Several carts lingered in the corrals, and a few had drifted into nearby parking spaces. It was not chaotic, just a little neglected. Inside, the men's room needed some attention. There were paper towels scattered on the floor and water pooled around the sinks. Miss Helen would have taken one look and shaken her head. It was not a disaster, but it did feel like someone had stepped away mid-shift. The rest of the store looked fine, even though I was not shopping for much today. The softlines section was in good shape. Shelves were fluffed and folded, and everything looked reasonably organized. No trash on the floor, no abandoned items tucked into corners. It felt like someone had done a decent walk-through earlier in the day. There were enough registers open to keep things moving, and I did not have to wait in line. No fuss, no delay. Sharliss, or any other Walmart official, please help!!!! Manager, "Asia", at Walmart #04472 has a horrible attitude and tone with customers and is blatantly insubordinate of company policies. She is creating False Return Policies that contradict Walmarts Return Policies and standards. Ignoring proof of true company policies. Refusing customers rightful and legitimate returns. Causing bad customer service experiences and In turn ruining the Walmart reputation and brand. On Wednesday 11/13/24 Between 6p and 6:25p. I attempted to return 2 Everstart (Walmart brand) 12volt deep cycle marine batteries, that I purchased on 11/01/24 and 11/02/24. Asia and her associate refused to allow me to return the batteries. Stating that they typically only allow a 2-3 day purchase window to accept battery returns. Then Asia stated that they typically only accept car battery returns if the batteries are bad, and within 2-3 days. I explained to Asia that I had already called customer service and confirmed that I was allowed to return the batteries. And that her explanation contradicts the posted Walmart return policy at their store and on the website. I said I would call corporate and start there. She said that corporate can't make her accept a return. I walked away and called customer service. Customer service again stated that my return was valid and told me to ask for another manager. They also said to call them and have them speak to the manager. They made a report and gave me a reference number. I went back into the store and tried to get a higher ranking manager. I was told that there wasn't one available and that Asia was the highest ranking manager in the store at the time. I saw Asia and tried speaking with her again. Still she refused and repeated the false return policy that negates Walmarts standard return policy. She refused to speak with Customer Service, even to call herself, saying she wasn't going to speak to anyone on the phone. (Something other managers gladly did when a return policy disagreement came up) She again refused the returns. When I asked when I could speak to a higher ranking manager, she said if I want to speak to her coach Tasia or the store manager (who I discovered is Sharliss), then I should come back another day. As to her false policy, it is not posted in the store or on the receipts. That's a consumer affairs and civil court case liability. I don't know if this is a case of bad training, bad learning, or utter disregard for company standards. But it's a major inconvenience and hassle for me. It has ruined my perception of this Walmart location, their leadership, their integrity, and their customer service. I won't be spending my money at this location or any other Walmart location until this matter is resolved. I also witnessed Asia refuse a customer a return because it was purchased online. The customer pointed out that the Walmart receipt and website state that she could return the item in store. I am very impressed with the quality of customer service and patient care at the Walmart Pharmacy Store 04472, 8425 Mall Parkway Lithonia, GA 30038 Akudo Esekheigbe, Staff Pharmacist took great pride in making me comfortable with her administration of vaccines and providing important information about the vaccine, possible reactions and follow up care. She also gave me reassurance that my prescriptions would be promptly made available. I felt comfortable leaving the pharmacy area to shop. I have a lot of Walmart selections to shop at Walmart's are everywhere but what makes a Walmart different is customer service. I only shop at this location as a last resort. I can never get assistance when needed they have the spray paint locked down with a sign to ask for assistance but guess what nobody around surprise surprise. Then when it's time to check out the lines are ridiculous. Only 2 check out lanes available this is unacceptable! I shouldn't have to wait almost an hour to check out unbelievable... Purchased a 4.5 cu ft, 42.9 inch tall Fridgidaire refrigerator online for pick up at Lithonia store. Picked it up last evening despite the pouring rain. Opened the box this afternoon and it contained a rusted, dented 36 inch tall Magic Chef refrigerator. We were too afraid to see what's inside so we did not bother opening. I called the store and was transferred to Manager - the woman who picked up said she is not the Manager and transferred me back to Online orders who then hung up on me. Lesson: do not bring home any item you have not inspected for this store. read more

I used to shop at the Walmart in Conyers due to convenience, but after visiting this Walmart, I'm definitely shopping here from now on! I honestly can't believe the difference between these two Walmarts. This one is so clean and well-organized, has friendly staff that don't look like they would rather be doing anything else than working here, and best of all - isn't packed and doesn't have backed up checkout lines! I love shopping at Walmart but today that experience changed. I spent about an hour shopping just to get to check out and not be able to use my credit card. Every time I inserted the chip, it asked for my pin (which I don't have because it's a credit card). The employees told me there was nothing they could do and asked for another form of payment. I did have my debit card but I did not want to use it. Super frustrated because I've never had this experience at a Walmart before and the fact I spent all that time picking out my items just to leave the store without them makes me even more upset! I ordered an item online and went to Walmart at Stonecrest to pick up my item. I waited over an hour for the associate to come to pickup. When she arrived she was very unprofessional. They never delivered my grocery order at the right time and i had to cancel one order due to them not finding anybody to deliver it. I didn't receive a call or email that this was happening. I had to contact customer service to find out what happened because they never answer the phone. I reordered my items to come early in the morning. An order came but it wasn't even MY order it was somebody else's. So i had to send it back. After that My ordered still said preparing when it was so called "delivered". I didn't receive a tracking status or anything. My groceries had not be delivered to my address. This is the last time i will ever order from this store. Today the customer service manager who checked us out had poor customer service skills but a man by the name of Raymond had the sweetest personality and made up for it. OMMMM! The store was organized and clean today and filled with nice customers and helpful employees. We were searching for holiday lighting accessories but this location did not have what we needed. Due to the recent holiday rush, certain items are bound to be out of stock so we understood the situation. Although it was around 11am, I found the store to be very quiet and calm. I was able to actually think and really focus on my list which is not always the case when shopping in other locations. I purchased 4 RCA tablets on line at Walmart.com and received an email stating that the items were ready for pickup at the Lithonia- Walmart. On Sunday 12-6-2015 at 1 pm I attempted to pick up the items, however I was told that the items could not be found and I could get a refund after an hour and a half. After checking on line, my item was no longer available and comparable items would not be able to be delivered before Christmas. I purchased these tablets for my job's Christmas Wish list program for children in our foster care program. The co-manager Victor requested that I give him until today (12-7-2015) before 12 to look for the item. He called me this morning and told me that he was not able to locate the items and that I could receive a refund. I explained to him that I do not want a refund, as I have already promised the tablets to the kids. Victor informed me that he would discuss the matter with his manager (Henry) and he would be available until 6 pm today. I arrived at the store at 5:45 pm, however he was not available. I requested to speak to a manager and was informed that I could simply receive a refund and to call 1800 Walmart if that was not sufficient for me. I have never seen such poor customer service in my life, this kind of behavior would not have been tolerated if the store was located in other areas. I believe that they do not think that we are entitled to be treated fairly and no one else would stand for this kind of incompetence. As of right now, I do not have a refund nor do I have the items and I am not happy. The wait time for the site to store is over two hours long. The items are being held in trailers behind the store and there are police accompanying the staff as it appears as though the some of the staff members are stealing the items. I observe one employee being escorted by police in hand cuffs out of the store, while I waited to speak to the manager. Items placed on layaway are being stored in the waiting area with tags on them, which is so easy for customers to interfere with other customers belongings. This Walmart is horrible and it is sad that the Target was closed last year, as it appears that we have no other choice but to shop in this mess. As it is only December 7th, and the last minute Christmas rush has not even started..what will the mess look like then. read more

The staff is very lazy and won't lift a finger to help. This store is beginning to look like the one that was closed down over on Westley Chapel Road in Decatur. Too much junk around the customer service area. Every time I have to go to customer service for anything, I have to wait in a line for at least 40 minutes, I requested that the manager send help for the lady working in customer service, he said he would but he never did. Walmart could learn a lot from Publix when it comes to customer service. I hate going into this store since it came to our neighborhood, so I've decided to go to another store (not Walmart). After waiting in a long line I used a check out machine only to be told that the it didn't accept debit cards (after I self scanned all of my food). The cashier Tariq then tried to check me out at another machine still the debit process did not work. Kept giving a message that machine couldn't process debit cards. I then checked my balance and bank to see if there was a mistake on my end. Nothing, not one problem. More than diffident funds to handle the purchase. Manager came and said there is nothing they can do and that it is a problem on my end and started putting my food back in front of me. I'm stunned as I could use another card or just go to an atm. Now at Publix purchased food with no problems. What's annoying abt this is that they did not know how to fix a problem in their check out machine. This has to be the worse Wal-Mart in the country. I was given a one hour guarantee slip for the 50 inch TV on the evening of Thanksgiving during Blockbuster deals. I stood in line for over an hour and purchase the TV and was told to go online and register my TV to see when I can pick up my TV. I tried to register online and was told that the product is not eligible and to go back to the store. I went back to the store, and apparently, the cashiers was ringing up the TV's incorrectly. I was told by several managers that they have to verify that I purchased the TV. I was told that they have me on survellience walking out of the store with the TV. It took me two hours to convince these knuckle heads that it was not me that they were looking at on the survellience monitor. I was told that there were two monitors in the store and that they were only looking at the one. When they looked at the second monitor, it clearly stated that I was not walking out of the store with a TV. This is that last time I will shop at this store. They need to look at all monitors at all angles before they accuse their customers of fraud.
