Horrible customer service! Went out to find potting soil and a bag of compost. The only compost was up on the second tier in the outside 'alley'. I went inside and spoke to the man sitting at the door. He said to go to customer service up front and tell them to send someone to help. When I did that I was told 'they are remodeling and you can't get any help today'. This store has started to build an awful reputation due to this attititude. read more

I honestly avoid Walmarts. I hate the one back home and so I've just avoided them in general. This one is okay. The employees aren't the friendliest, but isn't that the standard for Walmart? This one also does -not- have a vision center. It'd be so convenient if they did, especially with the area booming. I have to make the drive all the way out to the Evans Walmart for glasses when my kiddo somehow breaks a pair. You won't often find me here. I go to Walmart often and today spent about $150 and not one person that works there even says hello, goodbye, or thank you and while I'm checking myself out at the one of six registers today that were open, out of 30 or so, the girl "guarding" us was on her phone and yawning, and having the best time of her own. DO NOT GO TO THIS WALMART UNLESS YOU WANT TO LEAVE PISSED OFF. I've gone there since they opened, and always leave PISSED OFF. I can never get all I came to get because THEY DON'T HAVE IT in stock (though they might say they do!). It is dirty - NASTY - and they NEVER have what you want if you have a list more than 5 items long. NOR DO THE EMPLOYEES WEAR THEIR MASKS PROPERLY - apparently they are a bunch of mouth breathers since many have them pulled down below their nose, or around their neck. This LAST TIME (and I assure you, it WILL be the last time!) I went (today) I had a simple 10 item list of things they supposedly stock. They only had THREE of the items, and then when I get to the self-checkout, know what? THEY WILL NOT MAKE CHANGE FOR CASH PURCHASES! THE MACHINES REFUSED TO! I ONLY pay with cash because I don't want my purchases tracked. Plus, I don't trust Walmart's databases because they're so easily hacked! So I dumped my cart right there and left, and NEVER WILL GO BACK. I'd rather pay higher prices elsewhere than put up with their slovenly ways, filthy store, and 9/10's of the items being out of stock, and now this NEW INSULT - you cannot get any change back at the self-checkout on cash purchases. Well apparently this location has implemented some type of "it depends on who you are" type of product limit policy. I picked up two containers of wipes and was told by the checker there was a limit of one. She refused to have anyone accompany me to the display. After going back and taking a picture she told me it didn't matter. I asked for the manager and after waiting for 10 minutes he backed her up. I asked if he could have the display marked as have a limit, as all others tems were, but he stated it would require unnecessary time and labor to do that. read more

I have perfect credit, all the required ID's, a check for under $5,000.00 from a 401k disbursement issued from a large bank. If you've been to Walmart, you've pretty much been to this Walmart already. It's set up exactly like a standard Walmart and they have a decent selection of products and most items are always in stock. The employees are really hit or miss for if they are helpful or not. The main issues is just trying to find someone if you need to buy a large item or items that require a case to be unlocked (ie videogames or ammo). Overall, however this is one of the better Walmarts I've been to. read more

My five stars go to Nathan-an employee that was called on by the employees working the returns counter yesterday when I was at the store. He not only came and helped both cashiers that were having trouble with items not scanning correctly, but then asked the women waiting on layaway pickups if they had been helped and checked the status of their pickups, but then asked the gentleman in front of me that was returning a button battery if he got it from the jewelry counter and when the man said "yes, I thought I grabbed a size 894 but I grabbed an 884." called the jewelry counter and asked them if they had the correct size and went and got it for the man. Like most people, I've been to a billion Walmart locations. However, the staff at this location are significantly more friendly than any location I've been to. Everyone is super friendly, welcoming, and willing to make conversation. Most Walmart stores I've shopped at have had employees that were very stressed, stand-offish, and so on. I'm very impressed with the kindness of the staff here. The layout is a little different then what I'm used to, but it's still easy to navigate. read more

Visiting from California and wherever you live, you should know that Walmart has a bad label. It's just their stereotype. However, I would love to have this particular store where I live! It's so organized compared to the ones near me. Every part of the store, items were easily visible. Whether you're in the toy section, or looking for a canned good over on the other side of the store, it's easy. Customer service could be better though. Our cashier was gossiping to her coworker about another person they work with, which I thought was unprofessional. She didn't smile at us at all, either. Let me preface this by saying I hate Walmarts. And this one was only a stop of necessity, brought on my poorness. As far as Walmarts go, this is one of the better ones I've been to. Which, one again, isn't saying much. Since it's been recently built, it has still retained a clean atmosphere. Clean bathrooms, clean parking lot, clean store in general. Solid 3 star establishment, and the only reason I would even bother with that one extra star is that it's got a gas station attached, which is really cheap. And being a poor college student who visits home only once in a while, it's better if I fill up on cheap gas before I drive back to Atlanta. It's also got a lot of other stores surrounding it, and a lot of stores in the process of being built, and it's located right off the highway, so it's an easy stop before I'm on my way. read more

WOW! The rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. I left two items on the register (yes, my fault) but when I called to see about just getting a refund instead of going back, the woman starts asking me why I bought two items I didn't want. They were for dinner that night and it was on the way home. It would've been at least 30 minutes to go back and deal with that. At the end of the call I could hear her eyes rolling! Wow I hate Walmart! It is NEVER a good experience! And! No baskets to be found in the storefront! One of the worst Walmart's I've been to. Just moved to the area and yes this Walmart is very clean, it is not however stocked well. If you have a list of items you can almost bet your bottom dollar that you'll end up having to finish your shopping at another store. While I've only had one problem with an employee, that was resolved quickly not by management but by me making my purpose quite clear in a professional way. After it was all said and done I went on about my day and I'm sure "said" employee did as well...but with a lesson learned. Disclaimer. I stopped at this Walmart on a recent road trip. It was just off of I 20 and since it was early in the morning of course a Walmart super center would be open. I used to live in this area a few years ago and I will say this area has exploded with new developments and businesses. Actually it comes as no surprise since Columbia County where this Walmart is located ranks as one of the fastest growing counties in the country. It is located in the Gateway shopping center and on this particular morning I found myself running out of my snacks quickly at the start of my road trip. I decided to stop at this Walmart to restock on some caffeine products. Not sure why but starting off on a road trip is the roughest part for me. This Walmart was alright. Despite it being early in the morning there were actually people at the registers. Well one person but usually at this time in the morning people are doing double duty and you have to wait and hope someone notices you are the register. The employee was upbeat at the wee hours of the morning and very nice. Even gave me a suggestion as to what places I could get some coffee from that were about to open this early in the morning in the local area. The store is very clean and it goes back to the good Walmart and the bad Walmart. Well this is a good one. read more

I ordered items on-line and attempted to pick them up at the store. Went to the pickup desk and was greeted (or should say NOT greeted) by two young women. When they asked what I needed, I told them that I was there to pick up an order. Both women walked off without a word. I waited ten minutes and then one came back and asked if the other was helping me. I said that I really didn't know since she just walked away. Finally, the other employee came back and told me that they didn't have anyone there who knew how to operated the equipment (wouldn't that be a scanner?) to find my order and that I would "HAVE TO come back at 11:00" to get it. No apology for the inconvenience. Well, there are many things that I have to do in this life but shopping at WalMart is certainly not one of them. I cancelled the order and reminded myself that this is why Amazon is my favorite store. read more

This Walmart is better than most. It's clean and friendly, but most if the time it's hard to find a Walmart associate to help you. They can be found however bunched up at the Subway restaurant located at the front of the store. If you order somethibg online don't expect to much customer service from customer service at this location. I have ordered several things online and even after receiving emails from Fedx and Walmart stating that my orders were ready for pick up customer service could not find the order or had no records of it being delivered or never brought the order up to the front of the store so that it could be picked up. This use to be a A+ location but standards related to customer service in general has dropped considerably over the past year. This location is very easy to get in and out of and is located right off interstate 20 at exit 190 in Grovetown. read more

Sorry customer service. Called to see if they had a tv in stock before heading over. No one picked up in electronics so I called main number and told them I needed to find out if they had a tv in stock and no one was picking up in electronics. She said she had to transfer me over to electronics again anyway, so I was transferred, waited, no one picked up again. Call main number again, asked for manager, same lady told me to hold, waited 5 min before hanging up because no one answered, again. read more

Checkout service was awful! The lady at the register (Kayla) was rude and not helpful at all. When I asked if she was going to help place grocery in the cart because some of the other registers had two people she rolled her eyes at me and continued to check out the next customer. The next customer looked at her and then me and shook her head in disbelief. The store is nice and clean but when you have workers with that type of attitude, it makes you not want to go there anymore. She needs to have more of a helpful attitude. Not good!!!! read more

Pros: -Very clean and great parking Cons: -Customer service is awful, most employees are impolite -Phone service is terrible, it takes 5 minutes to get connected to someone to direct your call, then it takes 5 minutes to get to that department and you may or may not be disconnected during the wait. I have called several times and this is almost always the case -There is not much variety in stock for groceries, especially produce. It is very common to leave without a few items on your list because they seem to change which products/brands they provide on a weekly basis. The fruits and vegetables are awful, it always seems like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel to put the minimum amount in stock Now specifically for today at 2100 EST, Thursday, December 11th 2014. Location: 5010 Steiner Way Grovetown, GA 30813. It took 25 minutes to get connected to NOBODY. I called twice. The first call I waited for 5 minutes and I was supposed to be connected to an associate who could assist me with a return, but instead I was disconnected after an additional 5 minutes. The second call the same thing happened except I waited for 10 minutes just to be connected to returns and was disconnected after an additional 5 minute wait. This location is the worst I have ever seen, it has been awful time and time again but it is the only major superstore near me. read more

I visited the store on August 14, at 11:18 on a Sunday morning. Terminal # 283798467. Throughout the store, young men stopped what they were doing to assist me in finding needed items. They would TAKE me to the item and then one offered to hand it down to me because I am in a riding cart - I have handicaps with my legs. The young man at check-out not only bagged my groceries, but unloaded the cart for me and then re-loaded the cart when finished. The courtesy and friendliness displayed by these employees was EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you for hiring the best!! Please thank them for me, that kind of service is RARE and deeply appreciated. Pharmacy Review This is the second time I've gone to the Pharmacy and have had an excessive wait time with a sick child! The first time, my youngest aged 9, was crying because she had strep throat. I had to ask them to expedite her prescription so we could get out of there and get her home! I think they take the pharmacy orders in on a first-come-first-served basis which is ridiculous when you are standing right in front of them with a sick child who is crying!!! Customer Service should dictate that they move a prescription up on the priority list if someone is there who is sick!!!! I mean, come ON!!!! Today I waited an hour and 20 minutes for the prescriptions of my other sick child! Really?? An hour and 20 minutes? We ended up leaving the store without the prescription so I could take her home. When I got home, I received the text that the medications where ready for pick-up! The only reason I went there was because of convenience. Never again!!! read more

The only reason that I'm even rating this Wal-Mart is because it is conveniently on my way to pay a particular bill of mine. I only go into this wal-mart to get a money order. And my review is strictly geared toward their "Money Center," and their kiosk. When I first started going by here I went in, went to their money center kiosk, got my money order, and I was on my way...in and out in less than 5 minutes. But for the past 4 months every time I have stopped in here, and the kiosk has said that the money orders are temporarily unavailable. Didn't think to much about it, went to the Money Center, stood in line, and got my money order and left. But, like I said this has been like this for the past 4 months. I have brought it to the attention to several supervisors and store managers, and I was always given the "we'll look in to it sir, and thank you for bringing it to our attention" BS. When I go to the Money Center, the clerks behind the counter seemed to be very annoyed about my presence, and a few times I have gone in there, there wasn't anyone even behind the counter and I had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for someone to help me. I know that this might seem a little petty that I'm rating this store based on only one section, but when you only have 30 minutes for your lunchbreak it does start to become a big deal when you in a hurry. read more

This is the worst Walmart I have ever dealt with. I got home to find the lazy agent had not scanned any of the $5 worth of coupons I handed her. I had to pick up an item at customer service and did not have a "pickup" notice to give them heads up that I was coming in. I stood there, the only one in line, while the agent fiddled with her scanner and mumbled it wasn't working.(That was at least the third time I have heard this complaint by heffers at this counter.) Instead of giving me her undivided attention, she takes the time to turn around and look for another tape gun for the other associate there. "Yeh, sure, I will wait while you do that instead of her doing it herself". I had one item to pick up yet it took me over five minutes to get it with no one else in line. She finally gets her gun going and gets my product. She also made mention that she was able to take care of me rather quickly,(in her mind). She gave me a notice sheet about the notice of pickup. I had alerted them the last time I attempted picked up something. I sent notice before I left my house, 10 minutes heads up for them. When I got there, I was the only one in line, and three lazy women behind the counter are too buys shooting the s**t to take care of customers. I stood there and when finally spoken to, she claimed her gun was not working and then finally went to get my order. I was there almost 10 minutes for one little thing. I have to finish my shopping at Kroger many times since they don't keep the shelves stocked. One agent cannot do their work without chatting or complaining about the job and pay. They don't acknowledge any customers and only help them when cornered like an animal. If you can get help, it's is begrudgingly and lacking of customer appreciation. I found this bologna when I was in there a month ago. I bet the lazy agent put it on the shelf looking just like I found it. The ONLY ones who are appreciative and excellent at customer service are the associates in the pharmacy. read more

As for a Walmart, the store is alright. Has plenty of stock. But as for the CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT...hands down, the worst experience I've ever had at any Walmart in any state. They ruined site to store for our family point blank period. There were four associates there and literally four brains together could not figure out ONE JOB. I ordered three of the 2pk pillow sets and instead of there being 6 total pillows in the box there were 5. One associate tried to tell me after looking at the RECEIPT that I must've only ordered 5. I'm sorry but 3x2 does NOT EQUAL 5. So she let two other associates search the back to see if I had another box, no one could find it so they ALL stood and stared at me. After THIRTY minutes of them not knowing what to do did they call for someone with more experience???? NO!! They started helping customers behind me in line. I eventually told them to forget the pillow, although I should've gotten one off the shelf. They were so disorganized that they accidentally let another lady sign my receipt. Which wouldn't have happened if they weren't trying to help customers behind me just to get me out of the line. I would just like fellow shoppers to know what kind of rude, childish, untrained associates they let work there..& in ALL of the departments... customer service.
