Wow! That's all I could think when I got a text message from the automotive department that my vehicle was ready. Just a little story. I recently took one of my vehicles to a different Walmart and it was an absolutely horrible experience. The appointment I had was for 7:00am and to make a long story short they did not return my vehicle until almost 10:00am. All they had to do was replace 1 tire. 1 TIRE! Needless to say, I will never return to that location for automotive service. Anyway, my experience here was like night and day. I ordered 4 replacement tires for my other vehicle a couple of days ago and my appointment for installation was this morning at 10:00am. I actually arrived somewhat early and the gentleman at the service desk checked me in at around 9:50am. He told me that it would take approximately 60 minutes to complete the changing of all 4 tires which I thought was rather fast. I walked around the store and all of a sudden I received a text message from the Walmart Automotive Department stating that my vehicle was ready for pickup. WHAT? Not possible, it's 10:06am at this time! I had to go back there and see if it was a mistake. I walked to the back of the store to where automotive is to see what was going on. Sure enough, my car is sitting in a different location in the parking lot wearing 4 new and beautiful tires. I was just in disbelief how fast they were, I mean thst was 16 minutes from the time they checked me in to the time they text me that the car was done. I jokingly asked them if they had a NASCAR pit crew working back there. I usually don't ask to speak with the store manager unless something has gone seriously wrong and even then I really hate doing so. However this time I asked to speak with the manager because I simply wanted to take a minute to acknowledge his team members at the automotive department and their excellent customer service and very expedient service on my vehicle. So thank you DeRell and all the team members that did such a great job of getting me in and out of the store in record time. This morning I took my friend to get a new tire put on her rim at the auto center. We had already removed the tire from the vehicle so all they had to do was put the new tire on the rim that she purchased from Walmart. After purchasing the tire we were never given an estimated time when it would be done. We waited for an hour until we decided to go back inside and ask when the tire would be ready. His reply was "I don't know". That's when we stated that we needed to know how much longer. He then went into the auto shop and about 1-2 minutes later my friend got a notification that they started working on the tire. Then received another text 30 seconds later that the service was completed. Which means that they changed the tire earlier and just had it sitting in the shop without notifying us. The mechanic came into the store with the tire and just tossed it on the ground and walked over to the register with an attitude. He then went to check her out and when she went to pay with a Walmart gift card he said "I don't know how to do that." He made it seem like she couldn't pay with the gift card. Another customer in the store commented saying that the other guy always works the front desk and would know how to do it. The mechanic just stood there. My friend asked him to get the other guy and he still just stood there. The other guy was in sight and just down an aisle, not helping anyone, just standing there. So she asked him if he could come help with the checkout and the mechanic then told my friend to stop yelling. Which she wasn't.... He finally figured out how to accept the gift card just as the other guy walked up. My friend is not the type to leave reviews so I am leaving one. The service was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly, aside from the third guy who came to get the tire initially. He was very nice. I'd also like to state that they were not busy. Wal-mart, Wal-mart.....I really spend alot of $$$ in the stores & on-line. This used to be just 1 of my favorite locations...I live in Chicago but would come here just to get away & there used to be many great clearance deals & always a nice staff. But this past Wed. I had a bad experience & I am not going to shop here for a long time if ever again. My Husband Gerry & I celebrating our 48th Wedding Anniversary. We often come to Lockport to shop just to get away & do something different. The store used to be very good but since they so called fixed it up & changed it, every time I do shop there it's worse. Now the isles are so tight that I can barely get around with my cart looking in the junior & women's dept. It's the same pain when looking in the health & beauty section as well. If a few people are there it is very congested. Before the rehab the clearance sections had alot of reduced items & I could take a look without a problem. Now the clearance sections are so tight & mixed with plus sizes etc. I have to move things just to get to something. Also it is May & there are winter items still there! not much of a clearance either! Many regular items are so high priced that no one buys them. A non-leather purse for $24.98? Oh please! Give me a break. So no one buys the purses & then I found some for $9 & even $3. That tells you they are over pricing items. Also I know it is Spring then summer is coming. But all you can offer is jean jackets or some flimsy cover up? At l least have some lightweight jackets What really will keep me away is the awful service I had at the self checkout! I am usually a expert at that & never need help. This time I had a gift card. I seen the format was changed when I was scanning my items. Different from what it used to be. Everyone was confused! Anyway I had to ask for help. 1 man told me to ask someone else. I did & the lady was older. Before you jump on me I am 66. But this lady needs to retire or just become a Wal-Mart greeter! Anytime I see her there she is ok but never friendly. This time I had to ask her for help as something was not going through. Keep in mind my sight is not the best. Well, she acted as if It was such a pain in the butt to help me! She was not busy. I told her the card would not go through & she had a bad attitude about that! I guess she had to take a pee or something? I was going to complain to a manager but it was getting late in the day & I wanted to avoid too much traffic. I did ask a very nice young Hindu lady for help & she is always very sweet & made sure the problem was taken care of. I will not go back for a very long time if ever. If that older woman finds working there is such a pain please retire. She may need to work but become a greeter then or work someplace else. Don't take your problems out on other customers lady! NO! Walmart in Lockport, IL -- do not order online. I've never had a problem until my driver , Jazmin, STOLE my groceries. She had the nerve to go to the store pick them up and drive by my house then take them to another location and took a photo and left with them. My contact info is listed she takes them to a location .7 miles away (I find out from Walmart online chat that's where Jazmin left my groceries.) so I of course go there it's not far and it's an Oil Refinery entrance gate. I see the security guard and he laughs at me, then decides to look at footage and Jazmin never made it there at 8:37pm. HOW could Walmart hire a company who has people like Jazmin that could STEAL someone's groceries... on purpose. At any point in time jazmin could have contacted me to say she were lost. Place is one Marianos opening close by to going belly up. Grocery is about all that is operating. Garden department not staffed, inventory levels in housewares and automotive are low. Went in today. Garden dept had 500 fern hanging plants sitting in a dark corner dying rapidly. Priced at 15 bucks each. That is a lot of inventory to kill off. Lockport council should start looking for next corporate partner in this space. Nice big abandoned box coming soon right by the high school. read more

I'm not sure what Mike is talking about, but I use grocery pick up on a very regular basis and it's AWESOME! I'm pretty sure he's using it wrong. When you are on your way (inside of the pick up time window) you press "check in" on your app and you just pull in to a grocery pick up parking lot and they literally walk all of your groceries out to your car and put them in your car for you. There's no fee for it and it's the most convenient thing I have possibly ever done! The ladies who come out and do the service are so nice and kind, and they care so much about getting you just the right product. They even make a point to say that they personally pick the best produce for you. I've had such good experiences! There was one time we had a memorial day party and I had to buy $450 worth of groceries, and I didn't have to go in and shop for all of them myself! Thank you, Walmart! I am very dissatisfied with how Walmart handles there Walmart app. Why have an app for us to check the prices when your managers will not honor those prices. It is extremely frustrating as a customer to get up to the cashier and have them tell you that they're not giving you the price that is on the app and I'm not speaking about online app I'm speaking about in store app. The managers are extremely rude and discourteous. Returning fluorescent light bulb bought last November with receipt and Cassandra at customer service said they have a 90 day return policy. It can't be returned. I walk away and look at the receipt and nowhere on the front or back does it say anything about the 90-day return policy. So I go back to customer service and request to talk to a manager, and while waiting for manager nowhere in the customer service area does it say anything about that policy. And if they do have such a policy, I should be in BIG BOLD PRINT that that's the policy. This walmart is better than the Joliet location but not by much. Only a few registers open at a time so checking out is a joke, they either have nothing you need in stock or they have so many employees stocking to the point, you can barely go down an aisle and god forbid if you say excuse me or have to ask them a question. They have a cashier named Janice who needs to just quit her job because customer service is not for her! Huffing and puffing and having an attitude because you have to bag groceries and work, is not my fault. Far above most other locations for this big box behemoth. Staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. Shelves are tidy and well-stacked, bathrooms impeccably clean. Only issue is that they sometimes are short staffed and it can take a bit to pick up your Site to Store order. Other hand that, great big store with a relatively small town feel. read more

I was deeply disappointed in two of the employees in the automotive department. Yolanda and Al. This is my second encounter with Yolanda and Al. Both have area's of opportunity when it comes to customer service. BTW if you have road hazard on your tires purchased from Walmart, right now, due to the COVID pandemic, per management, you must call the store and set up and appointment to have any tire issues addressed. MANAGEMENT was very accommodating once the issue was brought to their attention. I would suggest contacting management to coordinate how any appointments. read more

While Walmart does have a lot of items and some are decently priced, they do not price match. I brought in a sales ad from Sears and attempted to get them to price match, they refused to price match even with the ad in hand. The manager did not have a good reason and often stuttered while talking to me and was clearly nervous about why he was not price matching. read more

I just left this store and will never go back again unfortunately. I was there to make a return and the elderly female greeter had a scanner I'm assuming to help with the flow of traffic in returns. She asked if i had bought the diapers at the store and I said i didn't know as they were a gift. She then huffed and puffed and said that if she scans them and they're not then it will mess up her scanner but ohhhhkay we will just have to hope it works. Of course 2 of them didn't and she rolled her eyes and threw a fit because I had now messed up her scanner. Keep in mind i am in customer service and DO understand things can be frustrating but she made me feel so bad about wanting to check on a return. She then sent me to customer service with a ticket for the two that did we're not purchased in store saying just let her know which are which. I get there and was told i needed a receipt for the ones that were even bought in store. I didn't have one so they figured it out and put the balance on a gift card. Again all the while huffing, no smile, rolling of eyes. I am so bummed with this whole experience. I then went to get wicker baskets and searched up and down and found about 3 different kinds. I figured no big deal but i should ask before I leave just to make sure I didn't miss a spot. I walked up to the craft desk where female and male employee were talking. The female made eye contact with me and kept talking and ignored me. The guy saw me and asked if I needed something, I asked and the female answered no we don't have any more than what you saw. Signed up for Yelp just to post this review. Most poorly managed and rude customer service I have ever come across. The manager, Arianna, needs to be fired immediately. I was buying burgers, chips, beer etc. for a cookout this weekend. I was in line by myself and AFTER cashier had already checked my ID (I'm 22), Manager comes by and asks for my ID again. She runs it through the system and claims she can't sell to me because my cousin was in line with me. My cousin is 20 and was NOT in line with me. The manger proceeded to continually lie saying he was in line with me and couldn't sell to me. The cashier and customers behind me in line also voiced disagreement! I understand corporate policy however she lied to enforce the policy. She was extremely rude towards me for no legitimate reason. Worst customer service I've ever encountered, I will buy my groceries elsewhere in the future. Arianna is a disgrace to Walmart and anyone who has worked in customer service. read more
