If I could rate less than a star I would, Everytime I walk into in this store I always have the weirdest experiences with the people who shop here, ive been harrassed by people, peopel try to sell me stuff while ive gorecy shopped ( not walmarts fault) but what is walmarts fault is the lines are miles long, they shut down half the self check outs and never have enough people working there (corporate issue). I went into there to do a cake order and they were backed up for over a week again under staffed please help the workers. Theres spoiled fruit knocked over in the shelfs and alot of shelves bare. I went to leave and all the exits are blocked my guess to stop people from stealing but i bought nothing and I had to walk through the self check outs section to leave very unfun when its over cowrded. I used to shop here before the amazon fresh store opened but it just closed so I thought id give it a look over while trying to order a cake. Avoid at all costs. Posting this as a warning to other shoppers. My experience at the Walmart in Glen Burnie, MD was extremely disappointing due to poor customer service and the way I was treated. What should have been a simple return turned into an unnecessary and frustrating situation. Even with a receipt for an item purchased in-store, staff refused to process the return and offered no clear explanation or attempt to help. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Management seriously needs to step in at this location to address how customers are treated and ensure employees are following store policies. I purchased a coloring book online for $8.00. When it arrived there was a $3.00 sticker on the cover. I called customer service to see if I could get a refund for the difference. I was told no, that the price online is the items price. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. When the supervisor answered she restated the same thing and told me there was nothing that could be done. I again, tried to explain that the price on the book was only $3.00 and that if I attempted to remove the sticker the book would be destroyed. Keep in mind, the other book did not have a sticker and I paid less than $8.00 for it. The supervisor again said there was nothing that could be done. I asked for a refund and was told one would be started but it never was. I went to my local Walmart, explained the same issue and was given a refund for the difference along with an apology for the inconvenience. With that being said, the customer service department online/ over the phone has really gone downhill. I hope the Walmart corporation finds better employees to deal with their customers online/over the phone, then what they currently have. I trried to call back three days in a row to see if the key was turned in, but only one time did someone answer...who put me on hold for at least an hr. I'm typically not a huge fan of Walmart because it's usually packed, unorganized and too much going on for me. I do however order from Walmart.com on occasion and prices are typically very fair. I ordered a couple items online for pickup so I didn't have to shop around and I could be in and out of the store. I got there and my order was not ready. The young gentleman, who was very polite, went to get my two items. He came back with only one and asked the Manager if it was in stock elsewhere. The Manager, I believe his name was Anthony Woolford, from what my receipt says told me that the other item was not available until their next shipment. Anthony asked if I was ok with substituting it with something else. I was fine with that, as long as I wouldn't have to pay extra. He came back with something better than comparable and gave that to me instead of what I originally purchased. The Manager did a great job taking care of me as a guest and made a bad situation into a good one. I was very happy with the service and the way he handled the situation. He could have told me "Sorry, it's not available", like what most people would've done but he didn't. Thanks again! read more

Everyone has attitudes when asked very simple questions. Management doesn't care about the safety or satisfaction of their customers. The most horrible experience with online ordering for photos. Ordered one day and after a couple of hours tried calling multiple times but nobody picks up. Went to the actual store and they said they don't have anymore ink and they would call me when they were ready. No calls after 3 days. I call myself and still nobody answers through the electronic line, online pickup and delivery line, or store operator line. I finally got through at some point to some employee and explained my situation. They ultimately said they were going to transfer me and proceeded to hang up. I'll be taking my services to CVS where it should've been done from the beginning. read more

Walmart and AT&T , electronic department, Glen Burnie, MD 21060 Never buy a phone and change phone carriers with these two companies! I signed up for the Unlimited Max plan, which requires a new single line, purchase of a new device and in-store activation - $50 per month, unlimited data, 10GB mobile hotspot, 100 GB cloud storage. Customer service at AT&T informed me that they do not have this plan!!!!! After countless hours of calling and talking to a SIX customer service representatives from AT&T, I did not receive what I paid for. This is complete fraud! I personally went back to Walmart electronics department and a young lady informed me it's out of their hands and to contact AT&T customer service. I went to a AT&T store and I was informed they never heard of this deal. In the end, I was con and robbed. I did not receive any help from Walmart geek squad, they failed to return my phone calls. My first AT&T billed was $112, but it was changed to $72. Walmart & AT&T should be investigated. Today, I am on some different phone plan, with no hotspot data and no cloud storage. I do not know what my next bill will be because taxes and other fees will apply. There's even a fee to deactivate my phone. Customer assistance from AT&T did not know or will not tell me the fee costs! This is horrible! I should have stand with T-Mobile!!! Dearly noted, when I purchased the phone, OSL, personnel Youly was excellent. The store is big and it does have a good grocery section. Will say the women's clothing section never has anything worth looking at/ it's hard to find anything. The beauty/pharmacy area is the smallest I've ever seen and it's never stocked. Don't waste your time looking for any beauty products because you won't find them. Lines can get very long and I've seen 2 cashiers max at once. I went at 8pm tonight and couldn't return my item as every single member of staff was dealing with 2 customers. Went to checkout and not a single cashier was working; had to do self checkout (not that it's bothersome but then we had an issue ringing up an onion it was a whole fiasco). This review is for their online grocery and pickup only. First order for online delivery went horribly. They called and said the order would be delayed because items were missing. After describing these items, I said that they can go ahead and deliver the others becuase they weren't needed. Once the delivery arrived late, the missing items weren't missing but it was other important items that were missing. They also charged me for all items but gave a $20 coupon for future use. The most recent experience for online grocery pickup was just as bad. When I arrived at the scheduled pickup time, there was a 30 minute wait after two people came and got my info. Keep in mind this is as simple as picking up items from the shelf. There is no skill involved and is supposed to save time. This took longer than going into the actual store and getting the items myself. Never again. read more

This Walmart has undergone a complete resurfacing and several changes in layout. It has recently been expanded into a new Walmart Supercenter. I was very excited about this, as the store is just minutes away from our home. Also, it's not nearly as crowded as the Quarterfield Rd Walmart, so I prefer to shop here. However, within just a week or two of the grocery section opening, I found myself staring at moldy strawberries and expired meats. Perhaps it's TOO stocked for the little traffic the store receives? I don't know, but I am definitely a Target fan in the Target vs. Walmart debate, and this experience has only reinforced my reasons why. The items were very common such as cheese bananas onions and paper plate but they didn't even try to substitute. We went to the same location we ordered from next morning and they had plenty of every single item they said was gone. Shoppers are lazy and don't want to take the time so just mark as not there. The managers or CSM's know what they are doing at this one have a neighborhood Walmart about 5 mins away and instead I go about 20 mins away even if it is for just a gallon of milk and I think that says a lot. read more

This place is such a joke. It's always dirty, and they keep expired product on the shelves. Check the date on your fresh meats, often there's out of date items there as well. The employees are more interested in social hour than actually doing their job. How is there a need for 4 CSM's all standing in one area, talking about so-and-so's hair and her 'baby daddies.' When it comes to 'stocking hour' the employees are seen throwing product back and forth down the aisle, screaming and carrying on like teenagers. And we wonder why things are always broken there? Often, they don't have enough produce to properly stock- or as I have been told by one of the few who actually work, the employees can't read so nothing can be stocked. They cut the registers down to 13 and are installing self checkout, which can only be good at this point since a majority of the cashiers have an attitude problem and act like they're afraid to break a nail by lifting a box of cereal. Usually maybe 10 lanes are open, about 15 people deep because apparently everyone goes to lunch at the same time...? Since the new self service checkouts coming, I'm sure it will be down to 3 or for lines. Stay away from here at the first of the month. read more

we recently moved to Glen Burnie, so this walmart is now my shopping stop. We have been here several times very clean and nice employees, except this trip last Friday. I got my stuff went to the self check out by the customer service area, and my socks had no upc, I asked the lady working if she could help she said "there is nothing i can do" and turned around and starting talking to another customer. Now in the process of this i turned around and noticed the guy working in Auntie Anne was eating a pretzel dog in front of everyone not even caring that he was in plain view. Not a huge fan now of this wal-mart. Back ground for me I worked at Wal-Mart for 4 1/2 years, this would have never been tolerated at my store. I was there right around 4 pm on Friday. I was in this store July 29ths One of my bags was left at the store. The cashier had given me all but one as i am disabled and cannot reach them myself.. It was her fault for the left bag. I did ask if I had everything . When i called Customer service the phone rang till they hung up. I called back 3 times and same happened they will not answer the phone.. When I finally got to talk to a woman, and told her the problem, she says Oh My God and hung up on me. So I lost over $20 worth of merchandise. The one Item i know they don't have as i took the last one. A fitted sheet in red. .. What really made me mad was the rudness of the customer service department, they need a lot of training and should be told to never hang up on anyone. read more

There is no notice on the website or even on front doors that senior hour stopped so 15 of us were waiting outside at 6 am until someone FINALLY came out and told us (freezing in the cold). Then I waited in customer service line for 15 minutes to learn store pick up is in another location that doesn't open til 8 am. Okay but no one showed up til 8:15 am. The Glen Burnie, MD Walmart customer service is a flipping nightmare! I was forced to give it a one star, but consider this a very generous, minus one. Got an e-mail that my Walmart order was "ready for pick" up. I had about 20 minutes before I had to leave for an appointment elsewhere when I got to the store. I had ordered several jars of sauce for making Caribbean spiced chicken. This was on 19 Apr 2021, at about 3:15pm. I was directed to park in the pickup lot and call the number provided on signs. As it was, two employees had just come out the side-door that accessed the pick-up lot. One of the two ladies came my car to check on my order. She had a problem at first finding my name on the list, and the second young lady came over to look at the e-mail I showed them with the order number. She said the I had to go inside to the customer service desk to get the order. This was annoying as the service desk was inside and on the other side of the building. With a recent medical condition, I was recovering from, this was difficult for me. Of course, there were four people in front of me at the service desk and only one employee manning the desk at first. Of course, I had to wait ten minutes or more to reach the desk. At this point I was told I had to wait at the pre-order desk next to the service desk. There was no one there at the desk. When a female employee came from what looked like a merchandise storage, she said it was not her job to retrieve items from the room for customers. This was despite the fact she was pushing a shopping cart full of items. Once again, I had to stand and wait another ten minutes for someone to show up. This male employee said it was his job to retrieve internet orders so I gave him my e-mail copy with the order number. He looked at it and plugged the number into his handheld scanner. He then told me that it was not there and that I must go to the fare side of the building on the outside to get the item; yes! the very pace I started this run-around nightmare. I told him that is where I started and on the trek I had been on. He just look at me with a stupid look like there was nothing he could do to help me. At this point, I was livid, I asked him what was the name of the store manager, and her said it was Terrell but he did not know his last name. I asked another employee, the same question, and this guy said it was someone named Chris, but did not know the last name. I was fed up and already 15 minutes late, so I just left without my order. On the way out, I asked the woman at the exit door, what was the store manager's name, and she said, she did not know. Conclusions, the employees at this Walmart store are completely incompetent and do not give a darn about their customers. They also seem to be totally ignorant of something important like the name of the store manager or were pretending not to know because they could tell I was not happy. I still never did find out who the store manager was, but judging by the level of incompetence and apathy by his or her employees, this person has no business managing a sand box in the park, let alone, a large store. Of course, the total encounter took more than a half hour, and I was 15 minutes late for my appointment. I have no intention to go back to the Glen Burnie, Maryland store to be put through another nightmare cluster fandango. I am forced to find my sauce at another food store. Bottomline: I believe this store is a complete disaster. I believe you would have to be an idiot to do any business with these incompetent ignoramuses. read more

Got an associate to help, she went as asked someone to page...I went to help for help again, she asked a young lady if she was at lunch, then told me she will ask someone to help, but instead had another page sent out and the young lady just stood there and kept staring our way....after that, Every associate that walked just kept walking ignoring us all (5 of us total now)...After 30min, we heard another page and that's when the same lady that was asked if she was at lunch came to help and just stood there staring our way came to help, when she could have helped 15 mins ago!!!! My husband and I used to love this Walmart. But unfortunately everytime we go there now the employees (most of them) are not customer service friendly. If you ask a question or need assistance with anything the employees give you looks like you are bothering them or putting them out. You feel uncomfortable or I get irritated with the situation. They are almost always on their phones or having loud conversations with other employees. The shelves in the grocery area are hardly stocked and most times what you are looking for is not there. Today we went in atound 9am and the lady greeting the right side door near the pretzel shop was talking to another employee I said "Good Morning " was ignored she didn't even look at me or my husband until I raised my voice and said it again. And we needed soap so my husband had to track down a employee and they finally got a woman with bright pink hair to come over and she had a look on her face like we were bothering her, We got the soap and continued our shopping as we passed the hair dye area we see her and another employee standing around talking and checking their phones. The long grey haired lady was eating and threw her trash in the bag she had. Did she buy it? Was she supposed to be eating on the floor? It really isn't a professional environment at all. I know we were in there 30 min and maybe 4 employees out of probably 25 we saw were not on their phones and were actually working. Not one did I see smile or seem welcoming please work on this. We will not be returning to this location. And most of the people I know have also stopped going to this location. read more

This Walmart location is terrible. I've only been here once and I can say for sure I will not be back. I can tell you if you live in this area it is worth the extra drive to go to the Ellicott City or the Severn location. The store was disorganized and the women's bathroom was absolutely filthy. Witnessed two employees leave a stall and then leave the bathroom without washing their hands...gross. Upon leaving, my husband and I had maybe 5 items so we did the self checkout lane next to the self checkout area and it indicated we needed an associates help. The light at our register blinked red for about five minutes while we watched the self checkout employee hang out. Finally we took our cart over to the area of self checkout where there is a bunch of registers and scanned our stuff. We got our receipt and at this point the associate I mentioned along with another woman who worked in that section are standing there gabbing away and blocking the exit from self checkout. We get up to them and just stand there for a minute and the lady eventually moves. She doesn't say a word to us. Have you ever not frequented a business for years and decided to return to see if anything has changed? Surprise, this location is still a terrible place to shop (yes, I can hear the chorus of duhs). 75% of what is listed as available online for pick up is not stocked in the store. This was a Saturday morning at 9AM! Since I had my own bags and only a 1/4 of the items I needed I decided to scan and bag myself. The scanner counted 2 items as 3. I couldn't edit the system so I pressed the help button. The one employee in this department ignored the red light over my station and crawled right past me. I ended up walking away and going to the cashiers. Thankfully, the cashier was a lovely woman and appreciated that I bagged my own groceries. It's a shame that the enormous profits earned by this corporation never trickledown to improve store conditions. read more

While the selection and location of this store are great for me, what earns a one star rating is the customer service. I came in late in the evening to buy some groceries, and also to get some quarters to do laundry, as where I was staying did not currently have any quarters. I went through the checkout line once, and found the cashier, Donyetta, was completely uncommunicative and absolutely unresponsive when spoken to. I would completely understand this if she had been busy or engaged, but there was no one else in line. As I left the parking lot, I realized I had forgotten to get quarters. I returned to the store and asked if it would be possible to get them, and Donyetta said that it was only possible to get change if a purchase was made at the same time. I know this is common procedure, so I went and got something to purchase. There was a small line at this point, and as I neared the front I saw that she had begun to count her drawer. I then asked if it would be possible to get change, and was told they didn't have any quarters they would be able to give me. So on top of being unresponsive and cold-shouldering, Donyetta was well aware that she would not be giving me change, even after telling me how to go about getting it. She wasted not only her time, but mine as well, and conducted herself with a poor attitude. With the closeness of Target and the better customer service I've had there, I will not be returning to Wal Mart because of Donyetta. read more

I have been shopping at your store every Tuesday for years. I have always found it a pleasant experence . But here lately I go in to find empty shelves . Items I usually buy bi-weekly are now empty, but that's okay I will just get it next week wrong it.s still empty. Changed the day I go to Wednesday still empty , how about Thursday I've got a 50 - 50 Chance. I spend hundreds every week don't think I shound have to go to two different stores to get the item I usually get at one. I am very unhappy with the Walmart Glen Burnie Super Store, I can order what I need and pick it up on Tuesday, or I can just go to another store completly and I'd hate that cause I really enjoy my shopping day at Walmart.
