There was an army of food trucks in the parking lot with crazy lines (esp. for 9am), but it didn't fully dawn on me why until I entered and encountered a massive balloon arch and table of goodie bags. They've been advertising this date for awhile now, and I and many other shoppers have had to endure several months of cramped parking (because a large part of the lot was full of equipment/materials for the remodel), bizarre aisle layouts, and closed restrooms while they were in the midst of this remodel. I will say that the place was crawling with employees (and managers...) who all seemed to be in an effervescent mood; I think they had all hands on deck for staffing today. The employee handing out goodie bags jovially encouraged me to check out the many booths set up in the back of the store. I did and found things like coloring sheets, face painting, and henna, as well as on the grocery throughway lots of free samples from various third party sellers (like Kellogg's, Monster Energy, etc.). I got so many that my goodie bag was stuffed beyond capacity. There were even two costumed mascots to take photos with (Chester Cheetah and Tony the Tiger)! So actually, I'll admit, this little event was kinda fun, even if it was celebrating the excesses of capitalism. XP Apart from today, I've been shopping at this location for about a year, since we moved to the area. I go because it's cheaper than the Cub that's closer, and cuz I can get non-grocery items there while I'm at it (like household cleaning supplies, body care, auto stuff, etc.). So in that way it's convenient and worth the longer drive. But it's your typical Walmart in pretty much every way. It's not gonna be amazing, just OK (thus my rating). It's clean enough, stocked enough. Sometimes it's annoyingly crowded (I never ever use a shopping cart unless I absolutely have to). I tend to utilize self checkout as a matter of personal preference so I can bag my items exactly the way I want. Of course it's annoying that Walmart's point of sale devices STILL don't allow tap to pay. Get with the times, Walmart, everyone else has. I also use the mobile app to hunt down random items when I'm not certain where in the store to look (case in point, today I regrettably needed mouse traps...). My luck with asking employees face-to-face here hasn't been very good, so I've defaulted to kinda fending for myself in this regard. Sort of a shame, but I also know that they're pushing to have shoppers not even enter the store physically at all-- this is quite evident from the sheer number of brand new "pickup" spots in their parking lot post-remodel (nearly an entire double row... which seems insane to me). They'd prefer to basically have a local "warehouse" and cart your order out to you under the guise of "your convenience." (We all know this is actually a way to stem shortages and recoup profits; under late-stage capitalism, nothing is done by a big business without there being something in it for them too.) Haha, okay, soapbox over. This is a Walmart. Go there to buy stuff cuz you're mostly broke and feels like the only way to affordably feed yourself in a country beset by rapid inflation! Oops, guess my soapbox wasn't quite over. My bad!

Are you for real having customers with handicap and no toilet seat in handicap stall. No toilet paper, no paper towels. One of the most unpleasant grocery store experiences we have ever had. The cashier was just so…read moreunbelievably rude and unprofessional. She flung another cart up and started throwing my groceries into another cart despite me purchasing bags. Then changed my cart out and rudely told me to move my waters onto a another cart even tho I have a disability and torn shoulder just so she could give my cart to someone else who didn't even want a cart lol I swear it was just so she didn't have to take the extra cart back while she sat in her seat. I had no idea Aldis low prices came with attitude and disregard for humanity. Checks out tho!

Google searched it, and it's 4 miles away. But, this one is brand new and worth it. Same layout like the Eagan store. Open produce and wider aisles. There is the brand new Goodwill next door, and it's next to Walmart and the movie theater. We didn't bring bags along and just found 4 stray boxes. The newest favorite items are cosmic cheese balls and all dressed potato chips. The raspberries here were nice-looking and not pale. It's worth the drive if you're around I 35 in Lakeville.

I'm going to try some new recipes…read more Sometimes you need to go to Cub as Aldi is super limited and Noone wants to go to Costco on a Saturday and I don't need large portions. I'm surprised to see no Robin's Eggs malted milk candy at Easter section. Lunds Byerlys has them. I bought 1/2 and 1/2, buttermilk, sour cream and club soda. The Cub off brand is 99 cents for a liter bottle. At Cub, you bag your own groceries. This Cub was not busy on Saturday at all. Cashier was really nice. I like the small carts to shop with. Easier to operate.

My go to Cub because of location. Most likely the worst customer service of any Cub. Don't go the…read moredeli or the meat/seafood counter unless you want to be treated poorly. The employees in these two areas are pissed off and really don't want to provide service or be there. They should take both of these departments out of the store. They only alienate customers.

I found a 5 pack of Grinch socks I didn't need and a cute Grinch sweatshirt. They had a good variety of Grinch items, but I think Hobby Lobby beats them on price and selection. Interesting fact, Pebbles was the first brand ever created around a TV show character. It's named after Fred Flintstone's daughter Pebbles from "The Flintstones", which aired on TV from 1960 to 1966. I have a high standard when it comes to birthday cake flavored treats and I'm ecstatic to report that this cereal hit the nail on the head. We live near the…read moreFarmington store which is a disaster but we were going to the nearby Cub foods and we decided to stop by to this store. It was night and day difference to the dollar stores that I have been to. This one was neat, clean, organized and the shelves were faced with product. This is way any store should be. The people from Farmington store would look at this one to see how it is done. I was so pleasantly surprised by the care and cleanliness that I may come here instead on the one in my town. They are bigger here with a better selection and they wore masks to keep everyone safe. I will be back. Being laid off during Covid makes you look for ways to save a buck, I highly recommend stopping here to look around. You will be surprised. I was also surprised that it wasn't on Yelp, I had to add it!!
