We were in desperate need of a good urgent care when we found The Ready Care Clinic. This clinic…read moreshares the same building with Thompson's Pharmacy. I will post a separate review about the clinic in a future review. (All good in case you were wondering) After being prescribed medicine, we opted to just have the prescription filled through Thompson's Pharmacy, as we were right there. There are a number of specific reasons for my five star review. First, this is a local family owned and operated business. the building is simple. The customer is not paying for fancy lighting or expensive facade. The simplicity kind of drew me in, actually. I love doing business with personalities, not corporations. The business is simple inside, well organized, not overstocked, and welcoming. It reminds you of an old fashioned apothecary. The only thing missing was the candy sticks on the counter. The second reason I give it five star review was it was under construction. It was noisy! While some may find this to be a negative aspect, to me it means expansion and better selection and greater service. Struggling businesses don't make additions. Despite the noise, the ladies behind the counter were congenial. They laughed about it and kept smiling and overtalking the noise. They made the best of an otherwise frustrating issue and frankly, it was very professional and really decent. They could have been complaining about the noise, but they accepted it as part of their day and made the best of it. This business is expanding. It is growing. They are building! In the meantime, while the pharmacist was filling our precriptions, the internet on the street went down. Businesses up and down the main corridor were out of internet. Not to be deterred, the ladies laughed it off and told us if we had errands to do, now would be a good time, because they were going to have to manually enter information. I didn't see one frustrated face. I didn't hear one grumpy word. The ladies behind the counter went into "old fashioned work" mode and did it with a smile. We did our other errands and returned to the pharmacy. The prescription was filled, but the debit card readers were not working. Again, the staff never skipped a beat. They hand wrote my wife's card number and information, presented her with her medication and told her that they would run the card when the sytem came back online. The faith they placed in us as customers was also a credit to their customer service skills. They later called to let my wife know that her card had not gone through, and they confirmed her card number and ran it again. This time it was successful. Again, no hard feelings, no visible frustration, no inimical attitude. They just kept on keeping on and served their customer with a smile and common sense. Commerce is not friendly anymore. Customers are numbers and commodities. In this day in age, it was very refreshing to find a pharmacy who did it like they may have done it in Mayberry. For those who will understand the reference, you could almost hear Emma Watson walk in and say, "Ellie, I need my peeels!" The prescription was filled correctly. Safety and dosing instructions were included per state law. Despite a frustrating day I'm sure, for the staff behind the counter, they got the job done with service and a smile and they earned a customer. We will no longer be servicing our pharmacy needs with Kroger (Nothing against them). I like the old fashioned ambience and treatment we received here. I will also say that as I sat waiting for our appointment at the clinic, many customers walked into the pharmacy. As the waiting area for the clinic shares the same space, I was able to overhear some of the conversation from the showroom floor. On a number of ocassions, folks walked in the door and the staff behind the counter greeted them by name and struck up conversations about their lives and "what they were up to these days". This tells me that this business builds rapport and friendship with their customers and they genuinely want to serve them. Parking is ample. Ingress and egress is shared by a few businesses, so you kind of have to be careful pulling in and out, but it is not hard. Restrooms were clean as they could be. I was impressed with the cleanliness given the large amount of people that had been through the clinic and the pharmacy. I'm not sure who is responsible for them, but they were clean. Overall, I am a very happy customer. As my wife was very sick and not feeling well, I failed to get pictures. It just wasn't on my mind at the moment. I encourage you to go see it for yourself. Any local should be happy doing business here.

Friendly prompt service. I love a local Pharmacy. Also great that The Ready Clinic is right there…read moreto be seen if needed and one stop to see a doc and get prescription quickly if needed.
