The store has been remodeled and now we need a map to find out where things are currently located...HOWEVER the restrooms were also remodeled and in the women's rooms, the coat hooks on each stall door is what appears to be six FEET off the floor, and if you have on a coat longer than a jacket, and you cannot reach the hooks, you have to put it on the DIRTY FLOOR. Many women have complained to MANAGEMENT - I know I have several times, and the closest I come to a solution is - 'It has been reported, and something will be done.' MY question is WHEN? Next week, next month, next YEAR??? The only hook low enough in the front is in the handicap stall, and in the back, not even in there. This needs ADDRESSED - and SOONER, not LATER!!! read more

Welp, its a Walmart. It didn't have a lot of items I am used to buying in NY/NY but the staff was very friendly, except for the cashier who was "nice" but seemed to be working on auto pilot (maybe poor girl was tired or feet hurt...‍) It wasn't crowded (1:30pm on a Friday), check out was fast and we were basically in and out. I'm just driving thru to my anniversary celebration weekend (year 1 down) to parts unknown (he wont tell me) and most likely will never be back this way as I live in NYC. But as I said...its a Walmart. Anyway, no surprises here and nothing I haven't written or you haven't read about your average, run of the mill Wally World. read more

This morning I called the walmart car center to ask about balancing my tires. The man on the phone quoted me a price that includes lifetime tire rotation. I told him I do not want that because the last time I paid that extra amount I was still charged for the tire rotation. He informed me they don't do that. I responded with yes you do because it happened. He then told me to take my business elsewhere. Customer service is terrible there. I will wait until Monday and take my car to Young's Tire in Horseheads where I know they value their customers. read more

Walmart supercenter is a place to shop and get lost in between racks of clothes. It is open 24/7, and also huge you can actually live here (please don't follow my advice). The layout for one location to another is pretty similar. Their produce and food section is on the left side, clothing section is in the middle, electronics are in the back or the right corner, and automotive/ garden are on the right side. Shopping at Walmart can be fun or frustrating at the same time. It's fun because the price for some items are very cheap, and it's frustrating because you ended up spend more than what you need. I think to my self, "Oh I only need a gallon of milk, wait a second, those peanut butter chips ahoy! are on sale, buy 2 get 1 free, better get 6 of them." This particular store looks new. It is located in a huge shopping mall complex right across Buffalo Wild Wings, Sally beauty supply and a frozen yogurt store. I stopped in for a restroom break after driving for 3 hours straight from Buffalo. I didn't plan to buy anything but I left the store with 5 things. I give this Walmart a 4 star because this store is clean and organized. All of the express lanes were open so there were no long lines at the check out. The bathroom was decent and looked clean. Parking was easy to find. I didn't check out the produce section because I was afraid I would grab a shopping cart and start to shop, only to realize that I was 3 hours away from home. Overall, I was pleased with this Walmart. I might come back if I ever drive by this area again. read more

Photo center is incredibly inefficient. Some of the slowest service I've ever experienced in retail. Associate who worked with us repeatedly disappeared and was very rude. Definitely inferior to any other photo service I've ever used, especially online services. Prices did not justify this level of incompetence. Would not return. read more

If I could give them absolutely nothing it would still be more than it deserves. A "coach" who I was told was a manager informed me that there was nothing he could do about the fact that my car is now leaking oil as if it is on tap. I brought my car into their auto center for a routine oil change. It was taking longer than I had expected that was fine. It was still alright when the woman working on my car told me that she could not change my oil due to my car being a Volvo and her not having the proper equipment. Again, that was still fine. She hands me my keys as she begins to remove my tag. She tells me that my car has been full of oil and that there was a drip. Everyone knows the difference between a drip and a constant steady stream. I leave thinking I would just need to go somewhere else like she suggested. Only to move my car and see a big puddle as my car is continuing to leak oil. I had been on the road for thirty minutes and had another thirty to go. I race home and call Walmart to speak to the auto department manager only to be left on hold for another 30-40 minutes. To then be told by the "coach", the ho again I was told was a manager, that the woman who had been working on my car had lied on the paperwork saying that my car was leaking. She continued her lies, as the "coach" said " she said that she told you it was leaking and she documented it. There's nothing I can do for you." So not only did she lie but then the "coach" proceeded to tell me that he would need to review the cameras to see if I had received this imaginary paperwork. I then stated that this was my only car, with how fast the leak is going I will not be able to drive my car at all. To which he sarcastically asked me if I had just wanted free by oil. To which I stated " how would I be able to get to the store sir, this is my only car." As he continued to tell me there's nothing he can do. So yes, this store deserves zero stars. No one was able to assist me, my groceries melted while I waited for her to not work on my car, and now my car is leaking and unusable. If in Elmira and looking for a place to get a quick anything for car needs do not go to this Walmart!!!!!!! read more

Listen, I have been to some crappy Walmart's in my day- and when I say crappy, I mean, dirty, can't get service, vowed I would never shop anywhere but Target again!! This Walmart is making me a believer. Staff down every aisle, working hard to keep the store in great shape, as well as being friendly and helpful!
