She had seen him standing there the whole time, yet never communicated that she was closing the line. If she had simply let him know earlier, he wouldn't have wasted his time. It was extremely frustrating for him to leave without a meal, especially since he only had a limited break. It's disappointing that the employee couldn't either take a moment to let him know or just finish his order since he was the last person in line. We expect better customer service from Wegmans.

Whenever I do use a cashier-run register, it is always a pleasant experience - last week I bought 50 candles and the cashier rang me out with a smile and friendly conversation.
