Busy on a Sunday afternoon. Clean store. Constantly being restocked, but they were still out of some items.

This location is okay without being extraordinary. The merchandise is similar to most Walmarts. The inventory seemed random in some departments. There weren't many sizes in some of the clothing choices. Some shelves were empty. The register lines were long. I chose the self checkout. When I needed help, the employee in that area stepped in. I don't normally visit this location. It was disappointing. read more

Never do an app order for delivery or pickup. This store sells as new open box items with missing pieces and parts. Knowing that this is a vacation and college destination, it is the height of poor customer service to sell defective goods or open boxes when most people have to travel a long distance to this location. I am inclined to believe an employee opened the package, took the cords, taped the box back and put it back on the shelf. This store sucks. The front desk manager or whatever she calls herself is an ineffective wooden stick airhead that needs a personality transplant. She offered no apology, no empathy that the double trip cost me a good two hours and gas, and acted like I was annoying her simple behind. Worse store ever. Horrid read more

Everything is very organized and clean and sanitary and lots of self check outs and o come here 24/7 and and they have everything from good to electrics and and it is big and massive and definitely download the app and it will help you so much to know where everything is located around the store and plus get awesomeness savings with the app or card too and I save so much it is fantastic and plus they have awesome gas station too and with really good prices and always always come here early before the massive crowds come so it is peaceful and relaxing place and not so stressful and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! you can walk or drive or ride ur bike here and not to far and fun and fabulous and give thanks to the lovely employee be nice and kind and smiles they work so hard and here from early morning to even and deserve it and make sure they all get RAISES! This Walmart is bigger than the one we have back home & they have real food as like a grocery store which is the coolest thing. The people are very helpful and if they don't know then they'll immediately get someone else who does. I appreciate the customer service here, it's very spacious which is great esp since Covid is still lingering on. It's very clean. It's neatly organized no matter the aisle you go into. You find things that you probably won't find at your local home Walmarts. These Walmarts here even have a Water station where you can fill up your water jugs and cartons and if you need to replace them you just put them in a rack it was a cool experience I've never seen! I purchased Italian sausages/ Eggs/Cheese/Grits/porkchops/Chicken/Doritos/ Dr teal's Shea butter & Almond oil bath foam and the Orange Ginger calming salts. I'd definitely return here. read more

not a very clean store but well stocked. I'm new to the area and first time at this store.

Staff very rude and racist..Will not shop there again. When asking for help trying to find an item, they ignore you to your face. Bathrooms extremely nasty. Truly it's not good to be of color in that Walmart. They were quick to point out to us that health and beauty had to be paid for in that department because of theft but strangely enough they only pointed out to us...Why??? White people came and went..blacks got stopped. read more

Before checking into my resort for the week, we stopped at the Super Walmart which is located 15 minutes from where we are staying. Full supermarket to go along with the normal Walmart items. The building is huge, could be a little cleaner and updated. This Walmart has a gas station across the street which is cheaper than any of the regular gas stations. read more

If there are a lot of large creatures shopping in Walmart, perhaps it's actually Whalemart. But anyway. This is a good Walmart that has a little bit of everything and usually isn't sold out of things - probably because it's in a low population area. I stopped here a couple of times, and I will probably do so again in future. read more

There are a couple times when this store saved my hungry stomach. Studying at the library until the am time gets you tired and hungry. I came here a few times when I needed some walking and buy a snack. This store does not have a very good selection of produce. The items are not that bad though. There are a ton of cheap things like donuts, pies, cookies, and junk food here. I don't like how big companies make so much money selling unhealthy things to people, but it's also the person who falls into the trap of getting it. It is 24 hours so that is a plus, but there are so few workers. They need to make more self checkouts open during the night. The attendant at the seller checkout is not nice at all! Some of the aisles are super unorganized, I expect to find something in a particular aisle but I have to go two away to find it. There is a McDonald's and a hair salon in this walmart. This super-center is definitely SUPER, it's pretty huge. The layout follows the same pattern that most Walmart's do. There was an officer stationed at the entrance scouting to make sure masks were in place. They are still counting the guest coming and going and actually have a visual counter above head at the entrance so you get to see approximately how many people are in the store at any given time. The store was very neat & clean, shelves stocked and well organized, I saw a LOT of employees working which was a good sign, I hate to go into a store this huge and can't find an employee anywhere. I went while on my mini vacay to see if they had any of the elusive Lysol and Clorox wipes and guess what?! They actually did, the Lysol was the store brand (Great Value) but that didn't bother me. You're only allowed one of each and I was able to score the store brand Lysol and wipes. I had my daughter with me so we each bought one each. They have the self checkout option and the huge site-to-store pickup machine where you can do everything at the machine. Stood in line to check out for over 20 minutes 10 people. Went to the manager twice refused to open up additional lines.

This location is one of the worst. First of all there are never enough registers open. Secondly, the staff are not friendly. They barely acknowledge your existence. I'll say they aren't necessarily rude but they are not welcoming nor do they offer to help proactively as I have seen elsewhere. The pharmacy absolutely needs improvement. Th yes are slow. The people waiting on you often seem as if you're interrupting their day. Oh yeah and don't believe what you see in the app when you're looking for items because things are never located where the app says it is in the store. read more

What's convenient about this Walmart is that it's open 24/7. There's a McDonald's as you walk in to the right. It's not a bad place when it comes to selections. You can pretty much find anything that you're looking for here. This is my go-to spot when it comes to vegetables and fruits. Not the best quality but still reliable. This store gets negative stars for me. The employee at that ran my order was explicitly hateful towards me due to the company I was with. She judged my colleague based on her clothes which is extremely hateful and ignorant. She didn't help my colleague Until finishing her conversation with another indivisible making my colleague wait because of her ignorance towards her difference in culture. She didn't greet her nor did she thank her and looked at her with distaste. I'm appalled by the employees that Walmart hires. Everyone is a paying customer and everyone deserves respect. This Wal-Mart was built right before my senior year at JMU, and now, I have to admit, the only thing I shop for there now is tailgating supplies. If I could give this Walmart zero stars I would - and the whole company as well. I went to the Harrisonburg Walmart yesterday and about 90% of the customers were not wearing masks. It was awful. The law in Virginia STILL requires masks to be worn in public, yet not one employee asked a customer to put on a face covering. I should not have to fear for my life when going to the store. I feel as though Walmart is not taking COVID-19 seriously at all even though they're jeopardizing the safety of their customers and employees. The employees were all wearing masks which was even more confusing to me as I don't understand why Walmart's policy requires them to be masked, but allows thousands of customers to enter the store with no masks. The ladies' restroom is always disgusting. The caulking around the toilets is all mildew and chipping off, toilets covered in urine, and toilet paper sheds on the floor EVERY time I've gone in there for the past year. NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE! I've had to call a few times this year. Last time the phone rang for 20 minutes, then I got transferred and waited another 15-20, and it was the wrong department. Ended up driving half an hour there for no reason. This morning the phone rang for 36 minutes before I finally hung up and decided to write this review. All I wanted to know is what time the money center closes, as I know that kiosk is not 24/7 like the store itself. Typical Walmart. Worst part is the psycho, miserable and careless VA drivers who are always speeding around, even in busy parking lots with many families walking with their children as well as the elderly. People are in such a rush to get somewhere unimportant in their miserable and savage lives, that they will risk killing some child with their car and going to prison just trying to get somewhere maybe a full 10 seconds sooner!?!? Downside they stop selling beer & wine at midnight (now if they had ore that 2 lines open it would have been before midnight...LOL). Yes the prices are great, but customer service sucks! I was buying an item, and it didn't ring up the same as the sign said. They said sorry, customers change the signs, and they wouldn't correct the price. I worked at a department store for a long time, not the customers fault the sign is wrong, you give them the price. I then called the customer complaint number, and let them know what I had experienced. The next day the store manager told me to come back and they would honer the price. To late, I live 30 minutes away, I would use more gas by going there and back than the savings I would have gotten. Not to mention registers are never open, its Walmart everyone goes there, get more employees to work registers! And I also enjoy seeing the signs that say Prices was $5.00 rolled back to $7.00. A cashier asked a customer for his green card when he was trying to pay for a pack of beers, he said he was coming back with it and she replied " sorry, once we denied your purchase, you need to wait 24hrs to try to make that purchase again". Once it was my turn to pay, she was insinuating that my credit card could be a stolen card, "oh, it went through, most bring stolen credit cards".
