newer Publix (deli and bakery separated). Deli was clean and the sub staff were excellent and very friendly. Unfortunately could not say the same for the bakery staff. My daughter asked for a cookie (Publix staple of service) and the staff said we were out. In all my years of going into a Publix, this was the first time I heard of this. My daughter was disappointed to say the least. I asked as we were walking away, you do not have any cookies for the kids. They said no (with their non verbals smirking) and we're laughing that it was funny that they didn't have cookies for the kids. A customer passed by and said, "wow, I've never heard in all my years Publix not having cookies for the kids". Will this be my last time visiting a Publix, no. But, hope to see improvements with customer service and attention to detail in the bakery department.

Lines are long in the 1 or 2 lines that have actual cashiers. When an advertised price rings up incorrectly, which happens frequently, and you notice, the cashier acts as if you're making their job harder. Well, from the moment I stepped in to the store, I was impressed with the layout, the cleanliness, condition of the aisles, and most of all the friendly employees. Easy to obtain a temporary shopping card for discounts while awaiting a permanent one in the mail. Very easy to shop. I have shopped Kroger's for 60 years and still have difficultly locating items at times, but at Food Lion it was effortless. Employees are so willing to assist if needed; one employee saw me looking for a plastic bag to package vegetables and ran and got me one. SWEET. Met the Manager, Kevin McGuire who was extremely nice and appreciative of my telling him that he had a nice store. Spent 27.00 and some change for a weeks groceries. UNBELIEVEABLE MEAT PRICES !!!!!!!!!!

The deli is full of delicious looking items. The friendly and cheerful staff seem to genuinely enjoy their work, which is evident in their helpfulness and positive attitudes. The pharmacy team is knowledgeable and courteous, always ready to assist with a smile. I don't mind making a special trip to this store for my grocery needs.

We are still experimenting with their generic brands, but love their English muffins and Raisin Bran. We have also found their spicy mustard really good, and the ketchup has great flavor, although it's thinner than the name brand. Organic produce is available although the selection can be limited, but we change our menu as it's usually much cheaper at Aldi. The only thing we really have to watch and show competitively is meat, although they win out half the time. Canned veggies and fruits are staples and always cheaper unless you see a really good sale elsewhere. This store has really saved us $$ on our grocery budget.

My problem started at the customer service desk I was return an item that I bought on line thru Walmart.com and had to bring it back to the store cause the jacket didn't fit. I encountered the most rudest person in the store. She acted also like she didn't want to be bothered or wanted me to do her job. She said my order was thru a 3rd party company and that I would have to buy a box so they could send it back. That wasn't a problem. She didn't want to help me or tell how to get what I needed to have it ship back She was just hateful. So I told her don't worry about it I will go get my Box myself. Then I ask another employee where I could find a shipping box and she also looked at me like don't bother me and told me where it was located at and ran off without a thanks you or could I show you where it is. Got my box all by myself paid for it and went back to the customer service desk. This time I got a very nice and helpful women who got me my money back on my card and ship my item back in my box and told me thank you and have a Merry Christmas. So to the CEO and store managers of the stores if you preach and say you have great customer service you better may sure everyone understand that and does it. Because ya need to improve in this area or just say ya have no customer services at all and it is a self service store. You need the best people at the customer service desk because that is where the people get a good look at how the company treats their customers. Today Walmart at Gallatin Tn got a F from me for customer service . Will not be back.

AUTOMOTIVE DEPARTMENT I was terribly disappointed with the…read moreservice of the automotive department, Gallatin Tennessee Walmart. I made an appointment to get one tire replaced. They told me over the phone that they had that tire in stock. I showed up the next day for the appointment. Most of the employees were standing around talking and ignoring the customers that clearly needed to be helped. Finally somebody asked what they could do for me. I inform them I was there for an appointment to get my tire changed. They looked me up in the computer and told me that the tire I was requesting is not available and I would have to drive to Hendersonville to pick up the tire. Mind you, I had a donut on my car and it is not advised to drive very far on a donut. No one seemed to care and they were more interested in talking about management issues. There was one guy who seemed to be more knowledgeable and in charge than everyone else but he seemed fixated on trying to scare everybody with his creepy contacts, multiple piercings and tattoos. I really don't care about that stuff but he was not friendly and he was trying to get a reaction out of everybody. After I got the tire, I then had to wait another hour for it to be put on. After I got home I realized that they put grease all over the hubcap and didn't bother to wipe it off. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience. One employee, her name was Carol was amazing and very helpful. There was also a new girl I can't remember her name but she was wonderful.
